Cloud Computing conducts application, infrastructure services or platform to a very large amount of users with more choices and continuous changing requirements. Cloud providers are occupied in ...organizing data warehouses to arrange the continuous growth in cloud user’s acceptance. Features of cloud computing services have afforded an important tendency of companies choosing these services. In this case, many cloud users, who intend a certain service, and many cloud providers, who provision those services, create a competitive market. When constructing a Cloud scheduling scheme, the project trade-offs of the Cloud architecture should be rated. The simplest manner to rate this infrastructure is to use a simulation tool called CloudSim simulation toolkit. To reduce/avoid SLA violations in the cloud computing system, in our work we propose a SLA reduction framework in which we have considered three steps: Migration control of VMs, Energy efficiency and VmScheduling. It is also implemented in Cloudsimulator.
IoT concept gained tremendous momentum in this century's technological advancements because it has efficiently connected various devices wirelessly. The ESP8266 Wi-Fi serial transceiver module is one ...of the most used devices for IoT applications. This paper designs the IoT-based smart street lighting system using ESP8266 configured as a Mesh network. The ESP8266 was instructed (programmed) to control the light level by producing a PWM signal, then it sends a dimmer value and reads the sensor's data. We can access our system wirelessly via a web server. The overall system was successful as a smart street lighting system in a wireless Mesh environment. This research result is also compared to the existing similar project in terms of the system complexity aspect.
The purpose of this study to analyze genetic algorithm (GA) and simulated an-nealing (SA) based approaches applied to well-known Traveling Salesman Prob-lem (TSP). As a NP-Hard problem, the goal of ...TSP is to find the shortest route possible to travel all the cities, given a set of cities and distances between cities. In order to solve the problem and achieve the optimal solution, all permutations need to be checked, which gets exponentially large as more cities are added. Our aim in this study is to provide comprehensive analysis of TSP solutions based on two methods, GA and SA, in order to find a near optimal solution for TSP. The re-sults of the simulations show that although the SA executed with faster comple-tion times comparing to GA, it took more iterations to find a solution. Additional-ly, GA solutions are significantly more accurate than SA solutions, where GA found a solution in relatively less iterations. The original contribution of this study is that GA based solution as well as SA based solution are developed to perform comprehensive parameter analysis. Further, a quantifiable comparison is provided for the results from each parameter analysis of GA and SA in terms of performance of solving TSP.
The concept of knowledge is an issue that concerns a swarm of scientists. In now days a battery of researches are trying to detect appropriate strategies to improve cognitive and metacognitive ...skills. Since ancient times many questions have been raised about what knowledge is (what we mean when we say that someone knows something or what we attribute to a person who we say knows something) and how we can gain knowledge. Moreover how knowledge and information in general is influenced by its transmission is also an important and widely debated problem, which takes different forms depending on the ways (philosophy) or media (technologies) and the era of transmission. In this article we will try to review the pyramid of knowledge in the process of the years getting started from the era of antiquity by affiliating its data with the musings of the Greek philosophers to prove that all the philosophical prepossessions and theories of the past are timelessness and undisputed.
Feature extraction is an integral part in speech emotion recognition. Some emotions become indistinguishable from others due to high resemblance in their features, which results in low prediction ...accuracy. This paper analyses the impact of spectral contrast feature in increasing the accuracy for such emotions. The RAVDESS dataset has been chosen for this study. The SAVEE dataset, CREMA-D dataset and JL corpus dataset were also used to test its performance over different English accents. In addition to that, EmoDB dataset has been used to study its performance in the German language. The use of spectral contrast feature has increased the prediction accuracy in speech emotion recognition systems to a good degree as it performs well in distinguishing emotions with significant differences in arousal levels, and it has been discussed in detail.

The current paper gives a brief description of the relationship of biomarkers with autistic spectrum disorder, we discuss autism, study the biomarkers which can be traced by medical tests, their ...association with the triggering of autistic behaviors, and finally we discuss how the regulation and balance of these biomarkers could reduce the autistic symptoms.

The ability of attention and working memory are two very important cognitive functions. There is broad agreement that working memory is closely related to attention. There has been a lot of research ...in the past that tries to explain the relationship between the two. So far it seems that their relationship is closely related as well as very significant, while one affects the other. This article outlines several theoretical options for conceptualizing this link and evaluates the views of the authors coming to the same conclusion. Essentially, the purpose of the literature research is to show the interdependence of the two fundamental cognitive functions through mechanisms or daily processes - which require working memory and attention – as well as through neurodevelopmental disorders or diseases. In some of the articles listed, the working memory and attention have been divided into components that help to see the relationship between them too.
Distance learning experiments have been launched since 2010 in several Moroccan universities as part of an experimental approach. It, therefore, seems to us that a strategy must be put in place to ...give this choice of education its place in training and grant it the means necessary to achieve these objectives. The objective of this paper has presented an overview, of free and proprietary e-learning platforms, their functional architectures, as well as the types of e-learning devices that can create from platforms e-learning. To deduce the state of the art of the e-learning provisions of Moroccan universities and compare them with the e-learning provisions of European and American universities.
This paper examines the interaction between metacognition and stress response. Specifically, the main purpose of this study is to trace the interaction between metacognition, ...sympathetic-parasympathetic nervous system and the basic stress-related hormones/neurotransmitters. To achieve this aim, the research seeks to address the following questions: Can metacognition regulate the stress-related hormones and the sympathetic nervous system hyperactivity? How can it contribute to the regulation of uncontrollable stress? What is the role of executive functions? Can metacognition stop the cells and neurons from degeneration and the brain from shrinking? The evidence support the hypothesis that there is a deep relationship between metacognition, stress-related hormones and autonomic nervous system. Therefore, the above finding paves the way for the design of new stress management strategies, which could implemented in family, in school and in workplace. Uncontrollable stress constitutes the “health epidemic” of our century. Mental and mood disorders, premature ageing, cognitive impairments, learning disabilities are some of the stress-related threats. There is an urgent need to focus on resilience in order to cope with stress and to stay in balance.
Recommendation systems are used successfully to provide items (example:
movies, music, books, news, images) tailored to user preferences.
Among the approaches proposed, we use the collaborative ...filtering approach
of finding the information that satisfies the user by using the
reviews of other users. These ratings are stored in matrices that their
sizes increase exponentially to predict whether an item is interesting
or not. The problem is that these systems overlook that an assessment
may have been influenced by other factors which we call the cold start
factor. Our objective is to apply a hybrid approach of recommendation
systems to improve the quality of the recommendation. The advantage
of this approach is the fact that it does not require a new algorithm
for calculating the predictions. We we are going to apply the two Kclosest
neighbor algorithms and the matrix factorization algorithm of
collaborative filtering which are based on the method of (singular value
decomposition).
