Responding to the moral problems that are rife in Indonesia, the concept of character education is a solution in dealing with these problems. This is related to the increase in juvenile delinquency ...among Muslims who are increasingly living their lives away from the application of Islamic values. Related to it, Nusantara Beriman Islamic Boarding School is one of the Islamic boarding school educational institutions that focuses on educate the morals of his students by trying to optimize spiritual-based character education that is instilled through activities at Islamic boarding schools. In this research, the author will examine the concept of character education which focuses on spiritual activities at Nusantara Islamic Boarding School Poleang. The method used by researchers is a descriptive qualitative method by making the Nusantara Beriman Islamic Boarding School as the object of research. The results of this research are, the life student dynamics at Nusantara Beriman Islamic Boarding School which emphasizes to educate student character through spiritual activities like reciting the Qur'an on the sidelines of formal education, qiyamu al-layl activities every night and traveling preaching or safari da’wah, aiming to educate the students character who have noble morals by making worship (ubudiyah) as the basic for building character. With this concept, students will also get used to pay attention to ubudiyah aspects in the process of studying and not putting it aside, so that a human character is formed that is not only intelligent in science but will continue to prioritize morals in socializing).
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the contribution of religious attitudes to harmony, and the contribution of Javanese culture to harmony in the context of a multireligious society in ...Ngandong, Girikerto. As well as finding the most influential social capital in building harmony for a multireligious community in Ngandong Hamlet, Girikerto. Methods: This research is qualitative, presenting field data descriptively. Data collection was used in this study through in-depth interviews, observations, and literature studies. The data analysis carried out, first carried out at the time of recording field data, and the second was carried out after data collection was completed. Then conclude from the results of the data analysis. The data analysis process used follows the model developed by Creswell. Results and Conclusion: Based on the results of research conducted in Ngandong Hamlet, Girikerto the Javanese cultural heritage is firmly held by its citizens as the strongest social capital. This is evidenced by the involvement of citizens from various religious backgrounds to succeed in every cultural event in Girikerto. Cultural activities become a unifier of people of different religions. As a result, the Ngandong people can continue to preserve Javanese cultural values that prioritize harmony: harmony, togetherness, and oneness. Research implications: The impact of this research has proven that there is harmony in Ngandong, which can be seen directly in the form of social activities, starting from daily activities. Harmony in Ngandong emerged as a combination of religious expression with cultural expression (Javanese tradition) which has become Javanese cultural heritage and can be firmly held by its citizens as a strong social capital of harmony. Originality/value: The originality of this research lies in the concept of religion, culture, and harmony in Ngandong Girikerto Village, Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
RESUMO Objectivo: El propósito de este estudio es analizar la contribución de las actitudes religiosas a la armonía, y la contribución de la cultura javanesa a la armonía en el contexto de una sociedad multirreligiosa en la aldea de Ngandong, Girikerto. Además de encontrar el capital social más influyente en la construcción de la armonía de una comunidad multirreligiosa en la aldea de Ngandong, Girikerto. Métodos: Esta investigación es cualitativa, presentando los datos de campo de manera descriptiva. La recolección de datos se utilizó en este estudio a través de entrevistas en profundidad, observaciones y estudios bibliográficos. El análisis de los datos realizados, primero se realizó en el momento del registro de los datos de campo, y el segundo se llevó a cabo después de que se completó la recolección de datos. A continuación, saque conclusiones de los resultados del análisis de datos. El proceso de análisis de datos utilizado sigue el modelo desarrollado por Creswell. Resultados e Conclusão: Sobre la base de los resultados de la investigación realizada en la aldea de Ngandong, Girikerto afirma que el patrimonio cultural javanés es firmemente sostenido por sus ciudadanos como el capital social más fuerte. Prueba de ello es la implicación de ciudadanos de diferentes orígenes religiosos para dar lugar a cada evento cultural de Girikerto. De hecho, las actividades culturales se convierten en un unificador de personas de diferentes religiones. Como resultado, el pueblo de Ngandong puede continuar preservando los valores culturales javaneses que priorizan la armonía: armonía, unión y unidad. Implicações da investigação: O impacto deste estudo comprova que há harmonia em Ngandong, que pode ser vista diretamente na forma de atividades sociais, a partir de atividades diárias. A harmonia em Ngandong surgiu como uma combinação de expressão religiosa com expressão cultural (tradição javanesa) que se tornou herança cultural javanesa e pode ser firmemente mantida por seus cidadãos como um forte capital social de harmonia. Originalidade/valor: A originalidade desta pesquisa está nos conceitos de religião, cultura e harmonia na aldeia de Ngandong Girikerto, Yogyakarta, Indonésia.
