In this essay we dealt with regulation of material conditions for establishing adoption, divided into three groups: those that refer to the adoptee, those that refer to adopters and those mutually ...obligatory. We applied comparative analysis, thus making the adoption rules of European countries included, aside from our own. We analyzed the solutions proposed in the Pre-draft of the Serbian Civil Code, from the perspective of numerous benefits that are gained by adoption. We concluded that the domestic regulations that define material conditions for establishing adoption mostly consist of satisfying the needs of modern society, but that certain improvements in the sphere of conditions regarding the adopter are necessary.
In this study, the petals collected from peony hybrid Paeonia lactiflora "Bowl of Beauty" and Calendula officinalis L. were extracted using an ethanol-water mixture assisted with microwave and ...ultrasonic treatment. The isolation of Calendula officinalis L. essential oil was done by hydrodistillation as well. The total phenolic and flavonoids content in the extracts and oil were determined and their antioxidant activity was evaluated. The highest total phenolic content was found for the extracts of hybrid P. lactiflora and C. officinalis L. obtained by ultrasound extraction (83.16 and 114.47 mg GA/g, respectively), while the flavonoid content obtained by microwave-assisted extraction was relatively high (123.48 and 65.29 mg QE/g, respectively). The highest antioxidant activity was obtained in DPPH• and ABTS•+ assay for the microwave-assisted extraction of hybrid P. lactiflora (79% and 83%) and ultrasound-assisted extraction of C. officinalis L. (45% and 49%), respectively. To improve antioxidant activity of both types of examined analytes (extracts and essential oil), the pectin biopolymer film (as a carrier) was prepared in the process of enzymatically assisted catalysis. Optical microscopy and FTIR spectroscopy were used for the characterization of obtained materials. The films, with essential oil of C. officinalis L. and gallic acid, showed significantly increased percentage inhibition in DPPH• and ABTS•+ test (91% and 95%, respectively) after 10 minutes. The results, also, showed that all formulations of pectin biopolymer film, modified with gallic acid, can be successfully applied as a carrier for both types of ingredients.

The paper shows the possibilities of increasing the hydrophobicity of the paper surface by applying layers of hydrophobic material to the surface. Various application techniques and the following ...substances were tested: stearic acid, shellac and zinc-hydroxide. Hydrophobicity was tested using the modified Cobb method, measuring the contact angle and drop retention time. The presence of hydrophobizing agents was confirmed by FTIR spectroscopy. It was found that the methods of applying the hydrophobizing agent, used in this work, give much better results with stearic acid, compared to shellac. This manuscript presents novel possibilities of increasing paper surface hydrophobicity by applying layers of hydrophobic material to the surface. Various layer application techniques were examined, as well as substances including: stearic acid, shellac and zinc-hydroxide. Hydrophobicity was tested using the modified Cobb method, measuring the contact angle and drop retention time. The presence of hydrophobizing agents was confirmed by FTIR spectroscopy. Based on the results achieved, it can be concluded that the methods of applying the hydrophobizing agent, used in this work, give much better results with stearic acid, compared to shellac.
The subject of this research is the production process of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) regranulate using a plasticizer synthesized from recycled poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET). In this way, a ...plasticizer was synthesized that does not pose a risk to human health and the environment in accordance with the principles of chemical leasing and green chemistry. The obtained plasticizer was characterized using elemental analysis, FTIR, and NMR spectroscopy and determination of hydroxyl and acid number. The mechanical properties of materials obtained on the basis of recycled PVC and plasticizers from PET were tested according to standard methods.
Over 150 mutations in the SOD1 gene that encodes Cu/Zn superoxide dismutase (SOD1) cause 20-25% of familial ALS, albeit without a known gain-of-function mechanism. ALS is also non-cell-autonomous, ...the interactions between motor neurons and their glial neighbours being implicated in disease progression. The aim here was to investigate the biophysical effects of the exogenous human mutant SOD1-G93A on rat astrocytes in culture. Primary cortical astrocyte cultures were treated with recombinant human apo- mSOD1-G93A vs. wild-type control (wtSOD1) and recorded by patch-clamp and calcium imaging. Results showed that exogenous mSOD1 as well as wtSOD1 induced a decrease of membrane resistance, the effect being persistent (up to 13 min) only for the mutant form. Similarly, whole-cell inward currents in astrocytes were augmented by both wt and mSOD1, but the effect was twice larger and only progressed continuously for the latter. Both forms of SOD1 also induced a rise in intracellular Ca

activity, the effect being dependent on external Ca

and again only persisted with mSOD1, becoming significantly different from wtSOD1 only at longer times (14 min). In conclusion, this study points to membrane permeability and Ca
2+
signalling as processes affected by SOD1-G93A that presents the humoral factor triggering the role of astrocytes in ALS pathophysiology.
The subject of this study is the synthesis of glycolysates from recycled poly (ethylene terephthalate) (PET) by depolymerization using diethylene glycol (DEG) in the presence of catalyst FASCAT 4100. ...The resulting glycolysate was then treated with maleic anhydride and finally with 2-octanol to obtain a 2-EtHex/MA/DEG/PET/EG/MA/2-EtHex plasticizer. The characterization of the obtained plasticizer was performed by infrared spectroscopy with Fourier transform (FTIR) and NMR spectroscopy. The obtained plasticizers were mixed into bitumen with 10 wt. % and tests of mechanical properties of obtained products were performed.
This paper investigates the using potential of acryl-functionalized kraft lignin (AKL) in reducing the flammability of polymer composites based on recycled unsaturated polyester resins (UPR). Acryl ...functionalization of kraft lignin was performed by direct esterification of free polyphenolic groups with acryloyl chloride, after what, the AKL was blended in UPR resin synthesized from the polyols obtained by catalytic depolymerization of waste poly(ethylene terephthalate). The AKL was homogenized in UPR resin in different weight ratios: 2.5, 5.0, 7.5, and 12.5 wt.%. Structural and dynamic-mechanical characteristics of acryl-functionalized kraft lignin and composites were determined using FTIR spectroscopy, dynamicmechanical analysis (DMA), and tensile tests. The influence of functionalization and mass fraction of AKL on tensile and thermal properties of UPR resin was studied. The thermal properties of the composite were tested according to the standard UL-94 method, based on which the highest category of heat-resistant materials is a composite with 12.5 wt.% acylfunctionalized lignin.
This paper deals with positive domestic and comparative international laws on establishing and contesting the marital presumption of paternity. It is evident that these rules derive from the ...provisions that regulate marriage. What makes them complex and diverse is that in certain legal systems the moments from which the presumption of paternity of the mother’s spouse begins and ends are determined differently in relation to the moment of conclusion of marriage and the cause of termination of marriage. The aim of this paper is to point out different possibilities when stipulating the rules on establishing and contesting marital presumption of paternity and how each of these possibilities reflects on the modern concept of parenting and the child’s right to know his or her origin. It is from this point of view that the relevant norms of domestic family legislation have been valued.
