A 35-year-old woman presented with a thyroid mass, weakness and shortness of breath of 3 years duration. On physical examination, she had a diffusely enlarged thyroid gland with multiple nodules. ...There were no signs to suggest immune suppression. The patient farmed and raised livestock. Biochemical tests and hemogram were normal. She underwent surgery, and a histological examination of the surgical specimen revealed nodular hyperplasia. Microscopically, silver methenamine (PASM) stain-positive hyphae that divided into branches at 45° and conidia were detected beside the thyroid capsule, with conidia in the cystic nodule. Moreover, ischemic changes of the thyroid tissue were observed closer to the capsule. We report a case of Aspergillosis of the thyroid of a patient who underwent surgery for a multinodular goiter.

Schwannomas (neurilemmomas) are benign neurogenic tumours of peripheral nerves. They originate from Schwann cells, which form the neural sheath. Although Schwannomas and neurofibromas are the most ...common primary peripheral nerve tumours, Schwannomas are rarely observed in ophthalmic areas. When they occur, ocular Schwannomas are usually located in the orbit, uveal tract and conjunctiva. Isolated eyelid Schwannomas are reported infrequently. Herein, we describe a case of eyelid Schwannoma in a 50-year-old man. The diagnosis of Schwannoma was made after the eyelid mass was removed by excisional biopsy, so this entity should be included in the differential diagnosis of eyelid margin tumours.

ABSTRACT
Lipedematous scalp is characterized by increased subcutaneous thickness of the scalp without any hair change. A 50‐year‐old female presented with thickening of the scalp without alopecia. ...She had no disorder other than hypertension. Monthly sonographic measurements without any treatment showed a resolution tendency in some areas and an increased thickness in others. We discuss the characteristics of this rare and possibly underestimated entity, including differential diagnoses.

Clear cell sarcoma of the kidney (CCSK) is a rare renal neoplasm of childhood. While CCSK is more common in children, it is extremely rare in adults. In CCSK, a tumor thrombus is sometimes formed in the inferior vena cava. Herein, we describe a rare case of an 18-year-old female with CCSK with vascular tumor thrombus extending to the inferior vena cava that was managed successfully by excision of the renal mass and vena caval thrombus, and pulmonary metastasectomy using cardiopulmonary bypass without cardiac arrest.
We evaluated the effect of calcium alginate as a hemostatic agent in a splenic injury model.
Experimental rats (Wistar albino) were divided into four groups. Group I: Laparotomy was not performed. ...Group II: After laparotomy, the abdomen was closed without any splenic injury. Group III: After laparotomy, splenic injury about 0.5 cm in depth and 0.3 cm in length was created by standard Rochester pean forceps. Physiological serum treated gauze dressing, about 2x2 cm in size, was applied to the injured splenic tissue for 3 minutes. Group IV: After laparotomy, standard splenic injury about 0.5 cm in length and 0.3 cm in depth was created. Calcium alginate wound dressing, 1x1 cm in size, was applied to the splenic wound. In all groups, blood samples for bleeding time and hemogram were taken. Peroperative blood loss, pre- and post-operative hemoglobin and hematocrit values were calculated.
Comparing hematocrit values and peroperative bleeding in Groups III and IV, Group IV had a lower decline in hematocrit values and lower peroperative bleeding.
Calcium alginate has hemostatic capacity. It may be used in splenic injuries, especially for Grades I and II.
Seed yields of 14 soybean genotypes were evaluated in four locations i.e. Adana, Şanlıurfa, Antalya and İzmir under second crop conditions through summer seasons from 2014 to 2016. The aims of ...research are to estimate the stability parameters in terms of seed yield of 14 soybean genotypes by used different stability analysis methods across eleven environmental conditions and to study interrelationship among these stability methods. The analysis of variance for seed yield revealed that the genotypes and the environments as well as the genotype x environment interactions (GEI) were statistically significant at P<0.01. Environmental effects were contributed of 51.04% to the total sum of squares whereas GEI and genotype effects were 20.8% and 2.59%, respectively. According to most of stability methods, BATEM 223, BATEM 306, BATEM 317 and KASM 02 were determined to be stable genotypes. These genotypes demonstrated superior adaptability with high yield performances in many environments. Results of correlation analysis indicated that seed yield was positively and significantly correlated with Di2 (P<0.01), Si(6) (P<0.05) and TOP (P<0.01) and showed a negative and significant correlation with Pi (P<0.01) and RS (P<0.01). In addition, the coefficient of regression (bi) had positively significant associated with CVi, αi (P<0.01) and Ri2 (P<0.05).
