Food is certainly one of the very important elements on every travel. Most tourists on their trips want to try something new and unusual. Authentic food is partly a representation of people's culture ...as well as some particular regions. The aim of this paper is to determine whether food is an important factor for tourists when choosing a tourist destination and whether they buy authentic products when leaving in order to recommend someone to try the products from that region. Participants were tourists who visited Serbia (N = 55). Data were processed by descriptive method. According to the gathered and analised data, a large number of respondents choose a tourist destination on the grounds of its authentic food and buys products that are characteristic for that region, thus indicating that they liked the food and that they would visit that specific destination again.
Introduction: A substantial proportion of inpatients experience hyperglycemia during hospitalization. Use of basal insulin has been recommended by ADA guidelines since 2007, however the uptake of ...this recommendation has been slow. Here, we characterize the adoption of basal insulin in inpatients at one adult academic hospital.
Methods: De-identified data from the hospital’s electronic health record repository was used to identify a cohort of patients who received subcutaneous insulin during their hospitalization between 03/26/2008 and 12/30/2018. To capture patients for whom a generalist could be expected to manage their hyperglycemia, we excluded patients receiving insulin via pump, U-500 insulin, single doses >100U, or insulins ordered < 10 times, as well as those with a creatinine > 2mg/dL at any time during admission.
Results: In the cohort of 61,947 inpatient encounters in which insulin was given, no basal insulin was ordered in 61%, decreasing from a 78% in 2008 to 53% in 2018. The annual number of encounters in which insulin was given increased >20% over the decade. The proportions of blood glucoses (BGs) > 200 mg/dL (28% vs. 14%) or <70 mg/dL (1.2% vs. 0.6%) were higher for patients ordered for basal insulin. Although hypoglycemia decreased over time (1.2% to 0.9% of BGs), hyperglycemia increased (16% to 26% of BGs).
Conclusions: Despite improvements since basal insulin became a guidelines recommendation, the rate of inpatient basal insulin orders remained < 50% as of 2018 at one academic center. The number of patients receiving insulin and the proportion of hyperglycemia has increased, whereas the incidence of hypoglycemia in this population decreased over time.

Signs of feeding intolerance, such as gastrointestinal (GI) symptoms, are frequently observed in otherwise healthy formula-fed infants in the first months of life. The primary objective of this ...observational study was to examine GI tolerance in formula-fed infants (FFI) vs. breastfed infants (BFI) in a real-world setting with a secondary objective being the comparison of infants fed formula with pre- and/or probiotics (FFI_PP) and those fed formula without any pre- and/or probiotics (FFI_noPP) as well as BFI.
A six-country, cross-sectional study in full-term exclusively/predominantly FFI (n = 2036) and BFI (n = 760) aged 6-16 weeks was conducted using the validated Infant Gastrointestinal Symptom Questionnaire (IGSQ) and a Feeding Practice and Gut Comfort Questionnaire.
The IGSQ composite score in FFI was non-inferior compared to BFI (mean difference 95%CI: 0.17 -0.34, 0.67; non-inferiority p-value < 0.0001) and scores for BFI and FFI were below the threshold of 23, indicating no GI discomfort. Adjusted mean IGSQ scores ± SE were similar in FFI_PP (22.1 ± 0.2) and BFI (22.3 ± 0.3) while FFI_noPP (23.4 ± 0.3) was significantly higher and above 23 indicating some GI discomfort (mean differences 95%CI FFI_noPP minus FFI_PP and FFI_noPP minus BFI were 1.28 0.57, 1.98 and 1.09 0.38, 1.80, respectively; both p < 0.01). Hard stools and difficulty in passing stool were more common in FFI compared to BFI (p < 0.01) but were less common in FFI_PP compared to FFI_noPP (p < 0.01). FFI_PP showed significantly less crying than FFI_noPP and was similar to BFI. Significantly fewer physician-confirmed colic episodes (Rome IV criteria) were reported in FFI_PP compared with FFI_noPP or BFI.
In this real-world observational study, FFI had non-inferior overall GI tolerance compared to BFI. Within FFI, infants receiving formulas with pre- and/or probiotics had a better GI tolerance, improved stooling and less infantile colic compared to those receiving formula without any pre- and/or probiotics and were more similar to BFI.

