Context: After introducing ‘Treat all policy’ in the country and free ART (Anti-retroviral therapy) for all patients the biggest challenge is to optimize adherence to therapy and ensure viral ...suppression. The present study is aimed to determine the adherence pattern of HIV positive patients at ART center, Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh and to determine the factors influencing adherence.
Methods and Material: This cross-sectional study was conducted in an ART Centre of a teaching hospital. In this study 357 patients were interviewed using a modified version of ACTG questionnaire and adherence was calculated by pill count and recall method. Chi square test and logistic regression was done using SPSS.
Results: Nearly 72% patients had optimum adherence. On univariate analysis the factors found significant were sex of the patient, the education, the socioeconomic status, financial constraints, family support, WHO stage at diagnosis, alcohol addiction and tobacco addiction. On logistic regression four factors namely having less than college education, WHO stage at diagnosis, alcohol intake and lack of family support were found to predictors of non-adherence.
Conclusions: Family support, treatment of alcohol addiction will improve adherence in HIV positive patients.
Cutaneous adverse drug reactions are very common and seen quite often during clinical practice. It is difficult to get a comprehensive list of the various types of drug reactions and their ...corresponding drug due to many cases going unreported. There is a possibility of a cutaneous drug reaction every time a new drug is introduced into the market. While most types of drug reactions are trivial and benign, there is always a possibility of the reaction attaining a more malignant nature. The diagnosis of a CADR is more often based on a clinical examination. However, in order to understand the full scope of the reaction it must be reported and studied. The pharmacovigilance programme takes into account the spontaneous nature of the cases and employs alogical approach based on clinical characteristics, chronologic factors, and generation of a focused differential diagnosis. Using study tools like Naranjo scale and Modified Hartwig and Siegel scale, a physician can easily determine the severity and causality of the drug reaction. After compiling the data, one can determine the trend of the morphology of these CADRs, and determine the most likely drug responsible for the reaction. The data obtained in this study is useful for helping the clinician in the proper identification, approach and treatment of a patient suffering from a cutaneous adverse rug reaction.
The prevalence of infertility in China is high, but the advent of assisted reproduction technology (ART) has greatly eased this situation. Social media, such as WeChat official accounts, have become ...the preferred tool for ART centers to communicate with patients, but their attention and operational status differ, and the Internet influence of WeChat official accounts is insufficient. In addition, questions about whether Internet influence is consistent with academic influence and whether the Internet can influence patients' choice of medical treatment to a certain extent have not been explored.
This study aimed to examine the operational status and Internet influence of WeChat official accounts for ART centers and to explore the degree of Internet influence on patients' choices of medical treatment.
We collected information from the WeChat official accounts for ART centers approved by the National Health Commission of the People's Republic of China and used the technique for order of preference by similarity to ideal solution to build an Internet influence model of the ART centers and obtained a Ranking of Internet Influence on Reproductive Centers (RIIRC) for each center.
We found there were 451 ART centers throughout the country by the end of 2016 and 498 by the end of 2018. The number of medical institutions is quite large, but their distribution is uneven, and their level of medical technical ability is very different. Analysis of the text data of posts of WeChat official accounts showed the ART centers have insufficient awareness of network exposure and publicity, and the RIIRC of some medical institutions was inconsistent with their medical level and academic status.
ART institutions have varying degrees of emphasis and use of WeChat official accounts in China. They fail to realize that the Internet influence of WeChat may bring them potential patient resources and that Internet influence may affect the future market structure of ART and may also potentially affect academic rankings.
Los centros de arte contemporáneo son considerados piezas motoras de transformación urbana, lo que se ha constatado en numerosas ciudades de todo el mundo. El objetivo de este artículo es analizar el ...Centro Nacional de Arte Contemporáneo Cerrillos (CNACC), como motor de transformación de la ciudad. Se trata de una investigación cualitativa y descriptiva que analiza un caso único de tipo institucional. Para la recolección de información se despliega una estrategia multimétodo: análisis de documentación histórica, análisis planimétrico urbano y arquitectónico y estudio etnográfico. Como resultado se presentan los aspectos centrales de la historia del edificio y del sector, la relación del Centro con la ciudad, se caracteriza la edificación y se reporta la experiencia de los habitantes. Luego se establece la capacidad del CNACC para operar como motor de transformación a partir de cinco elementos: conectividad, legibilidad, accesibilidad, recorridos y permanencias, y flexibilidad. Se concluye que el Centro Nacional de Arte Contemporáneo Cerrillos cuenta con las condiciones estructurales o de base que le otorgan el potencial necesario para llegar a constituirse en un motor de transformación de la ciudad.
