The attitudes towards the teaching profession reflect teachers’ perception of the profession and strongly shape their professional behavior. As understanding the teaching profession and developing ...positive attitudes requires a long process, it is important to determine factors affecting attitudes towards teaching profession before the students engage in actual work behavior. Therefore, this study aims to determine the predictive power of career adaptability and academic motivation on student teachers’ attitudes towards the teaching profession. The study was carried out through convergent parallel mixed methods design. 251 student teachers participated in the quantitative part of the study. For the qualitative part, five voluntary students attended the focus group interview. Quantitative data were collected with three scales while the qualitative data were collected through a focus group interview. The quantitative data were analyzed through stepwise multiple regression analysis and the qualitative data were analyzed through content analysis. Quantitative findings indicated that career adaptability and academic motivation predicted the attitudes towards the teaching profession, significantly. Correspondingly, the qualitative data also gave parallel results with the quantitative data, indicating that students’ adaptation to career and their academic motivation were important predictors of their attitudes towards the teaching profession.
COVID-19 salgını her sektör ve iş alanında olduğu gibi, eğitim sektöründe de önemli etkiler bırakmıştır. Salgının ilk başladığı tarihin üzerinden uzunca bir zaman geçmiş olmasına rağmen, Türkiye’de ...öğretmenlere uygun yüz yüze ve çevrim içi bileşenlerin olduğu mesleki gelişim programlarının azlığı dikkat çekmekte ve var olanların da beklentileri ve ihtiyaçları karşılayacak düzeyde olmadığı görülmektedir. Mevcut araştırma, var olan boşluklara ve ihtiyaçlara yönelik bir öneride bulunma, bu alanda bakış açısı geliştirmeye katkıda bulunma ve yüz yüze ile çevrim içi bileşenlerin birbirini desteklediği bir mesleki gelişim programı sunma amacı taşımaktadır. Bu program hem fiziksel olarak yüz yüze hem eş zamanlı (senkron) hem de eş zamanlı olmayan (asenkron) etkinlikleri içinde barındırabilen, kaliteli ve etkili mesleki gelişim programlarının kuramsal temellerini içeren karma bir yapıdadır. Araştırma, salgın sürecinde ve sonrasında öğretmenlerin mesleki gelişim sürecinin nasıl şekillendirildiğinin ve bu programdan öğretmenlerin mesleki gelişimleri için gelecekte nasıl yararlanılabileceğinin betimlenmesi açısından önem arz etmektedir. Araştırmada, salgın süreci boyunca bu programın kullanılmasıyla ilgili detaylar ve örnekler verilmiş, programın uzaktan eğitim araç ve gereçleri kullanılarak nasıl uyarlanılacağına değinilmiştir.
Bu araştırmanın amacı İngilizce dersinde UbD temelli yaratıcı drama etkinliklerinin ortaokul öğrencileri üzerindeki yansımalarının incelenmesidir. Araştırma olgubilim deseniyle yürütülmüştür. ...Araştırmanın katılımcılarını ortaokul yedinci sınıfa devam eden 15 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak öğrenci günlükleri kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın uygulama süreci dört hafta boyunca devam etmiştir. Öncelikle İngilizce derslerinde kullanılmak üzere UbD planları hazırlanmış ve bu planlara yaratıcı drama etkinlikleri entegre edilmiştir. Sonrasında ünite planının uygulaması gerçekleşmiştir. Her yaratıcı drama etkinliğinin sonunda öğrencilerden günlük tutmaları istenmiş ve bu sayede onların ne kadar ilerlediklerini göstermeleri ve görüşlerini kendi ana dillerinde ifade etmeleri beklenmiştir. Toplanan veriler içerik analizi yöntemiyle analiz edilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular, yaratıcı drama ile yapılan etkinlikler sonunda öğrencilerin öz güvenlerinin arttığını ve geleneksel yöntem ile işlenen İngilizce dersinden daha çok aktif katılımda bulunduklarını ortaya koymuştur. Öğrencilerin kendi öğrenme süreçleri hakkında farkındalıklarının gelişmesi adına benzer araştırmalara gelecekte de yer verilebilir ve uygulama süresi daha uzun tutulabilir.
The purpose of the study is to examine how the student teachers' perceptions of instructional planning competency predict their competency in instructional planning. The study was carried out through ...explanatory mixed method design. The participants of the study included 102 teacher candidates, 65 of whom were female and 37 of whom were male. As quantitative data collection tools, The Scale for Perception of Proficiency in Instruction Planning (SPPIP) developed by Gülbahar and UbD Design Standards Rubric developed by Wiggins and McTighe were used. As qualitative data collection tools, unit plans and focus group interview were used. The quantitative data was analyzed by applying correlational analysis and simple linear regression analysis. The qualitative data was analyzed through content analysis. The regression analysis demonstrate that student teachers' perceived proficiency in instructional planning explained 57% (R