Shaped zinc sulfide nanocrystals were synthesized in W/O microemulsions by using cyclohexane/Triton X-100/
n-pentanol/water system. Under different synthetic conditions appearance of two distinct ...morphologies of ZnS nanocrystals, either cubes or nanowires, was proven by transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The ZnS cubes have an average size of about 25 nm, while the ZnS nanowires have 25 Å diameter and length ranging from several hundred nanometers up to a few microns. The X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD) revealed formation of ZnS with cubic zinc blende crystal structure. Due to two dimensional confinement the exciton of ZnS nanowires is blue shifted compared to the bulk material. Four well-resolved photoluminescence bands in visible spectral region were observed upon excitation of cubic ZnS particles, while in the case of ZnS nanowires emission band was observed at 421 nm. The origin of photoluminescence bands was discussed in details.
Deliberative democracy holds that, for a democratic decision to be legitimate, it must be preceded by deliberation among decision-makers. this means that democratic decision cannot be merely the ...aggregation of preferences that occurs in vot-ing. thus, citizens may change their initial opinions and preferences as a result of the reflection induced by deliberative communication and by taking into account other people’s opinions. the aim of this paper is to outline the view of deliberative democ-racy developed by amy Gutmann and Dennis thompson as well as to address some of the concerns raised by the critics regarding its practical implementation.
Jedan od strateških ciljeva Europske unije (EU) u području zdravlja životinja proglašenje je cjelokupnog prostora EU slobodnim od klasične tzv. „zemaljske“ bjesnoće do 2020. godine.
One of the strategic goals of the European Union (EU) in the field of animal health is to declare the entire EU territory free of classical terrestrial rabies (rabies in non-flying animals) by 2020. Thanks to the success of oral vaccination, implemented in Europe since 1978, most countries in Western and Central Europe have been free of rabies since the beginning of the 21st century. The last case of rabies in Croatia was recorded in the spring of 2014, just three years after the start of implementation of the national oral rabies vaccination programme. The logical next step is obtaining the official status of a rabies-free country, and consequently transitioning to a new rabies control policy in the country. However, understanding rabies as a global threat to health, especially given the presence of the virus in bats, and constant monitoring is still needed.

In the present study, we propose compounds of the methanolic leaf extract as possible chemotaxonomic markers for the
complex. Eleven flavonoids and two phenolic acids were detected in leaf extract using high-performance liquid chromatography with diode-array detection analysis. The investigated taxa of the
complex differ in terms of the composition of the methanolic leaf extract. clustering of investigated taxa is not completely consistent with the previously reported molecular and morphometric data.

In the course of his artistic career, which has lasted for more than fifty years now, Vladan Radovanovic (b. Belgrade, 1932) has created works in the domains of electroacoustic music, mixed ...electronics, metamusic, visual arts artifugal projects, tactile art, literature, drawings of dreams, polymedial and vocovisual projects, as well as art theory. Central to his poetics is the theme of synthesic art. Based on a synthesis of the arts and a fusion of media, the flow of his opus disturbs the limitations of art. His synthesis of media-lines is neither a product of rational decision, nor is it inspired by the works of other artists. Its initial form appears in the mind of the artist as a sensation or a representation that emerges from sleep and dream or from his exploration of the mysteries of his inner being. In an attempt to create a classification of the arts that would suit his understanding of the nature of art, Radovanovic has suggested a basic division into single-media and multi-media arts. Single-media arts include music, poetry and painting, whereas the remaining arts belong to the multi-media group. The latter contains works created by an expansion of mixed forms such as theatre, opera and ballet, but in which the media involved accomplish greater integrity - mixedmedia (for example: happening, fluxus etc) multimedia (opera, film, environment) and intermedia (a term which possesses two meanings: a new media that is in-between media, or a new media in which all the elements are equal and integrated). Radovanovic prefers the second meaning, but he uses the term polymedia for such works. This term is analogous to polyphony, because Radovanovic has aimed to create a polymedia form in which separate media lines would be treated in counterpoint, in order to remain complementary and mutually dependant. In 1957, Radovanovic began to sketch his theoretical thesis, initiated by his concrete artistic output. Although he had distinguished his diverse artistic output according to formal and designative characteristics, later he subordinated his work to the term synthesis art. Synthesic art is, according to Radovanovic, one of the models of multi-medial arts. We have analyzed the works of Vladan Radovanovic, which do indeed belong to the category of synthesic art, on many levels. First of all we tried to locate his opus in the context of Serbian and European art. Radovanovic's avant-garde poetics was born in the context of Serbian art in the second half of the 20th century, which was dominated by 'moderate modernism'. His works did not fit into the existing world of art, and therefore were marginalized and underestimated. Despite his innovative spirit, hunger for novelty, and aim to transcend the materiality of materials, which are all characteristics of high-modern avant-garde poetics, Radovanovic claims autonomy. His latest works do not fit into the current world of art either, because he does not want to place his poetics in the domain of contemporary post-modern poetics and theories. His intentional evasion of fashionable currents is a product of his conscience, which asks that he remain faithful to himself and his inner artistic vision. Another theoretical challenge when addressing the works of this artist was to locate his synthesic art within the larger historical and contemporary manifestations of the total world of art, especially where his works compare with Richard Wagner's Gesamtkunstwerk. Radovanovic believes that his concept of synthesic art is similar to Gesamtkunstwerk, but in no way equal. Therefore, we have examined all the controversies about the usage of the term Gesamtkunstwerk, as well as different theoretical approaches to this concept and its evolution; then, we have analyzed it in terms of the theoretical and practical realization of synthesic art. By formulating in detail his theory of synthesic art, Radovanovic has given us a key for the understanding and analysis of his works of art. For example, we have analyzed several of his earlier multi-media works (Dreams, vocovisual works Desert (Pustolina), Polyaedar, Ball, Change and Vocovisual omages, and polymedia projects Electrovideoaudio, Building of Rooms-Signs, The Great Sounding Tactyzone, Polim 2, Polim 3, video-work Variations for TV) as well as one of his latest synthesic works, Constellations, in order to describe the practical realization of his theory, and to demonstrate how his poetic model is equally precise and flexible. Radovanovic both realizes and recognizes his artistic output and theoretical thought as a united product as they were both created in his synthesic mind.
