Papaya fruits (Carica papaya L.) are valuable both as food, including concentrates and mixed beverages and in traditional medicine. The goal of the study was to evaluate the antioxidant activity of ...various parts of unripe and ripe papaya fruit from the DPPH· kinetics point of view. Peel, pulp, seed, and seed-pulp of unripe and ripe papaya fruits (¼ and >¾ level of ripening) were extracted with ethanol and monitored at 517 nm in the presence of DPPH·. The radical scavenging capacity (RSC) at various time ranges and DPPH· reaction rates for specific time intervals were determined. The highest RSC values were obtained for papaya pulp extracts, consistently higher for the ripe samples in comparison with the unripe ones (86.4% and 41.3%). The DPPH· rates significantly differ for the unripe and ripe papaya extracts, especially for the first time range. They are more than double for the ripe papaya. These values were 2.70, 4.00, 3.25, 2.75 μM/s for the peel, pulp, seed, seed-pulp extracts from the ripe papaya and only 1.00, 1.65, 1.40, 1.80 μM/s for the unripe samples. DPPH· kinetic approach can be useful for a fast and simple evaluation of the overall antioxidant properties of fruit extracts.

The strategies developed in the field of ecotourism contribute to the creation of a favourable environment in this sector of activity and to the meeting of tourists’ demands without endangering the ...natural resources in the Banat’s protected areas. Management should take into account the main requirements regarding the ecological exploitation of the areas, the judicious exploitation of the tourist flows and the establishment of support thresholds as well as the implementation of material recycling measures in the area. Cooperation between rural and ecological tourism produces benefits such as diversification of economic activities, development of infrastructure and increase of demand for rural goods and services – all this contributing to the long-term economic stability in areas with such natural resources.
Due to the multiculturalism of this region, the rural tourism products most demanded by the tourists are natural and cultural resources, and the traditions and customs of the Banat’s village. The ...history of the people living here and the crafts such as pottery or traditional agricultural produce processing constitute but part the tourism offer of the Banat’s village for those in search of authenticity. Introducing these tourism products among other tourism products can help promoting both tourism products and routes because the interest in the tourism destinations is already known.

Active tourism is together with dedicated tourism and ecotourism a subtype of alternative niche or adventure tourism that differs from mass tourism by the way of organization and human resources ...involved, by including in the tourist products offered of many activities that require physical effort and a certain level of physical training. Although many researchers propose the replace of the phrase active tourism with active sports tourism, a distinction must be made between active participation in activities, following sporting events and visiting attractions related to sports. Among the niche tourism forms the most well-known are active tourism, tourism dedicated to its forms, the first partially overlapping on other forms of tourism, cultural, adventure, rural, hunting, equestrian and farm and nature tourism. The practice of this form of tourism, active tourism, requires investments in the development of tools for the creation of products and routes and platforms to improve marketing management regarding the marketing of active tourism products.

Authenticity is a phenomenon with multiple local cultural, traditional resonances due to the ethnic multiculturalism of different areas of the Earth, for these reasons authentic tourism becomes a ...modern form of tourism through the specificity of local destinations with vocation.
