Full-body motion capture typically requires sensors/markers to be placed on each rigid body segment, which results in long setup times and is obtrusive. The number of sensors/markers can be reduced ...using deep learning or offline methods. However, this requires large training datasets and/or sufficient computational resources. Therefore, we investigate the following research question: "What is the performance of a shallow approach, compared to a deep learning one, for estimating time coherent full-body poses using only five inertial sensors?". We propose to incorporate past/future inertial sensor information into a stacked input vector, which is fed to a shallow neural network for estimating full-body poses. Shallow and deep learning approaches are compared using the same input vector configurations. Additionally, the inclusion of acceleration input is evaluated. The results show that a shallow learning approach can estimate full-body poses with a similar accuracy (~6 cm) to that of a deep learning approach (~7 cm). However, the jerk errors are smaller using the deep learning approach, which can be the effect of explicit recurrent modelling. Furthermore, it is shown that the delay using a shallow learning approach (72 ms) is smaller than that of a deep learning approach (117 ms).
Zusammenfassung
In der Diagnostik asbestbedingter Erkrankungen wird immer
häufiger die Computertomografie in Hochauflösungstechnik (HRCT)
eingesetzt. Für eine exakte Diagnosestellung bedarf es ...genauer Kriterien,
wann ein Kausalzusammenhang zwischen bildmorphologischem Befund und
früherer Asbestexposition angenommen werden kann. Dies ist sowohl für
arbeitsmedizinische Vorsorgeuntersuchungen als auch für die gutachterliche
Kausalzusammenhangsbeurteilung von Bedeutung. Die vorliegende Arbeit gibt
Beispiele für asbestbedingte parenchymale und pleurale Veränderungen
und diskutiert die Spezifität dieser Befunde.
Zusammenfassung
Asbestfaserstaubbedingte Erkrankungen haben nach wie vor eine
große Bedeutung im Berufskrankheitengeschehen. Der Nachweis gutartiger
Asbestfaserinhalationsfolgen kann Voraussetzung ...für die Anerkennung einer
asbestfaserstaubbedingten Lungenkrebserkrankung sein. Durch den vermehrten
Einsatz der Computertomografie werden Asbestfaserinhalationsfolgen
häufiger auch in sehr frühen Stadien entdeckt, sodass sich die Frage
einer Anzeigepflicht stellt. Die vorliegende Arbeit stellt die Empfehlungen
für anzeigepflichtige Veränderungen anhand konventioneller
Röntgenaufnahmen und neue Kriterien für anzeigepflichtige
Veränderungen anhand computertomografischer Aufnahmen unter
Berücksichtigung der Internationalen CT-Klassifikation (ICOERD) dar.
Zusammenfassung
Die Beurteilung der Pneumokoniose im Rahmen von Vorsorge und
Begutachtung nach den Kriterien der ILO und unter Verwendung der von der ILO
publizierten Vergleichsfilme hat in ...Deutschland eine lange Tradition. Die weite
Verbreitung der digitalen Radiografie stellt die arbeitsmedizinische und
pneumologische Praxis zunehmend vor Probleme, da weder die technischen
Anforderungen hinreichend bekannt sind noch die erforderliche Ausstattung in
der Praxis zur Verfügung stehen. Die vorliegende Arbeit gibt den aktuellen
Stand zum Vorgehen bei der Erstellung, Befundung und Dokumentation digital
gefertigter Röntgenaufnahmen im Rahmen der Untersuchung von Lunge und
Pleura wieder.
The increasing use of high-resolution computed tomography in formerly asbestos-exposed workers requires valid diagnostic criteria for the findings which have to be reported as suspicious for being ...asbestos-related in surveillance programmes and for the assessment of causal relationships between former asbestos exposure and findings in computed tomography. The present article gives examples for asbestos-related findings in HR-CT and discusses the specificity of parenchymal and pleural changes due to asbestos fibres.
Asbestos-related diseases still play an important role in occupational medicine. The detection of benign asbestos-related diseases is one condition for the compensation of asbestos-related lung ...cancer in Germany. Due to the increasing use of computed tomography, asbestos-related diseases are more frequently detected in the early stages. The present article proposes recommendations for the findings which have to be reported as suspicious for being asbestos-related based on a) chest X-rays and b) computed tomography using the International Classification System for Occupational and Environmental Respiratory Diseases (ICOERD).
The classification of pneumoconiosis according to ILO standard - comparing a X-ray of the lung with ILO radiographs - is well established in Germany. The extension of digital imaging is a challenging ...task in occupational medicine as well as in pneumology. Technical requirements are not known sufficiently and the necessary equipment is not well distributed. This paper describes the current position on recording, assessment and documentation of digital imaging of the lung and pleura.