The problem of performance management in Islamic educational institutions is still often carried out for only periodic formal assessments for promotion/position. The fantastic number of Muhammadiyah ...educational institutions, in fact, does not necessarily show their competitive advantage as a whole. Muhammadiyah schools in the outskirts of Wonogiri district (rural areas) are often judged for their management from the road, labeled as discarded schools, unable to compete with public schools, and being underestimated by the community. Muhammadiyah educational institutions are expected to be able to get out of this situation by building a competitive advantage that can be achieved through proper performance management, in line with opportunities and the surrounding environment. Research at SD Muhammadiyah (PK) Pracimantoro and SD Muhammadiyah Inovatif Baturetno, aims to obtain a description based on field facts about planning, implementing, and evaluating performance management in achieving competitive advantage. This field research uses a qualitative approach by emphasizing the analysis of descriptive data in the form of written and spoken words and pictures. The data in this study were collected through interviews and documentation methods. Data analysis was carried out using the inductive method through several steps, namely: data collection accompanied by data reduction, presenting data in the form of narratives and descriptions, then drawing conclusions. The results of this study are performance management in achieving competitive advantage at SD Muhammadiyah PK Pracimantoro and SD Muhammadiyah Innovative Baturetno, carried out in three stages. First, planning includes: goal setting, recruitment of teachers and education personnel, performance agreements. Second, implementation. At the implementation stage of performance management contains several activities, namely: coaching discipline, motivation, competency development, and awards. Third, performance evaluationtaken by two approaches, namely formal and informal. This process is carried out in order to realize school excellence that focuses on educational aspects, including: (1) Location; (2) Value excellence, which includes: curriculum, educational services, teaching staff, infrastructure, educational programs, and graduate achievements.
Problem manajemen kinerja pada lembaga pendidikan Islam masih kerap sekedar untuk penilaian formal berkala demi kenaikan pangkat/jabatan. Lembaga pendidikan Muhammadiyah yang berjumlah fantastis, ...ternyata tidak serta merta secara keseluruhan memperlihatkan competitive advantage-nya (keunggulan bersaing). Sekolah-sekolah Muhammadiyah di wilayah pedesaan Wonogiri kerap dinilai tata kelolanya asal jalan, dilabel sekolah buangan, kalah bersaing dengan sekolah negeri, dan dipandang sebelah mata oleh masyarakat. Lembaga pendidikan Muhammadiyah diharapkan keluar dari situasi tersebut dengan keunggulan bersaing melalui manajemen kinerja Penelitian lapangan ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan menekankan analisis data berupa kata-kata tertulis maupun lisan dan gambar. Data dikumpulkan melalui metode wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan metode induktif melalui beberapa langkah, yaitu: pengumpulan data dibarengi dengan reduksi data, menyajikan data dalam bentuk narasi dan deskripsi, lalu menarik kesimpulan. Kajian ini menemukan bahwa manajemen kinerja dalam mencapai competitive advantage pada SD Muhammadiyah PK Pracimantoro dan SD Muhammadiyah Inovatif Baturetno, dilakukan dengan tiga tahapan. Pertama, perencanaan meliputi: penentuan tujuan, rekrutmen guru dan tenaga kependidikan, perjanjian kinerja. Kedua, pelaksanaan. Pada tahap pelaksanaan manajemen kinerja mengandung beberapa aktivitas, yaitu: pembinaan disiplin, motivasi, pengembangan kompetensi, dan penghargaan. Ketiga, evaluasi kinerja ditempuh dengan dua pendekatan, yaitu formal dan informal. Proses tersebut dilakukan untuk mewujudkan keunggulan sekolah pada aspek-aspek pendidikan antara lain: (1) Lokasi; (2) Keunggulan nilai, yang meliputi: kurikulum, layanan pendidikan, tenaga pendidik, sarana-prasarana, program pendidikan, dan prestasi lulusan.