= .57) of the competency in instructional planning. As for the qualitative portion of the study, the analysis of collected data revealed three themes regarding student teachers' views on competency in instructional planning process: factors affecting competency, challenging elements in instructional planning, and strategies to develop competency.
Bu çalışma, 2018 yılı Fen bilimleri öğretim programının CIPP değerlendirme modeline göre incelenmesini ele almaktadır. Bu amaçla 10 öğretmen ve 10 öğrenci ile birebir görüşme sağlanmıştır. Araştırma ...olgubilim (fenomenoloji) deseni ile yürütülmüş ve veriler görüşme tekniği ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde içerik analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın bulguları öğretmenlerin programla ilgili yoğun olan kazanımlarının azaltılmasını, sürenin artırılmasını, öğretmenlere kılavuz hazırlanmasını, hizmet içi eğitimlerin desteklenmesini gerekli bulduğunu ortaya koymuştur. Öğrencilerden elde edilen bulgular ise derslerin yoğun olarak işlendiğini, derslerde tek tip anlatım yöntemi kullanıldığını, deney derslerinin çok az olduğunu, laboratuvarın az kullanıldığını, teknolojik desteğin kısıtlı olduğunu ortaya koymuştur. Araştırma Türkiye’deki daha fazla okulu kapsayacak şekilde diğer okullarla yürütülerek elde edilen sonuçların güvenirliği artırılabilir.
This study examines the 2018 science curriculum according to the CIPP evaluation model. For this purpose, one-on-one interviews were conducted with 10 teachers and 10 students. The research was carried out with the phenomenology design. The interview technique was used to collect the data for the research. Content analysis was used in the analysis of the collected data. The findings of the study revealed that teachers found it necessary to reduce the intensive acquisitions related to the program, to increase the duration, to prepare a guide for teachers, and to support in-service training. On the other hand, the findings obtained from the students revealed that the lessons were taught intensively, only the lecture method was used in the lessons, the experimental lessons were very few, the laboratory was used less, and the technological support was limited. Further research can be conducted with more teachers and students.

The data was obtained from air pollution ...monitoring stations of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Environmental Protection Department. We compared the variations of mean concentrations monthly, yearly and seasonally. The winter season was accepted from Oct to Mar and the summer season from Apr to Sep.
The highest monthly average values for all measurements of sulfur dioxide and CO were 12.61, 949.19 μg/m
in Sarachane respectively. The Highest value of the monthly average of the Particulate Matter was 72.07 μg/m
in Kartal district. During the period between 2003-2013, monthly mean concentration values of different districts differed significantly in levels of SO

=0.012), CO (
=0.029), and PM (
=0.024).

Bu araştırmanın amacı COVID-19 pandemisinde fen bilimleri öğretmenlerinin sahip oldukları teknolojik pedagojik alan bilgisi (TPAB) öz yeterliği ile uzaktan eğitime yönelik tutumları arasındaki ...ilişkinin incelenmesidir. Araştırma açıklayıcı sıralı karma araştırma modeli ile yürütülmüştür. Araştırma nicel boyutunda kolay ulaşılabilir örnekleme yoluyla 106 fen bilimleri öğretmenine ulaşılmıştır. Araştırmanın nicel boyutundan elde edilen veriler Mann-Whitney U testi ve Kruskal Wallis H Testi ile analiz edilmiştir. Nitel aşamada katılımcılar nicel aşamada yer alan katılımcılar içerisinden seçilerek standartlaştırılmış açık uçlu soruların yöneltildiği bir görüşme gerçekleştirilmiş, görüşmelerin ses kaydı alınarak içerik analizi yapılmıştır. Çalışmanın sonucuna göre fen bilimleri öğretmenlerinin TPAB öz yeterliği ile uzaktan eğitim tutumu kurum türü, kıdem ve cinsiyet açısından incelendiğinde anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmamıştır. Bu bağlamda görüşmeden elde edilen nitel bulgular nicel bulguları desteklemektedir.
