The goal of this paper was to assess the throwing speed of the ball without jumping, and three steep jumps by playing position (backcourt, wing, pivot, and goalkeeper) In this research, we measured ...93 players from Kosovo’s elite league (22±4.70 years old; training experience 8.30±4.29 years; body height 183±7.83 cm; weight 84±13.74 kg); measurements were made with a radar speed gun. The results obtained were analysed through descriptive statistics for morphologic parameters, but throwing speed was analysed using ANOVA and the Kruskall-Wallis post hoc test. The overall average throwing speed without jumping was 85.67±8.13 km/h, while throwing seed with three-step jump was 84.20±8.68 km/h. measured by the radar gun. Without jumping back-court players have been distinguished compared to wingers and goalkeepers while there were no significant differences with pivots. Also, almost the same results have been achieved in the throwing speed of jump shot. As differences in throwing speed have been established according to the playing positions, we think the exercises for each posi- tion should also be differentiated.
The aimed of study is analyse the differences in some anthropometric characteristics and body composition be- tween footballers of two clubs in Kosovo, FC Feronikeli and SC Gjilani. The first sample ...consisted of 21 footballers of FC Feronikeli (22.62±3.46 years), current champion, cup and super cup winner in Kosovo at the time of the mea- surement in January 2020. The second sample consisted of 24 footballers of SC Gjilani (26.38±5.62 years), who was the leader of the Superleague of Kosovo at the time of the measurement in February 2020. Anthropometric characteristics were evaluated with following variables: body height, body weight, triceps skinfold, biceps skin- fold, skinfold of the back, abdominal skinfold, upper leg skinfold and lower leg skinfold. The body composition was evaluated with following variables: body mass index, fat percentage and muscle mass. The parameters of descriptive statistics all variables were calculated. The differences between the footballers of FC Feronikeli and SC Gjilani in the following variables were determined using a t-test. It was found that the footballers of the FC Feronikeli and SC Gjilani don’t have statistically significant differences by the variables.
This research aims to establish the effect of flexibility exercise on the motor abilities of young football players. The total number of participants was 68 young football players (beginners, ...pioneers, and cadets) from the Ramiz Sadiku Football Club in Prishtina, Kosovo. The participants were divided into control and experimental groups. The research implemented seven variables for estimating motor abilities. The effect of physical exercise according to the programme of flexibility on the motor abilities of young football players was investigated using uni-variant analysis. The course of preparatory and competition period training programme was conducted three times per week, for both groups. Only the manner of execution of the experimental programme was different (17 exercises of static stretching) for the development of flexibility, which was conducted only with the experimental group within the frame of increased duration by the end of the training. The results acquired show that programme conducted for the development of flexibility (exercised of static stretching) has a statistically significant effect only on flexibility variable “sit-and-reach test” with the experimental group of cadets, and with no statistically essential influence on the motor abilities of beginners, pioneers, and cadets. Therefore, it can be confirmed that static exercises have an essential effect on the improvement of flexibility of participants older than 15 years old, but without positive or negative effects on other variables of the motor abilities of young players.
Training programmes for young football players are designed to stimulate an optimal development of physical performances relevant to football game. The primary aim of this research is to establish ...the effect of the static stretching exercise on the motor abilities (flexibility and speed) of young football players. A total of 24 young football players (U17 category) from Football Club “Ramiz Sadiku” were included in this pilot study. Participants were divided into control and experimental group. The research implemented 6 variables: 1) 2 variables for estimation of morphological characteristics (body height, body mass) and 2) 4 variables for estimation of motor abilities such as flexibility (Sit-and-Reach test), and speed (sprint 5m, sprint 10m and sprint 30m). Data processing was conducted with the software package SPSS, 23.0 version and uni-variant analysis was performed. Acquired results show that conducted experimental program for development of flexibility have statistically significant effect only on flexibility variable “sit and reach test” with the experimental group, and no significant effect on speed 5m, 10m and 30m. Based on the data obtained in this research, it is recommended to use static stretching exercises after training (in the recovery phase), 2-3 times a week for the optimal development of the flexibility of the players at the U17 category.
This research aimed to determine the differences among the top soccer players of a club in Montenegro, FC Buducnost, and the top soccer players of a club in Kosovo, FC Trepca ‘89, the champions in ...their countries, in the anthropometric characteristics and body composition. A sample of 45 subjects was divided into two sub-samples. The first sub-sample of the subjects consisted of 30 soccer players of FC Buducnost of the average age 22.73±4.33, the winners of the Montenegro Championship in the 2016/17 season, while the other sub-sample consisted of 15 soccer players of FC Trepca ‘89 of the average age 21.80±3.57, the winners of the Kosovo Championship in the 2016/17 season. Soccer players were tested immediately after the end of the 2016/17 competition season. Anthropometric characteristics were evaluated using a battery of seven variables: body height, body weight, waist circumference, triceps skinfold, biceps skinfold, skinfold of the back, abdominal skinfold. The body composition was evaluated using a battery of three variables: body mass index, fat percentage and muscle mass. The standard central and dispersion parameters of all variables were calculated. The significance of the differences between the players of the top two soccer clubs in the anthropometric characteristics and variables for assessing body composition was determined using a t-test for independent samples. It was found that the soccer players of the two mentioned clubs do not have statistically significant differences according to the variables.
The repercussion is an essential of the football training, also called “Cool Down”. Static stretching and slow running are typical activities of this section, but in the last few years static ...stretching has had a great infl uence on performance functionality and is one of the most debated topics in sports sciences and medicine. The aspiration of this research is to show the impact of recovery associated with static stretching and the agility performance of young football players. This research was conducted between August and November with a sample of 20 players age 12.1±0.3 years (range 11-13 years) separated into two groups- control and experimental. First measurements that have been initiated are body weight 40.6±6.5 kg, height 152.6±6.9 cm and agility performance (Ajax test 5x10 m and zig-zag test with and without ball). Agility was measured with electronic photocells’, with a measurement of .01 sec. Experimental testing proposed that both groups have completed the regular training program, while the experimental group (despite the control group) during the recuperation (cool down) except running, they conveyed out the experimental treatment / static stretching exercises. Each exercise lasts at least 20 seconds. After completing the experimental program members in both groups underwent fi nal measurements. The results that were reached by univariate analysis of variance (ANOVA) at initial and fi nal measurements, have shown insignifi cant statistical values between the control and experimental group in the agility performance.