This research is motivated by a moral shift among the younger generation, especially students at school, especially in relationships. Many students have bad morals such as like to badmouth their ...friends, like to prank friends and behave impolitely towards teachers and parents. This study aims to describe the etiquette of association and friendship according to al-Ghazālī's Bidāyatul Hidāyah book and identify the relevance of social and friendship etiquette according to al-Ghazālī's Bidāyatul Hidāyah book on the formation of student character. This type of research is a type of library research with qualitative research and data analysis using content analysis with a descriptive approach. The results of this study conclude that the concepts of etiquette of al-Ghazālī's perspective and its relevance to character building is: 1). Etiquette to students, setting a good example to students; 2). Etiquette to the teacher, respect him by greeting first when you meet him; 3) Etiquette to Parents, Doing good and respecting them, without having to be asked by them first; 4). Etiquette to others, Always close and don't spread the disgrace of your friends.
Purpose of the study: The study aims to explore the development of Islamic boarding school culture as the basis of actualization democracy education in Pesantren. Methodology: The study uses a ...qualitative approach with interviews and observations and documentation as a key research tool for data collection. As for the participation in this research is Islamic Modern Boarding School Assalaam Surakarta (PPMI Assalaam). Main Findings: This study found three main themes to actualize democracy education through the development of the culture of Pesantren, namely 1) establishing the identity of Pesantren 2) created a vision and mission of Pesantren 3) integrating essential and instrumental values of pesantren with democratic values that are compatible with Islam. Applications: This study can be useful to increase knowledge treasures and to be a prototype for the actualization of democracy education in educational institutions, especially in pesantren through the development of the democratic pesantren culture. Novelty: This study created the basis and prototype of the actualization of democracy education in the school environment and especially the pesantren, through the building of the identity of Pesantren, creating the vision and mission of Pesantren and the integration of essential values and instrumental of pesantren with the values of democracy that is compatible with Islam. Carrying out the orders of the vision, mission, and objectives of Indonesian national education shown to eliminate education discrimination, and to make students able to live in the society and system of democracy, so important step of the development of school culture as the basis of it all.

This research shows the implementation of differentiated learning methods at SMPN 23 Surakarta in Islamic religious education subjects: 1) Mapping learning needs based on learning readiness, interests, and learning profiles. 2) Make a differentiated learning plan using four aspects (content, process, product, and environment). 3) Carry out differentiated learning by the learning implementation plan that has been made. 4) Reflect and evaluate after the learning process. The emergence and development of these problems stem from a secular worldview, where God and religion are not central and influential in life activities. This has resulted in the deconsecration of values, which in the end everything that is done in life is only materialistic. Even in the education sector, it is more directed to produce pragmatic education so the education mostly only prioritizes job skills without paying attention to the morality of educational output. Therefore, many people have the skills to work, but in terms of morals, etiquette, and spirituality, they are left behind. This differs diametrically from the Islamic worldview which makes God the primary goal of life. Thus, Islam does not experience problems regarding the relationship of religion and life. Islam views on education is not only to fulfill worldly needs but also more than that, education is something that people needs to make themselves the best human being (Insan Kamil). Education in Islam also serves to get closer to Allah SWT, with the increase of knowledge that people gain through education, the quality of their worship of Allah SWT will also increase. Therefore, the worldview of values in education will determine how the process and the output of education itself. Assuming that the worldview has been embedded in educators and students. Then, the value of education will be the value of quality, because the educational process carried out of aims to produce quality outputs and outcomes. This is the reason why S.M.N al-Attas uses the concept of Ta’dib orders to instill the values that need to be built in Islamic education. Hence, this article is expected to provide the following implications: First, the shift in the worldview of educators and students; Second, provide orientation to the process of Islamic education; Third, encourage improvements and refinements to the process of Islamic education.
