The enhancement of hole injection layers is strongly important issue for obtaining high-efficient and low-driving-voltage Organic Light-Emitting Devices (OLEDs). In this paper, we presented a ...comprehensive electroluminescence (EL) study of phosphazene-based ionic liquids (PzILs) used as a hole transport layer in solution-processed OLEDs. Charge transfer properties of PzILs were investigated by doping in poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) polystyrene sulfonate (PEDOT:PSS) at different ratios (0.1, 0.2, 0.5, 1.0, 2.0). Previously synthesized four types of PzILs (namely PzIL1, PzIL2, PzIL3, and PzIL4) were prepared in de-ionized water with 10 mg/ml concentration, mixed with PEDOT:PSS and examined for their charge transport characteristics on OLED device performance due to their ionic nature. The device with PzIL1 exhibited the best performance with luminance 4185 cd/m

compared to other devices with and without PzILs. Further, Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations and admittance spectroscopic analysis of OLEDs based on four types of PzILs were studied profoundly. Admittance spectroscopy has been used for revealing the carrier transport properties, mobility and the equivalent circuit modeling of the devices. Objective: The purpose of the current study was to investigate the prevalence of incidental paranasal sinus abnormalities on brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). We also aimed to assess the ...season, the age and sex-related differences in the frequencies of these abnormalities. Methods: Paranasal sinus cavities of 839 patients who underwent brain MRI for suspected intracranial pathology were retrospectively evaluated for the presence of incidental abnormalities. Two study groups were established according to the season in which the MRI examinations were performed, and the prevalences of the incidental sinusal abnormalities in both winter and summer were calculated. The relation of the incidental sinusal abnormalities to age and sex were also analyzed. Results: Of the 839 patients, 45.5% showed one or more sinusal abnormalities. The prevalence of the sinusal abnormalities was significantly higher in winter (50.6%) than in summer (40.3%) (p=0.003). While sphenoidal sinus lesions did not show significant seasonality (p>0.05), frontal, maxillary and ethmoidal sinus lesions were significantly more common in winter than in summer (p<0.05). In both summer and winter, incidental sinusal abnormalities among men were significantly higher than among women (p values of 0.013 and 0.033, respectively). There was no significant relationship between incidental sinus abnormalities and age in either season (p>0.05). Conclusion: Paranasal sinus abnormality is a frequent incidental brain MRI finding which is more commonly detected in winter. Awareness of incidental paranasal sinus abnormalities and knowledge of its frequency contribute positively to clinical applications. Intimate partner violence (IPV) is an important human rights problem faced by one in three women worldwide. The aim of this study is to evaluate the demographic, trauma, and radiological ...characteristics of patients admitted to a tertiary emer-gency department due to IPV.
Sociodemographic characteristics (age, gender, education level, and marital status), trauma characteristics (severity, type, and location), radiological imaging findings (radiography, computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging) of patients diagnosed with IPV were evaluated.
In the study, 1225 patients were evaluated, and 98.7% of them were women (mean age 35 IQR: 17 years). Of the pa-tients, 63.1% were high school and university graduates. The rate of married women was 74.6%. No relationship was found between gender, age, educational status, and marital status (p>0.05). Most of the traumas were minor (85.4%) and blunt (81.9%) trauma, and the most common types of trauma were kicking (49.9%) and punching (47.3%). It was found that the most frequently affected areas of the patients were the head and neck (76.7%), and the frequency of pelvic trauma was high in male patients (p<0.05). The most com-mon bone fracture was nasal (40.5%) followed by ulna fractures (14.5%). The left-sided diaphyseal fractures were the most common in patients exposed to IPV. In our study, the frequency of mortality was 12.9%, and it was found to be significantly higher in males (p<0.05).
Female patients are more frequently exposed to IPV. Specific injury characteristics can be detected in patients diagnosed with IPV and old fractures detected in these patients should alert the clinician about IPV.
Gelişen tıbbi teknoloji ile birlikte radyolojik görüntüleme de tıp pratiğinde önemli bir yere sahip olmuştur. Son yıllarda uluslararası düzeyde yapılan değerlendirmelerle, tanısal radyolojide ...kullanılan bu temel inceleme yöntemlerinin kullanımındaki artışa dikkat çekilmektedir. Bu çalışma ile ikinci basamak sağlık tesisinin şehir merkezinde olan konumu gereği geniş bir yelpazede başvuru kabulü olması nedeniyle radyolojik görüntüleme tetkiklerinin dağılımının incelenmesi ve radyolojik tetkik istemlerinin cerrahi ve dahili branşlar açısından belli kriterler doğrultusunda yapılmasının önemine dikkat çekilmesi amaçlandı.
