Stripe rust (or yellow rust), caused by Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici, is one of the most destructive diseases of wheat worldwide. Growing resistant cultivars is the best approach to control ...the disease. To identify and map genes for stripe rust resistance in wheat cultivar ‘Wuhan 2', an F₂ population was developed from a cross between the cultivar and susceptible cultivar Mingxian 169. The parents, 179 F₂ plants and their derived F₂:₃ lines were evaluated for responses to Chinese races CYR30 and CYR31 of the pathogen in a greenhouse. A recessive gene for resistance was identified. DNA bulked segregant analysis was applied and resistance gene analog polymorphism (RGAP) and simple sequence repeat (SSR) techniques were used to identify molecular markers linked to the resistance gene. A genetic map consisting of five RGAP and six SSR markers was constructed. The recessive gene, designated Yrwh2, was located on the short arm of chromosome 3B and flanked by SSR markers Xwmc540 and Xgwm566 at 5.9 and 10.0 cM, respectively. The chromosomal location of the resistance gene and its close marker suggest that the locus is different from previously reported stripe rust resistance genes Yr30, QYr.ucw-3BS, Yrns-B1, YrRub and QYrex.wgp-3BL previously mapped to chromosome 3B. Yrwh2 and its closely linked markers are potentially useful for developing stripe rust resistance wheat cultivars if used in combination with other genes.
At present, there are disadvantages with the detection for occupational hazard factors, such as insufficient monitoring data, poor timeliness, weak representativeness, long detection cycles, and ...inability to continuously monitor. Taking advantages of internet of things technology, an online monitoring platform for occupational hazard factors has been designed. The platform collects the concentration (intensity) of hazard factors through sensors, transmits the occupational hazards data collected online in realtime. The online monitoring cloud center for occupational hazard factors processes and analyzes online monitoring data in realtime, stores the hazard factors data to form database management, and provides user application services to form an intelligent online monitoring service model for occupational hazard factors. Based on the online monitoring platform of occupational hazard factors, multi-level government health supervision departments and employers can grasp the status of hazard factors in real time
We have fabricated the uniform CoO-coated Co nanocluster-assembled films at various oxygen gas flow rates (fO) by using a plasma-gas-condensation method and studied their anomalous Hall effect (AHE). ...The longitudinal resistivity (ρxx) of all the films exhibits a minimum at a temperature of Tmin. With the increase of fO, Tmin shifts from 150 to 300K and has no longer change when fO is up to 0.10sccm. The saturated AHE resistivity (ρxyA) presents a near linear increase as fO rises. The anomalous Hall coefficient (Rs) at fO=0.20sccm is 4.9×10−9ΩcmG−1 at 300K, which is almost three orders of magnitude larger than bulk Co. Moreover, at fO=0 and 0.05sccm, the scaling exponents γ=1.2 and 1.24 in ρxyA∝ρxxγ are obtained in the region of 325–375K; At fO=0.10, 0.15 and 0.20sccm, ρxyA decreases with the increase of ρxx on a double-logarithmic scale, following a new scaling relation of log(ρxyA/ρxx)=a0+b0logρxx in two temperature ranges of 5–300K and 325–375K.
•The longitudinal resistivity exhibits a minimum at a temperature of Tmin.•Compared with bulk Co, the AHE has been greatly improved.•At fO=0.10, 0.15 and 0.20sccm, ρxyA and ρxx following a new scaling relation.
Two new rare earth containing orthoborate crystals ASr4La3(BO3)6 (A = Li, Na) have been obtained by spontaneous nucleation from high-temperature melts of A2O–SrO–La2O3–B2O3–AF. X-ray diffraction ...analyses show that they both crystallize in the rhombohedral space group R-3 with cell parameters of a = 12.309(7) Å, c = 9.316(7) Å and a = 12.4049(13) Å, c = 9.348(2) Å for the Li and Na compounds respectively. Similar to the large A′6MM′(BO3)6 family, these compounds are all related to the structure of Sr3Y(BO3)3 with La and Sr statistically occupy the Sr site, and the alkaline elements and remaining Sr enter the ordered Y1 and Y2 sites, which can be approximately represented as (La2.91Sr3.09)(La0.09Sr0.91)LiB6O18 and (La2.85Sr3.15)(La0.15Sr0.85)NaB6O18. The characteristic of the structure is that the La/Sr and isolated BO3 groups form a network with tunnels along the c-axis where the alkaline A and Sr ions alternatively reside. The optical transmission spectrum shows that the ultraviolet absorption edge of NaSr4La3(BO3)6 crystal is about 193 nm and Raman spectra reveal that both crystals possess sharp peaks at 930 cm−1.

