El año 2021 ha significado nuevos escenarios de mercado y condiciones desafiantes para las industrias y la economía en general, en este sentido, es necesaria la implementación de modelos donde las ...instituciones de educación superior desde su labor formativa, los órganos gubernamentales representantes del estado y las organizaciones unan sus esfuerzos para orientar la economía hacia su dinamismo previo a la pandemia. Por ello, la creación de esta edición se propone con la intención de establecer pautas desde lo teórico, práctico y metodológico, que harán aportes sociales a la gestión y posterior solución de problemas organizacionales.

However, it is a practice little developed at a theoretical level, which limits its effective ...development for the effective solution of social needs and its sustainability through the impact on the social capital of the intervened communities. The objective of this article is to analyze the social needs of the beneficiaries of the program Familias en Acción in Barranquilla related to its expected impacts, as well as the social capital of the beneficiaries, identifying the most relevant aspects that require intervention in the education and health sectors in the district, in addition to social needs related to income generation and prevention of teenage pregnancy. The dimensions of social capital that should be strengthened in the respective communities are also analyzed. The quantitative methodology with a descriptive scope together with stratified sampling techniques and a non-experimental design with a sample of 467 program holders in the exercise, having as a finding that for Barranquilla there are unmet social needs in the Families in Action such as the availability of resources, access to tuition, income generation through work or entrepreneurship, job training and prevention of teenage pregnancy, therefore, it concludes that there is a clear need to strengthen the social capital of Familias en Acción members in areas such as participation and cooperation, as well as decision-making.
La innovación en el ámbito social es hoy un reto cada vez más necesario para el desarrollo humano. Sin embargo, es una práctica poco desarrollada a nivel teórico, lo que limita su desarrollo efectivo para la solución efectiva de necesidades sociales y su sostenibilidad mediante el impacto sobre el capital social de las comunidades intervenidas. Este artículo tiene por objetivo analizar las necesidades sociales de los beneficiarios del programa Familias en Acción en Barranquilla relacionadas con sus impactos esperados, así como el capital social de los beneficiarios, identificando los aspectos más relevantes que requieren intervención en los sectores educación y salud en el distrito, además de necesidades sociales relacionadas con la generación de ingresos y prevención de embarazo adolescente. Se analizan también las dimensiones de capital social que se deben fortalecer en las comunidades respectivas. La metodología cuantitativa con un alcance descriptivo junto a técnicas de muestreo estratificado y un diseño no experimental contando en el ejercicio con una muestra de 467 titulares del programa, teniendo como hallazgo que para Barranquilla existen necesidades sociales no satisfechas en las Familias en Acción como la disponibilidad de recursos, el acceso a matrículas, generación de ingresos por trabajo o emprendimiento, capacitación para el trabajo y la prevención del embarazo adolescente, por ello, se concluye con la necesidad manifiesta de fortalecer el capital social de los titulares de Familias en Acción en dimensiones como la participación y cooperación, además de la toma de decisiones.

