Abstract Given the recent surge in interest in UAVs and their potential applications, a great deal of work has lately been done in the field of UAV control. However, UAVs belong to a class of ...nonlinear systems that are inherently difficult to control. In this study we devised a mathematical model for a PID (proportional integral derivative) control system, designed to control a quadrotor UAV so that it follows a predefined trajectory. After first describing quadrotor flight dynamics, we present the control model adopted in our system (developed in MATLAB Simulink). We then present simulated results for the use of the control system to move a quadrotor UAV to desired locations and along desired trajectories. Positive results of these simulation support the conclusion that a quadrotor UAV spatial orientation control system based on this model will successfully fulfil its task also in real conditions.
This article reviews and advances existing literature concerning computer vision and route planning algorithms, sensing and computing technologies, and vehicle and pedestrian detection tools. ...Throughout June 2022, a quantitative literature review of the Web of Science, Scopus, and ProQuest databases was performed, with search terms including "big data-driven governance" + "smart sustainable intelligent transportation systems" + "autonomous driving behaviors," "predictive modeling techniques," and "sensing and computing technologies." As research published in 2022 was inspected, only 181 articles satisfied the eligibility criteria. By taking out controversial or ambiguous findings (insufficient/irrelevant data), outcomes unsubstantiated by replication, too general material, or studies with nearly identical titles, we selected 37 mainly empirical sources. Data visualization tools: Dimensions (bibliometric mapping) and VOSviewer (layout algorithms). Reporting quality assessment tool: PRISMA. Methodological quality assessment tools include: AXIS, MMAT, ROBIS, and SRDR.
The paper presents the model of air passenger processes at airports for single source and two source processes. It shall be used as a component for the development of passenger flow model. In the ...paper the single source model is applied on passenger check-in process. It is based on deterministic queuing model where cumulative diagrams of the flow are used for calculations. As input data the model requires the arrival and service profile of passengers at the check-in. The arrival profile is a cumulative number of passengers arriving to the server during the time. The service profile is a cumulative number of passengers which can be served by the check-in process. The calculation of average waiting time and average length of the waiting queue is presented in the paper. In latter part of the paper the case of two source process is discussed.
Research background: Business profit and its stable development are key performance indicators. Many enterprises performed earnings manipulation, either upward or downward, according to the current ...business and macroeconomic situation, as well as time. These activities may interrupt the stationarity of time series. This article focuses on the transport enterprises, and the assessment of bonds in their earnings. Purpose of the article: The target of the article was to identify the occurrence of non-stationary and its unit root in the EBITDA of transport enterprises for each country in V4 during the period of 2010?2019. Methods: The stationarity and unit roots in time series were tested by the Kwiatkowski, Phillips, Schmidt, and Shin tests and the Augmented Dickey-Fuller based on the samples of 470 Slovak, 405 Czech, 774 Polish, and 1,056 Hungarian. The behavior of earnings manipulation (the first cause of non-stationarity) was indicated by the Modified Jones model. Additional causes for non-stationarity were confirmed by the regression analysis, including factors such as the GDP, unemployment rate, average monthly gross wage, and the Ease of doing business index. Findings & value added: The non-stationarity in the time series of EBITDA was disclosed for each country in the V4 region. Earnings management was discovered to be the cause of this erratic development. Thus, the value-added for the authorities and auditors is to show the association between non-stationary and creative accounting. In addition, purposeful downward manipulation in the transport sector occurs, not upward, which is typical in general. The methodology used in the study may be applied cross-sectorally in emerging countries. The labelling of specific macroeconomic variables depending on the country offers enterprises the opportunity to focus on factors with a crucial influence on their existence and activities.
The article presents an aerodynamic analysis of the aircraft models. The process of constructing the physical model began with the development of geometry. Preliminary design was made using ...SolidWorks program, giving the desired shape with as many details as the method allowed. It had to be made precisely, because later it was to be printed on a 3D printer. In this phase of the project a special hole was also prepared on the model side for mounting in the wind tunnel. The work presents to compare aerodynamic parameters of three models. The models were presented and printed made of thermoplastic material used with a 3D printer. Measurements depend on the determined longitudinal and vertical axial force depending on the angle of attack at the same speed for all objects. The tests were carried out in two types of tunnels: structure 1 in a closed tunnel, structure 2 and 3 in an open tunnel at the Lublin University of Technology. Models 2 and 3 are very close to each other, the only significant difference is the installation of 3 short wings in the place of engine nacelles. The analysis allows you to check whether a given modification has a positive effect on its characteristics.

This paper describes the logistics of a Fatigue Risk Management System and its implications for crew rostering with airline operations. The logistics of rostering in an airline requires that the ...figures estimated on fleet management and demand planning are set to the most accurate values. Many variables play a role; these values would be estimated values for the expected needs of the fleet management and the demands of planning. Crew availability can be described as a part of production but also distribution, and disposal logistics. Crews are the input of an airline company that distributes passengers or goods to a destination; contributing to an output for the company. The efficient use of crew members helps in logistics disposal; e.g., a refusal of a crew member to operate a flight due to fatigue can lead to flight disruption or even a flight cancellation, which will incur additional costs to the company. Scheduling processes with regards to crew member fatigue are furthermore regulated via Flight Time Limitations and Fatigue Risk Management Systems, however, the authors discuss the possibilities of fatigue mitigation through limiting the existing scheduling processes.

In order to obtain the result, we introduce a generalization of the Chebyshev inequality. We also present numerical example.
