In every household there are many family activities that provide the necessary income or living foods. Some activities are related to cultivation of land, others for breeding other means services ...provided by the vilagers. The products of the own household must cover 40% of meals offered to tourists. These products are produced by the householder work in their household, the tourist having the opportunity to observe how the products are produced and participate effectively in this production. Specific rural household products can be recovered through tourism by both indirect and direct ways. Both variants can generate increased profitability and interest of the tourist business activity and impose a sense of satisfaction for quality benefit, issues that may be, in turn, assumptions favorable to the extension of this work.
Due to the multiculturalism of this region, the rural tourism products most demanded by the tourists are natural and cultural resources, and the traditions and customs of the Banat’s village. The ...history of the people living here and the crafts such as pottery or traditional agricultural produce processing constitute but part the tourism offer of the Banat’s village for those in search of authenticity. Introducing these tourism products among other tourism products can help promoting both tourism products and routes because the interest in the tourism destinations is already known.

Currently tourism activity is rising, and the fierce competition between destinations, plus the stress conditions of the present time makes, lately, searching rural areas for rest and recreation to ...be a general trend in world practice of current tourism. In this context, each community has a chance of developing it, but to accomplishing it must highlight the valences through competitive agrotourist products. The content of agrotourist product involves complex packages of products and services, both from the "base" area and in the "entertainment" area.
The popularity of the forms of rural tourism has grown in recent years. From the individual initiatives it become a real alternative for leisure. In the majority of rural settlements, defining ...emblematic is multiple: landscape quality and warmth of the people, works of art and folk technique, traditional occupations, costumes, customs, traditions, cuisine, local resources, etc. To these are added awareness, by farmers, of the need to diversify the activities by engaging in forestry, tourism or calling certain activities on specific period, within the local economy.
Cattle husbadry occupy and will occupy a priority place in the economy of animal production in our country. Their increasing importance is given by the variety of products that they provide. Cattle ...husbadry is a traditional activity of the country. Variety of products they carry out, reduced energy consumption and nature kind of feed they consume, gives growth and and exploitation of cattle activities a sustainable and perpective character. There is also the possibility to export beef cattle witch can provide large profits for producers. Can be regarded as a source for trade and also provide stability of employment in rural and mountain area. According to Euromonitor International study, Romania is placed first among states in developing the annual average growth of the dairy market in the 1998-2006 period, namely 25.8%. The Romanian market of dairy products was estimated at nearly one billion dollars last year. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development informations, demand for milk and milk products in Romania went up with 1.5% until 231.1 kilograms per inhabitant.

The popularity of rural tourism forms has increased in recent years. From the initiatives with individual character it has been reached a real alternative leisure. The reason? Authenticity of rural ...areas is a quality becoming more demanding in terms of current life. Synonymous with a holiday spent with little money in nature, rural tourism forms, like and are becoming increasingly popular. Folk heritage of folk architecture, folk customs and traditions, crafts, port and popular folklore, gastronomy specific is the most popular tourist attractions in rural tourism. The strategies developed in the field of ecotourism contribute to the creation of a favourable environment in this sector of activity and to the meeting of tourists’ demands without endangering the ...natural resources in the Banat’s protected areas. Management should take into account the main requirements regarding the ecological exploitation of the areas, the judicious exploitation of the tourist flows and the establishment of support thresholds as well as the implementation of material recycling measures in the area. Cooperation between rural and ecological tourism produces benefits such as diversification of economic activities, development of infrastructure and increase of demand for rural goods and services – all this contributing to the long-term economic stability in areas with such natural resources.
The popularity of rural areas, as a possibility to spend the vacation has increased in recent years, in most countries. Changes in attitudes were parallel with changes in European styles to taking ...the holidays, but also in preferences to return to nature, and various local products. At the European level there is a large interest for the development of agrotourism and its ability to contribute to the development of rural areas, therefore there are countries that have made from agrotourism a lifestyle and additional incomes with witch that pride. Based on this statement this paper follows agrotourism activity in several European countries, considered most representative: Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Italy.
