The title compound, C(12)H(10)BrN(3), is essentially planar (r.m.s. deviation of all non-H atoms = 0.0174 Å), with a dihedral angle of 0.5 (2)° between the two aromatic rings. In the crystal, ...mol-ecules are linked by weak N-H⋯N inter-actions, forming a zigzag chain running parallel to 001.
The current paper discusses the organizational transformation needed in the U of Zulia & the leadership role that high corporative management plays in Venezuela's national universities, particularly ...in processes of change. It also analyzes different tendencies of organizational leadership, contending that an important role is to serve as an agent of change. 1 Appendix, 48 References. Adapted from the source document.
The aim of this work was to study the influence of pore KCNH2 mutation on the effects of dofetilide. Markovian models of G604S/WT mutation and dofetilide have been introduced in guinea pig ...ventricular cellular model. The effects of this pore mutation affecting this channel were analyzed. The G604S/WT mutation accelerates the inactivation and recovery from inactivation. Using this mutated cellular model we have studied the effects of dofetilide concentrations (I Kr blocker). The results showed that the reduction of G Kr is the main factor in the APD prolongation in the case of G604S/WT mutation. The shift of the inactivation curve and the recovery from inactivation to the left accelerates the transition between the open and inactivated states. The action of dofetilide prolongs the APD in the G604S/WT epicardial and endocardial cells and even provokes EADs development in endocardial cells. In addition, exposure of G604S/WT to this drug amplifies the amplitude of the EADs generated in midmyocardial cells by the mutation alone. In conclusion, the heterozygous G604S hERG mutation increases the proarrhythmic risk of dofetilide prolonging the APD and enhancing the dispersion of repolarization.

Almost everyone on the planet has suffered dental caries. It is why dental caries are considered a public health problem. The anticariogenic efficacy of dental sealants for pits and fissures is ...related to their retention. Air abrasion and acid etching are two current techniques for applying pit and fissure sealants. Our objective was to compare the efficiency of retention a pit and fissure sealant in primary dental organs pre-conditioned with acid etching and air abrasion.
A descriptive, comparative study was conducted in 40 primary dental organs randomly divided into two groups for conditioning the enamel with one or the other technique. Sealants and double-standard mesh for brackets with double ligatures were applied to test shear bond strength with an Inströn testing machine. Student's t-test was used to compare the shear-peel bond strength exerted by the two techniques.
The average traction tolerated in the group treated with air abrasion was 2.62 kgf, and in the group treated with acid etching was 3.55 kgf, with statistically significant differences (p=0.007).
Acid etching demonstrated greater efficiency than air abrasion for retention of dental sealant for small pits and fissures in primary teeth.
