The purpose of this study is to examine the reaction of stock prices on the implementation of Extensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) in companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). ...Using the event study method and calculating abnormal returns of the 2015 financial statements of 462 companies listed on the IDX, findings showed that 49 companies have not applied the XBRL format in their financial statements. Based on the results of the Average Abnormal Return (AAR) and Cumulative Average Abnormal Return (CAAR) values, using the one-sample test, investors react to shares in companies that have not implemented XBRL and who have implemented XBRL; however, based on the independent t-test based on average values there are differences between companies that have not applied XBRL and those who have implemented XBRL. This research only looks at the one-year implementation of XBRL in financial reporting (2015), then the research does not separate which companies are on time in the delivery of financial statements to the public through the IDX website. Our research contributes to the understanding of the use of XBRL in corporate financial reporting because before the XBRL financial reporting format was published, the company had published a financial statement format based on the legal provisions of financial statements in Indonesia. This study examines the association of accounting conservatism, growth and macro-economic risk factors and valuation error of residual income model in Indonesian Stock Exchange. We use beta, book to ...market ratio, and size as proxies for macro-economic risk. Using sample of 186 companies taken from LQ-45 for the year of 2001 – 2005, we find that accounting conservatism and growth, have no significant influence toward residual income model valuation error. B/M has significant influence toward valuation error and has consistent sign as predicted by theory. Beta and Size has no significant influence toward valuation error. Overall, macro-economic risk factors can explain the valuation error better than accounting-based factors.Future research is expected to find accounting variables that can represent macro-economic risk and test their ability to explain valuation error. Also, future research need to confirm the relevance of accounting conservatism in stock valuation after implementation of IFRS in Indonesia.
This study aims to explain the importance of education to examine and analyze dividend policy as a variable on the effect of expropriation, several large shareholders, and firm value. The type of ...research used is quantitative explanatory using secondary data, namely 2015 to 2020 annual reports taken from the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), Indonesian Capital Market Exchange (ICMD), and the website www.investing.com. The sampling method in this study was purposive sampling so that a sample of 3,328 data was obtained. The data analysis method used in this study uses the unbalanced data panel and path analysis method with the Eviews software program. The study's results prove that dividend policy does not mediate between expropriation and firm value but instead becomes a variable that mediates several large shareholders with firm value. This means related party transactions as proxies cannot be used as a benchmark in assessing a company.
