Interstitial granulomatous drug reaction (IGDR) is a distinct inflammatory process that often presents as annular, violaceous plaques distributed on the extremities, proximal trunk, and ...intertriginous areas. The list of drugs implicated for inciting IGDR is growing, but most prominently includes ACE inhibitors, antihistamines, beta-blockers, antidepressants, and anticonvulsants. Ustekinumab is a human monoclonal antibody that targets inflammatory cytokines IL-12 and IL-23 and has been have shown to be effective in treating IGDR. However, we present a case that suggests ustekinumab can also act as an inciting agent for IGDR.

Abstract
This is the final report on the nomenclature of pyroxenes by the Subcommittee on Pyroxenes established by the Commission on New Minerals and Mineral Names of the International Mineralogical ...Association. The recommendations of the Subcommittee as put forward in this report have been formally accepted by the Commission. Accepted and widely used names have been chemically defined, by combining new and conventional methods, to agree as far as possible with the consensus of present use. Twenty names are formally accepted, among which thirteen are used to represent the end-members of definite chemical compositions. In common binary solid-solution series, species names are given to the two end-members by the ‘50% rule’. Adjectival modifiers for pyroxene mineral names are defined to indicate unusual amounts of chemical constituents. This report includes a list of 105 previously used pyroxene names that have been formally discarded by the Commission.
Abstract
Two specimens of tremolite and one of richterite, all with nephrite jade texture, have been examined by transmission electron microscopy using ion-thinning for specimen preparation. The ...specimens contain clusters of very small lath-like crystallites with
z
-axes approximately parallel but in a range of azimuthal orientations. It is suggested that these clusters which are themselves in varied orientations are the result of post-tectonic recrystallization of strained amphibole crystals, the new crystals inheriting the
z
-axis orientations of the old. The extreme toughness of nephrite jade is attributed to a number of the sub-microscopic features observed, including the sizes, habits, and orientations of its crystallites, and the nature of its grain boundaries.
Abstract
The second occurrence of the asbestiform silicate carlosturanite is reported. The mineral occurs in Taberg, Sweden, and it was previously reported as ‘picrolite’, that is fibrous antigorite. ...Carlosturanite from Taberg is non-pleochroic, green in colour and has positive optical elongation. The unit cell parameters are

Because there are close similarities in structure and properties of carlosturanite and the picrolite variety of antigorite, their distinction requires careful attention to X-ray and electron diffraction patterns and chemical compositions. The present identification of the Taberg specimen as carlosturanite puts a lower limit of 33.7 Å to the known range of

The considerably improved facilities for determining crystal structures, making use of electronic computers, has resulted in a large number of structure analyses of minerals in the last six years. ...Many new structures have been determined, and previously known structures have been re-determined with greater accuracy. Although the new structures are largely of less common minerals, important new principles of structure building have been discovered for chain silicates and for zeolites. The finer details of the structures of the layered silicates and of the feldspars are important aids to the understanding of polymorphism, solid solution, thermal relationships and paragenesis.
Shingles, also known as herpes zoster, is a common disease in the elderly population that is caused by reactivation of latent varicella zoster virus. Its manifestations and complications can lead to ...significant short- and long-term morbidity. In 2006, the United States Food and Drug Administration approved Zoster Vaccine Live (Zostavax) for the prevention of herpes zoster in immunocompetent adults age 60 and over. The approval was based on the results ofa large, multi-center clinical trial, the Shingles Prevention Study. This study showed that vaccination significantly decreased shingles incidence, burden of illness due to disease, and the development of, and severity of postherpetic neuralgia. This review offers an overview of varicella zoster virus infection and complications, a summary of the Shingles Prevention Study, and a critical analysis designed to aid the practicing physician who has questions about vaccine administration.