01.01.2015 ile 31.12.2018 tarihleri arasında ayaktan radyolojik görüntüleme istemi ile Radyoloji Kliniği’nde işlem yapılmış olan radyolojik görüntüleme türleri ve sayıları hastane bilgi yönetim sistemi üzerinden elektronik ortamda elde edilerek incelendi. Dört yıllık süre içinde Radyoloji Kliniği’nde toplam 3.357.564 görüntüleme işleminin yapıldığı tespit edildi. Çalışmaya, 2.018.595 Konvansiyonel Radyografi (KR), 568.725 Ultrasonografi (USG), 400.530 Bilgisayarlı Tomografi (BT), 292.221 Magnetik Rezonans Görüntüleme (MRG) ve 41.852 Mamografi (MG) olmak üzere toplam 3.321.923 görüntüleme işlemi dahil edildi.
KR işlemleri içinde en fazla istem yapılan grafi türünün değerlendirmeye alınan yıllarda İki Yönlü Tek Eklem Grafisi olduğu tespit edildi. USG işlemleri içinde en fazla istem yapılan türün değerlendirmeye alınan yıllarda ait olduğu yılın toplam USG sayısı içinde sırasıyla 2015 yılında %15,92 ile Meme USG, 2016-2018 yıllarında ise Tüm Abdomen USG olduğu saptandı. MRG işlemleri içinde en fazla istem yapılan türün değerlendirmeye alınan yıllarda ait olduğu yılın toplam MRG sayısı içinde sırasıyla 2015 ve 2016 yılında %24,87 ve %25,45 ile Beyin MRG olduğu 2017 ve 2018 yıllarında ise sırasıyla %22,35 ve %23,15 ile Lomber Vertebra MRG olduğu görüldü. BT işlemleri içinde en fazla talep edilen türün Beyin BT olduğu tespit edildi. Meme MG tetkikinin 2015 yılından 2018 yılına kadar yaklaşık %60,89 artış olduğu saptandı.
Çalışmamızın sonuçlarına göre; Meme USG’nin ve Tüm Abdomen USG’nin en sık istenen tetkikler arasında olmasının, genelden özele doğru bir tanılama ve kontrol süreçlerini işaret ettiği söylenebilir. Tüm görüntüleme tetkik alanlarında en az yapılan tetkiklerin özellikli hizmet sunan branşlar bazında spesifik istendiğini göstermektedir. Ancak çalışmamızın sonuçları ışığında gereksiz veya sık kullanımlara yönelik net bir bilgiyi de ifade edemiyoruz. Buradan hareketle tetkiklerin istem sebepleri, tetkiklerin sonuçları, tanı ve tedaviye katkıları ile bir bütün olarak incelenmesinin ne kadar önemli bir anahtar ipucu olduğu kanaatini kuvvetlendirmektedir. İstem sebebi ne kadar net belirlenmişse klinik branşlar arasında o kadar net iletişim ve doğru yön belirleme mümkün olabilir.
Amaç: Femoroasetabular sıkışma, erken kalça osteoartriti oluşturma potansiyeli bulunan kalça ekleminin disfonksiyonudur. Bu çalışma ile herhangi bir endikasyonla pelvik Bilgisayarlı Tomografi ...incelemesi yapılmış olan hastaların Alfa Açısı ve Femur Boyun-Baş Offset ölçümlerinin radyoloji uzmanları ile birlikte incelenmesi amaçlandı. Gereç ve Yöntem: 18-45 yaş arası çeşitli nedenlerle pelvik Bilgisayarlı Tomografi incelemesi (kontrastlı veya kontrastsız) yapılmış olan 891 bireyin sağ ve sol 1.782 kalça eklemine ait sonuçları retrospektif olarak değerlendirildi. Bilgisayarlı tomografi kesitlerinde Alfa Açısı ve Femur Boyun-Baş Offset ölçümleri yapıldı. Bu çalışmada, Alfa Açısının 55° ve üzerinde olması, Femur Boyun-Baş Offset mesafesinin 8 mm’den küçük olan ölçüm değerleri anormal olarak değerlendirildi. Bulgular: Bu çalışmada 758’i (%85,1) erkek ve 133’ü (%14,9) kadın olmak üzere toplam 891 birey dahil edildi. Bireylerin ortalama yaşı 24,65 ± 6,01 idi. Çalışmaya dahil edilen tüm bireylerin sağ Alfa Açısı ortalaması 45,42 ± 4,4 (min 38,00, maks 62,00), sol Alfa Açısı ortalaması 46,65 ± 5,1 (min 38,00, maks 72,10), sağ Femur Boyun-Baş Offset ortalaması 10,21±0,02 (min 6,2, maks 11,4), sol Femur Boyun-Baş Offset ortalaması 10,57 ± 0,01 (min 5,6, maks 12,0) idi. Her iki kalça ekleminde Alfa Açısı ≥ 55°bulunan birey sayısı toplam 37 olup bu bireylerin 33’ü erkek, 4’ü kadın idi. Her iki kalça ekleminde Femur Boyun-Baş Offset < 8 mm bulunan birey saptanmadı. Sonuç: Femoroasetabular sıkışma ile ilişkili olduğu bilinen görüntüleme özellikleri özellikle erkek bireyler olmak üzere asemptomatik yetişkin kalça eklemlerinde görülmektedir. Asemptomatik genç erkek ve kadın bireylerde antropometrik ölçümlerin normal sınırlar dışında olması halinde bu bireylerin bulgularına yönelik klinik korelasyonu önerilmelidir.
