Development of independent electric power supply systems based on micro hydropower plants that use the energy of small waterways involves meeting a variety of controversial requirements. The solution ...shall be quite simple and inexpensive. One of the promising concepts that satisfy the proposed requirements features is a gearless micro hydropower plant, where its axial hydroturbine blade wheel is utilized in conjuntion with an electric arc-type inductor generator.
Active elements are especially interesting for practical application. Active elements creation is unreal without research of nonlinear media properties. For nonlinear media exploration a mathematical ...model is needed. Nano scale physics and electrodynamics is extremely different from even micro scale ones therefore models for bigger wavelength wouldn't be good enough. There are some models for nano scale nonlinear media, for example one could find them in the papers of Mayer for connected nonlinear systems and Maksymov for nonlinear interaction in photon crystal with Kerr nonlinearity. Main disadvantage of their models is low operation speed and that thing, that special materials are needed even for little functionality. This work demonstrates peculiarities of our model for nonlinear media which allows to overcome some drawback of antecedent's works.
Research of multiferroid materials was conducted for the purpose of their possible use in industrial production for radio-electronic information devices 1. It is shown that ordered structures based ...on silica microspheres with embedded magnetic nanoparticles represent one of the most interesting options for implementing multiferroid materials in the form of a 3D lattice of nanoclusters of crystalline multiferroics (iron, manganese and cobalt titanates of the FeTi205, FeTiO3 type), the results of which are presented in the materials of the article 2. The possibility of the existence of a negative real part of the magnetic permeability of such materials under magnetic resonance conditions is not in doubt. Experiments conducted by a group of authors have shown that external fields can significantly change the characteristics of this class of nanomaterials 3-5 and allow them to be used in promising REA developments. Synthesis of multiferroic and multiferroic materials based on previously developed technologies to produce high-quality lattice packings of nanospheres of silica structure of opal SiT2 6, and study of electromagnetic, dielectric, optical, magnetic and other properties of such materials is of great importance due to the prospects of their application, for example, allowed to find out the conditions under which this class of multiferroic media can be used in the creation of an effective electronic information devices that control electromagnetic fields.
AlGaAs/GaAs laser heterostructures with various active-region geometries, namely, with broadened asymmetric and narrow symmetric waveguides, and with various depths of quantum wells, are obtained by ...MOC hydride epitaxy. Single laser elements, bars, and arrays of laser diodes are fabricated from these samples, and their output characteristics are investigated. It is shown that the geometry of the narrow-waveguide structure is more preferable for laser-diode bars (λ = 808 nm). Increasing the charge-carrier barrier also favorably affects the output parameters of the bars in the case of heterostructures with a narrow symmetric waveguide, and the slope of the power-current (
P-I
) characteristics for these structures increases from 0.9 W/A to 1.05 W/A. The laser diode array of 5 × 5 mm, which is assembled based on the best heterostructure, shows an output power above 1500 W in the quasi-continuous mode at a pump current of 150 A.