Social cohesion plays a key role in processes of peacebuilding and sustainable development. Fostering social cohesion might present a potential to enhance the connection of natural resource ...management and peacebuilding and better functioning of sustainable land use systems. This contribution explores the nexus between social cohesion, natural resource management, and peacebuilding. We do so by (1) reviewing literature on the three concepts and (2) studying four different key action areas in the context of sustainable cocoa production for their potential to enhance social cohesion, namely (a) agroforestry; (b) cooperatives; (c) certification schemes; and (d) trade policies. Research is based on experience from cocoa production in two post-conflict countries, Côte d'Ivoire and Colombia. Our findings show that by fostering environmentally sustainable agricultural practices, these key action areas have a clear potential to foster social cohesion among cocoa producers and thus provide a valuable contribution to post-conflict peacebuilding in both countries. However, the actual effects strongly depend on a multitude of local factors which need to be carefully taken into consideration. Further, the focus in implementation of some of these approaches tends to be on increasing agricultural productivity and not directly on fostering cocoa farmers' wellbeing and societal relations, and hence a shift toward social objectives is needed in order to strengthen these approaches as a part of overall peacebuilding strategies.
Muscle and bone are tightly integrated through mechanical and biochemical signals. Osteoclasts are cells mostly related to pathological bone loss; however, they also start physiological bone ...remodeling. Therefore, osteoclast signals released during bone remodeling could improve both bone and skeletal muscle mass. Extracellular ATP is an autocrine/paracrine signaling molecule released by bone and muscle cells. Then, in the present work, it was hypothesized that ATP is a paracrine mediator released by osteoclasts and leads to skeletal muscle protein synthesis. RAW264.7-derived osteoclasts were co-cultured in Transwell® chambers with flexor digitorum brevis (FDB) muscle isolated from adult BalbC mice. The osteoclasts at the upper chamber were mechanically stimulated by controlled culture medium perturbation, resulting in a two-fold increase in protein synthesis in FDB muscle at the lower chamber. Osteoclasts released ATP to the extracellular medium in response to mechanical stimulation, proportional to the magnitude of the stimulus and partly dependent on the P2X7 receptor. On the other hand, exogenous ATP promoted Akt phosphorylation (S473) in isolated FDB muscle in a time- and concentration-dependent manner. ATP also induced phosphorylation of proteins downstream Akt: mTOR (S2448), p70S6K (T389) and 4E-BP1 (T37/46). Exogenous ATP increased the protein synthesis rate in FDB muscle 2.2-fold; this effect was blocked by Suramin (general P2X/P2Y antagonist), LY294002 (phosphatidylinositol 3 kinase inhibitor) and Rapamycin (mTOR inhibitor). These blockers, as well as apyrase (ATP metabolizing enzyme), also abolished the induction of FDB protein synthesis evoked by mechanical stimulation of osteoclasts in the co-culture model. Therefore, the present findings suggest that mechanically stimulated osteoclasts release ATP, leading to protein synthesis in isolated FDB muscle, by activating the P2-PI3K-Akt-mTOR pathway. These results open a new area for research and clinical interest in bone-to-muscle crosstalk in adaptive processes related to muscle use/disuse or in musculoskeletal pathologies.
El objetivo de este artículo fue identificar las características generales del quehacer de los profesionales del sector del movimiento y la corporalidad. En cuanto a la metodología, se elaboró bajo ...el enfoque cuantitativo, el tipo de investigación se orienta hacia lo descriptivo, el diseño fue no experimental. La población estuvo representada por 500 personas, la técnica de recolección de información fue una encuesta estructurada en dos secciones, las cuales fueron pertinentes para este estudio, el instrumento fue un cuestionario estructurado. La validez del instrumento fue realizada mediante la valoración de cinco (05) expertos en el área de estudio. Se realizó la respectiva interpretación y análisis para presentar los resultados. Se evidencia como resultado la similitud entre lo obtenido en las encuestas y lo desarrollado por los autores base consultados, encontrando una diversidad en las titulaciones y perfiles ocupacionales en el sector del movimiento y la corporalidad. Se concluye que, que es relevante el generar una caracterización permanente de los mismos con la finalidad de encontrar la interrelación entre la formación, los intereses del profesional y las necesidades del sector.
A good state of oral health allows people to communicate and eat. This topic is relevant in older people given its close relationship with their general health. At present, health challenges are ...directed at detecting and preventing oral disorders and are seen to exclusively by dentists, because the existing instruments can only be applied by them. However, speech-language therapists undergo similar training, which would allow them to collaborate in these processes. In this context, the Oral Health Assessment Tool (OHAT) is a detection instrument with good psychometric properties that is currently available for non-dental use. The objective of this study is the translation into Chilean Spanish of the OHAT and a structural validation of that version for application by these professionals.
A mixed qualitative-quantitative study was carried out. The OHAT instrument was adapted to Chilean Spanish and subsequently subject to structural validity and evaluation of internal consistency reliability, as well as a valuation of its reproducibility in 286 older people (166 female, 120 male) from different health contexts.
The cultural adaptation of the instrument proved to be semantically consistent with the original instrument. Its application was considered to be speedy and simple in the pre-test. The confirmatory factor analysis evidenced the unidimensionality of the OHAT. In addition, the instrument shows good internal consistency and test-retest reliability.
The OHAT instrument was considered to possess adequate structural validity and test-retest reliability properties. Its usefulness in the context of oral health disorders of this population in Chile is discussed.
(analítico)Se busca comprender cómo se organizan las prácticas de intervención con niños y sus familias en residencias. Se realizaron entrevistas en profundidad a ejecutores, diseñadores y ...especialistas, y se aplicó análisis de discurso. Los resultados dan cuenta de intervenciones heterogéneas e indican que el trabajo directo con los niños se organiza en un continuo, con prácticas subjetivantes habilitadoras de agencia, identidad y sostén psíquico, así como prácticas desubjetivantes que dan cuenta de procesos de objetualización y desarraigo. La intervención familiar varía según el enfoque de cada institución. Se concluye que los equipos pueden mejorar la calidad de su trabajo si se generan otras condiciones institucionales y se reconoce la capacidad de agencia de los niños y sus familias, siendo el cuidado una tarea que implica también al Estado y las comunidades.

Fibroblast growth factor 21 (FGF21) is a hormone involved in the regulation of lipid, glucose, and energy metabolism. Although it is released mainly from the liver, in recent years it has been shown ...that it is a "myokine", synthesized in skeletal muscles after exercise and stress conditions through an Akt-dependent pathway and secreted for mediating autocrine and endocrine roles. To date, the molecular mechanism for the pathophysiological regulation of FGF21 production in skeletal muscle is not totally understood. We have previously demonstrated that muscle membrane depolarization controls gene expression through extracellular ATP (eATP) signaling, by a mechanism defined as "Excitation-Transcription coupling". eATP signaling regulates the expression and secretion of interleukin 6, a well-defined myokine, and activates the Akt/mTOR signaling pathway. This work aimed to study the effect of electrical stimulation in the regulation of both production and secretion of skeletal muscle FGF21, through eATP signaling and PI3K/Akt pathway. Our results show that electrical stimulation increases both mRNA and protein (intracellular and secreted) levels of FGF21, dependent on an extracellular ATP signaling mechanism in skeletal muscle. Using pharmacological inhibitors, we demonstrated that FGF21 production and secretion from muscle requires the activation of the P2YR/PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling pathway. These results confirm skeletal muscle as a source of FGF21 in physiological conditions and unveil a new molecular mechanism for regulating FGF21 production in this tissue. Our results will allow to identify new molecular targets to understand the regulation of FGF21 both in physiological and pathological conditions, such as exercise, aging, insulin resistance, and Duchenne muscular dystrophy, all characterized by an alteration in both FGF21 levels and ATP signaling components. These data reinforce that eATP signaling is a relevant mechanism for myokine expression in skeletal muscle.