Spinal extradural arachnoid cysts (SEACs) are rare expansive lesions that account for ~1% of all spinal tumors. They develop as the result of arachnoid membrane herniation through a small dural ...defect and are mostly reported to be located at lower thoracic region and thoracolumbar junction.
We report a rare case of SEAC located in the cervicothoracic junction causing neurologic compression.
Only 3% of all SEACs are observed in the cervical spine. They are the most common in young men and present with compressive symptoms. SEACs have potential to enlarge. As they are surgically removable lesions, early and definite diagnosis is important in preventing clinical deterioration. MRI is recommended for the diagnosis and preoperative planning.
In the present study, the negative real permittivity behavior of a copolyester of bisphenol-A with terephthalic acid and isophthalic acid (PAr) containing 1.5 to 7.5 wt% multi-walled carbon nanotubes ...(MWCNTs) have been investigated in detail. The structural and morphological analysis of the melt-mixed composites was performed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy using attenuated total reflection (FTIR-ATR), atomic force microscopy (AFM), x-ray diffraction (XRD), and light microscopy. The influences of the MWCNT filler on the AC impedance, complex permittivity, and AC conductivity of the PAr polymer matrix were investigated at different operating temperatures varied between 296 K and 373 K. The transition from a negative to positive real permittivity was observed at different crossover frequencies depending on the MWCNT content of the composites whereas pure PAr showed positive values at all frequencies. The negative real permittivity characteristic of the composites was discussed in the context of Drude model.
Tenosynovial giant cell tumor (TSGCT), is a slow-growing benign tumor that originates from the tendon sheath or bursae. TSGCT of the foot and ankle has been reported much less frequently compared to ...the reported cases in hand and knee. Morphologically it is classified as the localized form which often seen in the hand and the diffuse form seen in large joints. TSGCT should be considered in the differential diagnosis of soft tissue tumors of the foot and ankle. Clinical and radiological findings of intra-articular localized form of TSGCT in the ankle were presented in this study.
Tenosinoviyal dev hücreli tümör (TSDHT), tendon kılıfından veya bursasından kaynaklanan yavaş büyüyen bening bir tümördür. Ayak ve ayak bileğinin TSDHT ‘ ü, el ve dizle karşılaştırıldığında çok daha az sıklıkta bildirilmiştir. Morfolojik olarak sıklıkla elde görülen lokalize tip ve büyük eklemlerde görülen difüz tip olarak sınıflandırılır. TSDHT, ayak ve ayak bileğinin yumuşak doku tümörlerinin ayırıcı tanısında düşünülmelidir. Sunulan çalışmada, nadir lokalizasyon olan ayak bileğinde yerleşimli, intra-artiküler lokalize tip, tenosinovyal dev hücreli tümör olgusunun klinik ve radyolojik bulguları sunulmuştur.
We have fabricated organic solar cell of a new low bandgap polymer poly4,4-bis(2-ethylhexyl)-4H-cyclopenta2,1-b:3,4-b′dithiophene-2,6-diyl-alt-4,7-bis(2-thienyl)-2,1,3-benzothiadiazole-5′,5′′-diyl ...(PCPDTTBTT). We have investigated for the first time the stability tests, ISOS-L-1 and ISOS-D-3, of PCPDTTBTT solar cells. Thermal annealing of PCPDTTBTT solar cells at 80°C brought about an improvement of photocurrent generation, stability, and efficiency of the solar cells. T80 value of PCPDTTBTT solar cell is about 150 hours which is close to P3HT (235 h). PCPDTTBTT is very promising polymer for both polymer solar cell efficiency and stability.
The aim of the current study was to establish a normative data set for the morphometric parameters of the facial nevre (FN) and cochlear nevre (CN) according to age and sex in the adult population, ...using 3-dimensional constructive interference in steady state (3D-CISS) sequence on magnetic resonance imaging.
We retrospectively analyzed 157 ears of 102 adults with no hearing impairment, facial palsy or Ménière's disease. The vertical (VD) and horizontal (HD) diameters as well as cross-sectional areas (CSAs) of the FNs and CNs were measured on the parasagittal oblique image created using the axial 3D-CISS sections passing through the internal acoustic canal. We related the measurement results with side, sex and age.
The mean VD, HD and CSA of the FNs were 1.09 ± 0.18 mm, 0.84 ± 0.17 mm, and 0.75 ± 0.27 mm2, respectively, whereas those of the CNs were 1.34 ± 0.17 mm, 1 ± 0.15 mm and 1.06 ± 0.3 mm2, respectively. There was no statistically significant difference between the morphometric parameters of both the nerves according to side or sex (P > 0.05). However, except for the CSA of the FNs among males, we found a statistically significant decrease in all the morphometric parameters of both the nerves with ageing (P < 0.05).
The normative morphometric data obtained in this study can be beneficial in clinical applications for sensorineural hearing loss, facial palsy and Ménière's disease.
