This aims to design a syllabus for "Vocabulary English for Nursing" book for occupational purposes with a specific focus on enhancing vocabulary acquisition, speaking proficiency, and pronunciation ...skills. This study utilizes ADDIE primarily focusing on the Analysis and Design stages. The syllabus results in ten units, each unit was designed to foster dialogue practices, simple expressions, and vocabulary enrichment. The learning competencies integrated into this syllabus align with the Independent User B1 of CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment. The outcome of this study includes a designed syllabus for "Vocabulary English for Nursing" book and the organization of the book. Future research will cover the further stages.
Cooperative foreign language learning can be achieved by creating a video in a group. The purpose of this study is to discover university students’ perception of the implementation of creating ...collaborative video projects in English online learning during the pandemic situation. This study seeks to answer two research problems: first, the challenges that students face in the process of video creation; second, the benefits that they obtain from the video project. The data was contributed by 83 English Department students in a private university in Indonesia. For their final project, the participants were asked to create a group video related to the topics of learning materials. Two types of data collection were used in the study namely the open-ended questionnaire and the videos as the final products. Thematic analysis was used to analyze the qualitative data. The findings show that students have faced several challenges in creating videos, especially technical preparation and time management; however, they have also benefited from the video project as they were immersed in autonomous learning. This study demonstrates that a video project is needed as it helps to foster students’ creativity, teamwork, and English language development.
Human Resources is one of the most important elements that the company continues to run. Although this is not directly related to the company's finances or income, it can indirectly affect the ...company's performance. The competitive advantage of the company to survive and compete with other companies is of course very dependent on human resources who have good capacity and quality, based on this, the object and purpose of this study is the Influence of Incentives and Work Environment on Employee Loyalty "Tubagus Car Spa" West Java, the results of his research, Obtained for the variable Intensive value t count 8,871 greater than t table which is 5,781 significant. The confidence variable has a positive regression coefficient of 0.222. the value of t count = 7.780 is greater than the t-table which is 5.594, a significance. The confidence variable has a positive regression coefficient of 0.170.
Abstract
The preparedness of disaster is important to be socialized as Indonesia is one the most disaster-prone are. One way to improve this preparedness is through education. The purpose of this ...study is to analyse the school curriculum relating to the disaster preparedness and to find out the way disaster material delivered by the teacher. The method used was descriptive qualitative. The data gained through documentation, literature review, and interview. The result shows that disaster material was not optimally discussed in the school curriculum. The teachers’ understanding of the material were also considered as low. They also did not use various learning media to give the understanding to the student of the importance of disaster preparedness.
Abstract
Food security has always been a crucial issue throughout the ages. Therefore, food security is a target that must be completed by 2030 in the sustainable development program launched by the ...United Nations. Kampung Cireundeu people have a habit on consuming cassava as a staple food, and it received an award for an independent food village in 2007. The purpose of the study is to determine the geographical factors that influence the people of Kampung Cireundeu to use cassava as food. The data collection method used were interviews, literature study, and documentation. The data analysed and described qualitatively. The results showed that this area had experienced drought almost every year. It also had undulating topography. This condition was not suitable for planting rice, except cassava. This finally prompted the people in Kampung Cireudeu to eat cassava rice, known as
rasi
. They also had several principles as their belief in consuming
rasi
. One of them was “Teu Nyawah Asal Boga Pare, Teu Boga Pare Asal Boga Beas, Teu Boga Beas Asal Bisa Nyangu, Teu Nyangu Asal Dahar, Teu Dahar Asal Kuat” (Don’t cultivate rice fields as long as you have paddy. It is ok to not have paddy, as long as you have rice. It is ok to not have rice, as long as you can cook. Do not cook as long as you can eat. Then, do not eat as long as you are strong). Unfortunately, their tradition in consuming cassava began to weaken. It was because the increase of accessibility and higher mobility of the younger generation.
This study aims to determine the effectiveness of electronic PAT flipchart to the Nurse’s knowledge. The research is Quasi Experiment without control group. The sample was the nurses in the emergency ...room and the pediatric inpatient room who met inclusion and exclusion criteria. We collected sample using total sampling technique and collected 46 samples. Our study showed that knowledge score before the intervention was 16.37 and most of them had good knowledge, namely 38 (82.6) while after the intervention was 19.22 and most of them had good knowledge, namely 45 (97.8). We proved significant difference in knowledge scores before and after giving the PAT electronic flipchart (Pvalue=0.000).
Pregnant people have traveled across state and national borders for the purpose of abortion since at least the 1960s. Scholarship has robustly documented the financial and logistical costs associated ...with travel, but less work has examined the emotional costs of abortion travel. We investigate whether abortion travel has emotional costs and, if so, how they come about.
We conducted in-depth interviews with 30 women who had to travel across state borders in the United States for abortion care because of their gestation. We analyzed findings thematically.
Interviewees described having to travel to obtain abortion care as emotionally burdensome, causing distress, stress, anxiety, and shame. Because they had to travel, they were compelled to disclose their abortion to others and obtain care in an unfamiliar place and away from usual networks of support, which engendered emotional costs. Additionally, travel induced feelings of shame and exclusion because it stemmed from a law-based denial of in-state abortion care, which some experienced as marking them as deviant or abnormal.
People who have to travel for abortion care experience emotional costs alongside financial and logistical costs. The circumstances of that travel—specifically, being forced to travel because of legal restriction and service unavailability—are foundational to the ensuing emotional burdens. Findings add to the emerging literature on how laws and other structures produce the stigmatization of abortion at interpersonal and individual levels.
With abortion bans following the overturning of the right to abortion and existing gestational limits in the US, more people will have to travel for abortion care. Attention to the emotional costs of abortion travel can help providers understand what their patients may be experiencing when they present for care.

Physics learning is a science learning branch that explores and explains natural phenomena. Nevertheless, students still consider physics learning difficult because it has several abstract concepts ...and mathematics. Also, physics learning is rarely conducted in terms of higher-order thinking processes. This study aims to investigate students’ engineering thinking skills using STEM PjBL on the “Otok-Otok” boat game. This type of research is qualitative research with a single case study method. Data were gathered through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed using a content analysis method. The results showed that the students’ engineering thinking skills were excellent. STEM-PJBL directs students in structuring the engineering thinking skills. Students can solve problems in a structured way, from identifying issues to analyzing alternative solutions to problems. This study is expected as essential information to implement STEM-PJBL for teachers in their physics learning.
