The cost of any product includes the cost of electrical energy in its production. Enterprises use various methods to reduce the cost of electric energy. One of the most common methods is to reduce ...the loss of active power in the distribution network of an enterprise. This is achieved by compensating for distortions in the power quality of electrical energy using compensating devices. The method presented in the article offers point compensation of distortions in the power quality indicators of electric energy. Point connection of compensating devices allows their small number to be used. But, at the same time, a greater effect is achieved. The connection points of compensating devices are determined by the developed method. The method includes three stages: collecting data on consumers of electric energy at an enterprise and on the topology of the distribution electric network, analyzing the results obtained using the developed algorithm, and determining connection points using the Pareto method. Also, the developed method was compared with the classical ones according to the criterion of the ratio of implementation costs to the effect of its application.

Automatic pollen images recognition is crucial for pollinosis symptoms prevention and treatment. The problem of pollen recognition can be efficiently solved using deep learning, however neural ...networks require tens of thousands of images to generalize. At the same time, the existing open pollen images datasets are very small. In this paper, we present a novel open pollen dataset annotated for both detection and classification tasks. Based on our dataset we study learning from a small data using different state-of-the-art approaches. For the detection task we propose to use our new Bayesian RetinaNet network, which models aleatoric uncertainty. We compare it with the baseline RetinaNet and demonstrate that our model allows for higher detection precision. For the classification task we compare the impact of pre-training on the synthetic images from generative adversarial networks (GANs) and metric-based few-shot learning. Namely, we pre-trained our small convolutional neural network and Siamese neural network classifiers on synthetic pollen images generated by two GANs: StyleGAN and Self-attention GAN. The best classifier is the convolutional neural network pre-trained on StyleGAN images. Our best models achieved 96.3% of mean average precision for the detection task and 97.7% of F1 measure for the classification task on 13 pollen plant species. We have implemented the best models in our pollen recognition web service, which is available for palynologists on request.

The paper considers the problems of applying the Russian as a foreign language teaching technique for teaching literature at pre-university department. In spite of the reduced scope of additional ...educational program in literature as provided for by the new requirements, in this audience, studying the Russian writers’ works corps is coupled with difficulties of both linguistic and mental nature. The teaching starts in groups having A1 mastery level of Russian, and, alongside with the non-mother tongue, the attendees have to master a course of Russian literature ranging from folklore and Old Russian literature to that of the 20th century within an incomplete academic year. The specific character of students’ audience and program requirements prescribe the necessary use of the main principles of RFL teaching – communicative, linguistic, didactic and psychological ones. The authors of the paper pay a special attention to practical application of the said principles giving numerous examples of study assignments and exercises of various types. The paper can be targeted to RFL teachers, students of philology and to everyone interested in problems of techniques of teaching literature in a non-mother tongues.

The paper presents the results of a study that explores the real teaching experience designing different kinds of speech situations during lessons of Russian as a Foreign Language for beginner ...learners. The study was carried out at National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University in the 2014-2015 academic year. The primary concern was to discover the most productive set of expressions and speaking turns for situational communication. The outcome is an algorithm of designing speech situations and a typology of speech situations. The paper may be of interest to practising teachers of Russian as a foreign language, students from teacher training colleges and to anyone who is interested in the methodology of teaching Russian as a foreign language.
The development of complex software systems is impossible without using modern modeling tools. At the design process, various models are developed: when solving each task, the attributes of processes ...and systems, which are significant for solving this task, are to be presented in the model. Developing analytical systems for data-intensive areas has specifics, which determine new requirements for the system functionality and architecture (interoperability, adaptability, etc.). These requirements can be implemented in the system based on a combination of two approaches: knowledge-driven development and model-driven development. This article presents an approach to creating a knowledge-driven analytical platforms, which integrate language toolkits allowing to create "on the fly" new domain-specific languages (DSLs). DSLs provide "user interfaces" which are customizable to the specifics of the tasks, solved by users with modeling tools, and to the corresponding users' domains. The architecture of the analytical platform, the graph model, and the metalanguage which are the basis of the language toolkits implementation are described in the paper. The multifaceted ontology, which is the core of the analytical platform, is presented too.

The article presents an approach to the analyzing processes in different domains using data from various Internet sources (open databases, news feeds, social networks, etc.). This one is suitable to ...carry out cross-disciplinary research encompassing processes in various fields (for example, economics, medicine, politics, ecology, etc.) in which events can have mutual affects. The concept of event series is given as the main one in this study. Event series are defined via analogy with time series as a collection of values of some parameters of the investigated processes, where the type of event is indicated instead of the measurement time. The event series analysis should take into account not only the relationship of measurements with time (or the events chronology), but also the causal relationships that can be identified at the study of processes. The event series formation is based on using multifaceted ontology describing different aspects of research such as data sources and structure of information extracted from them to solve user's tasks, as well as domains and events, rules that characterize events, and the methods to solve tasks. The ontology is used when working with unstructured data to build an event log, which is formed in the first step when constructing event series. Next, the ontology is used to pre-process data before performing process mining tools applied to creating and analyzing models of processes. Using multifaceted ontology experts can define new rules for pre-processing data and generating event logs based on the concept of event-time series. These tools allow to generate more informative models.
