In Slovenia there is no cyclotron facility which would allow to produce radio-pharmaceuticals for positron emission tomography. We are currently designing the cyclotron center which would beside ...producing radio-pharmaceuticals also enable cyclotron centered basic research. Several options are being considered, which would allow to use the accelerated beams for use in nuclear physics in connection with the existing tandetron facility. In addition research and development of new radio-pharmaceuticals is one of the design key issues. In this contribution the system requirements and the design of the facility will be discussed.
In a high energy electron ring the spins of electrons become spontaneously polarized via the emission of spin-flip synchrotron radiation. By employing a radio frequency (RF) radial dipole field ...kicker, particle spin directions can be rotated slowly over many turns. A model which couples three dimensional spin motion and longitudinal particle motion was constructed to describe non-equilibrium spin dynamics in high energy electron storage rings. The effects of a stochastic synchrotron radiation on the orbital motion in the accelerator synchrotron plane and its influence on the spin motion are studied. The main contributions to the spin motion, the synchrotron oscillations and the stochastic synchrotron radiation all have different influence on the spin polarization reversal. They also have different relative contributions in different regions of the parameter space. The results indicate that polarization reversal might be obtained in high energy electron storage rings with a significant noise even with relatively small strengths of a perturbing magnetic field. The only experimental datum available agrees with the model prediction, however further experimental data of different electron storage rings would be necessary to validate the model.
With the transition of innovation to the digital sphere, software has become an essential part of contemporary inventions and creations. It is also an essential part of intellectual property. The ...state of software protection in the European innovation ecosystem still needs to be considered fully regulated. However, researchers in computer science also face several challenges when exploiting intellectual property rights in the software. The field, therefore, offers opportunities for researching, which should steer research to (1) present the critical points, and (2) update some of the legal frameworks to address more clearly the field that deals with the issue of remuneration for researchers in computer science. The overview paper discusses software, focusing mainly on the challenges that researchers in computer science face in protecting and licensing software in the European innovation ecosystem. The following paper presents the state of the researchers ' remuneration under protection and licensing.