We report results on the searches of weakly interacting massive particles (WIMPs) with sub-GeV masses (mχ) via WIMP-nucleus spin-independent scattering with Migdal effect incorporated. Analysis on ...time-integrated (TI) and annual modulation (AM) effects on CDEX-1B data are performed, with 737.1 kg day exposure and 160 eVee threshold for TI analysis, and 1107.5 kg day exposure and 250 eVee threshold for AM analysis. The sensitive windows in mχ are expanded by an order of magnitude to lower DM masses with Migdal effect incorporated. New limits on σχNSI at 90% confidence level are derived as 2×10−32∼7×10−35 cm2 for TI analysis at mχ∼50–180 MeV/c2, and 3×10−32∼9×10−38 cm2 for AM analysis at mχ∼75 MeV/c2–3.0 GeV/c2.
Using a regional climate model with detailed land surface processes (RegCM2), East Asian monsoon climates at 6 ka BP and 21 ka BP are simulated by prescribing vegetation and employing paleovegetation ...respectively in order to examine land surface effects on East Asian climate system and the potential mechanisms for climate change. The RegCM2 with a 120 × 120 km^sup 2^ resolution has simulated the enlargement of the seasonal cycle of insolation, the temperature rising the whole year, and the reduction of perpetual snow in high latitudes at 6 ka BP. The simulation shows the East Asian summer monsoon strengthening, precipitation and P-E increasing, and the monsoon rain belt shifting westwards and northwards. Effect of paleovegetation included in the modeling reduced surface albedo and caused an increase in the winter temperature, which led to weakening of the winter continental cold anticyclone over China. The results make the seasonal characteristics of simulated temperature changes in better agreement with the geological records, and are an improvement over previous simulations of Paleoclimate Modeling Intercomparison Project (PMIP). The RegCM2 simulated the 21 ka BP climate with lowered temperature throughout the year, and with precipitation reduced in most areas of East Asia (but increased in both the Tibetan Plateau and Central Asia). Low temperature over East Asia led to the strengthening of the East Asian winter monsoon and the shrinking of the summer monsoon. The effect of paleovegetation included in the experiment has enlarged the glacial climate influence in East Asia, which is closer to geological data than the PMIP simulations directly driven by insolation, glaciation and low CO^sub 2^ concentration.PUBLICATION ABSTRACT
Spitz nevi are benign melanocytic lesions with many histologic similarities to malignant melanoma. A case of agminated Spitz nevi on a 2‐year‐old boy's left cheek is reported and 41 other cases of ...agminated Spitz nevi are reviewed. In this case, two biopsies were performed on two different‐appearing lesions and the results of both biopsies showed Spitz nevi.
We report the first results of a light weakly interacting massive particles (WIMPs) search from the CDEX-10 experiment with a 10 kg germanium detector array immersed in liquid nitrogen at the China ...Jinping Underground Laboratory with a physics data size of 102.8 kg day. At an analysis threshold of 160 eVee, improved limits of 8×10^{-42} and 3×10^{-36} cm^{2} at a 90% confidence level on spin-independent and spin-dependent WIMP-nucleon cross sections, respectively, at a WIMP mass (m_{χ}) of 5 GeV/c^{2} are achieved. The lower reach of m_{χ} is extended to 2 GeV/c^{2}.
Diabetes affects the renal function at a certain stage. Oral medication glipizide plays a hypoglycemic effect mainly through releasing insulin, while more insulin is derived from islet β cells. It is ...still controversy whether antidiabetics. This study mainly intends to investigate the role of glipizide in inhibiting renal interstitial fibrosis.
A total of 93 SD rats were purchased from Guangdong animal monitoring and established unilateral ureteral obstruction (UUO) model to simulate renal interstitial fibrosis. Forty rats in the experimental group received glipizide intraperitoneal injection for a week at 30 days after modeling, while another 40 rats in the control group received a normal saline injection. The last 10 rats were treated as blank group. Hematoxylin and eosin (HE) staining was applied to test renal interstitial fibrosis. Immunohistochemistry was used to detect fibronectin expression in glomerular and renal tubules. AKT signaling pathway related factors expression was measured by Western blot to determine AKT signal activation.
HE staining showed that the entire kidney cytoplasm red dye becomes shallow, renal medulla gradually disappears, renal tubular epithelial cells enlarge, vacuoles degeneration, renal tubule and collecting tube expansion, inflammatory cells infiltration after UUO modeling. Glipizide treatment decreased dilated renal tubule number, improved glomerulus integrity, and reduced inflammatory infiltration. Fibronectin level in the experimental group was significantly lower than that in control (p<0.05). Western blot revealed that p-AKT expression downregulated after glipizide treatment.
Glipizide blocks renal interstitial fibrosis by inhibiting AKT signaling pathway.
