We investigate the tachyon-dilaton-metric system to study the "graceful exit" problem in string theoretic inflation, where tachyon plays the role of the scalar field. From the phase space analysis, ...we find that the inflationary phase does not smoothly connect to a Friedmann-Robertson-Walker (FRW) expanding universe, thereby providing a simple tachyonic extension of the recently proved stringy no-go theorem.
The phase transition between the nuclear matter and the quark matter is examined. The relativistic mean field theory(RMF) is consider with interacting nucleons and mesons using TM1 parameter set for ...the nuclear matter equations of state. It is found that the trasition point depends on coupling constant \(\alpha_s\) and bag pressure. From the study of the structure of a hybrid neutron star, it is observed that the star contains quark matter in the interior and neutron matter on the outer perifery.
Based on the Relativistic Mean Field (RMF) approach the existence of the
broken pseudo-spin symmetry is investigated. Both spherical RMF and constrained
deformed RMF calculations are carried out ...employing realistic Lagrangian
parameters for spherical and for deformed sample nuclei. The quasi - degenerate
pseudo-spin doublets are confirmed to exist near the fermi surface for both
spherical and deformed nuclei.

Jojoba oil and its derivatives have diversified uses. One of the major threats to Jojoba cultivation is the onslaught of seed mycoflora. since no information is available on seed mycoflora of Jojoba, ...an attempt was made to find out seed-borne fungi and their control. A total of five fungal species were isolated from Jojoba seeds. Among these, Aspergillus flavus, A. nigerand Fusarium pallidoroseum were found pathogenic which resulted significant reduction in seed germination. root and shoot length of seedlings. These fungi also caused pre- and post-emergence mortality of seedlings. among five seed dressing fungicides tested, bavistin, vitavax and thiram were found effective against these mycoflora resulting in increased germination and seedling vigour.