Bu araştırmanın amacı, ortaokul düzeyi Bilim ve Sanat Merkezi (BİLSEM) öğrencilerinin uzaktan eğitime yönelik algılarını metaforlar aracılığıyla ortaya koymaktır. Bu amaçla öğrencilere “Uzaktan ...eğitim … gibidir; çünkü …” cümlesi sunularak tamamlamaları istenmiştir. Araştırma 2022 yılının ikinci yarısında farklı illerden ortaokul düzeyindeki 152 BİLSEM öğrencisi ile tamamlanmıştır. Uygun örnekleme yoluyla katılımcı belirleme tekniğinin benimsendiği çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden olgubilim (fenomenoloji) deseni kullanılmıştır. Yapılan içerik analizi sonucunda uzaktan eğitim sürecinin BİLSEM öğrencilerinde oluşturduğu duygu, düşünce ve eleştirilerin hangi metaforlarla ortaya koyuldukları belirlenmiştir. Metafor ifadelerinin olumlu ve olumsuz yönde seyretmesine dayanılarak metaforlar “Dezavantajlarıyla Uzaktan Eğitim” ve “Avantajlarıyla Uzaktan Eğitim” olmak üzere cevaplanma yüzdelik oranları sırasına göre iki ana temada toplanmıştır. Dezavantajlarıyla uzaktan eğitim ana teması kavramsal olarak “Sıkıcı Özellikleriyle Uzaktan Eğitim”, “Zorlayıcı Yönleriyle Uzaktan Eğitim”, “Örtemediği Eksikliklerle Uzaktan Eğitim”, “Yapaylıktan Uzaklaşamayan Uzaktan Eğitim” ve “Belirsizlik Hissi Yaşatmasıyla Uzaktan Eğitim” alt temalarına ayrılmıştır. Avantajlarıyla uzaktan eğitim teması ise “Okul Görevini Üstlenen Uzaktan Eğitim”, “Sağlıklı Kalabilme Aracı Uzaktan Eğitim”, “Faydalı Yönleriyle Uzaktan Eğitim” ve “Eğlence Kaynağı Uzaktan Eğitim” olmak üzere alt temalara ayrılmıştır. Farklı sınıf seviyelerinde ve farklı yetenek özelliklerinde bulunan BİLSEM öğrencilerinin uzaktan eğitim sürecinde derinden etkilendikleri ve bu süreçle baş etmede büyük çaba göstermek durumunda kaldıkları aktarılan metaforlar aracılığıyla görülmüştür. Aynı zamanda öğrencilerin zorunlu olarak tercih edilen acil uzaktan eğitime karşı zıt yönlerde seyredebilen algı ve tutumlar geliştirdiklerine yönelik izlenim edinilmiştir.
El objetivo del artículo es reflexionar sobre el lugar del arte contemporáneo. Se propone revisar diferentes definiciones de museos y centros de arte, así como múltiples tipologías arquitectónicas ...vinculadas. Una vez abierto el horizonte de significaciones, se pasa a distintas reflexiones sobre las relaciones entre los conceptos de lugar y arte contemporáneo. Más adelante, se despliega una estrategia metodológica multidisciplinaria y multimétodo que permite el estudio de cinco casos de obras arquitectónicas emblemáticas destinadas al arte contemporáneo en Santiago de Chile, donde se muestra el resultado de diversos factores en función de cuatro dimensiones: histórica, urbana, arquitectónica y sociocultural. En la discusión se analizan los principales factores a considerar tanto en el análisis como en la proyectación de obras arquitectónicas destinadas al arte contemporáneo. Se concluye con la síntesis de con-ceptos que llevan a una definición del lugar del arte contemporáneo.
The history of the reception of contemporary Japanese music at the Darmstädter Ferienkurse began in the mid 1950s. Relations between Darmstadt and Japan intensified in 1961, thanks to the efforts of ...Bernhard Großmann (1929-2013), director of the German Cultural Institute in Tokyo, and Yoshida Hidekazu (1913-2012), director of the Nijūsēki ongaku kenkyūjo (Twentieth-Century Music Laboratory). Together with Wolfgang Steinecke at IMD, the three organized special performances of works by Japanese composers at the Ferienkurse in 1963 and shared scores, recordings, pamphlets, and programs from contemporary music festivals. Drawing from material preserved in IMD’s archive, the author examines the communications pertaining to the Ferienkurse during the Steinecke and Thomas eras.
This article examines one of the works created in the collaborative milieu of the Sōgetsu Art Center: Tōru Takemitsu’s film music for Otoshiana (1962), also known in English as Pitfall or Cheap, ...Sweet and a Kid. It is Hiroshi Teshigahara’s (1927 - 2001) first full-length film, a documentary fantasy that is also the first Japanese movie to be distributed by the Art Theater Guild (ATG), a network that has supported independent cinema since 1961. The music for Otoshiana (1962) differs from Takemitsu’s earlier film music, where he applied genres such as the Charleston, jazz, blues, and Latin American rhythms. Musically, Otoshiana is distinguished by its use of the cembalo and two pianos, one of which is prepared and the other used for inside-piano techniques. It is considered the first work in which Takemitsu applied the prepared piano, and is exemplary of Takemitsu’s tendency to use various techniques to create new sounds. What also gives this work a particular stance is that it is composed and performed in collaboration with Toshi Ichiyanagi and Yūji Takahashi. Through the author’s interview with Yūji Takahashi and with reference to Yūji Takahashi’s recently completed Otoshiana music timetable, which resulted from correspondence between the composer and the author, the article revises the sources on Otoshiana’s music and further analyzes the characteristics of the work. Moreover, it highlights the collaboration of the three musicians and emphasizes Takemitsu’s role as music director, composer, and performer.
U ovom se članku ispituje jedno od djela stvorenih u suradničkom krugu Umjetničkog centra Sōgetsu – filmska glazba Tōru Takemitsua za film Otoshiana (1962.), poznatom pod engleskim nazivom Pitfall ili Cheap, Sweet and a Kid. To je prvi cjelovečernji film Hiroshija Teshigahare (1927. – 2001.), dokumentarna fantazija koja je istodobno i prvi japanski film što ga je distribuirao Art Theater Guild (ATG), mreža koja je podupirala neovisnu kinematografiju od 1961. nadalje.
Glazba za film Otoshiana (1962.) razlikuje se od Takemitsuove ranije filmske glazbe gdje je upotrebljavao žanrove poput charlestona, jazza, bluesa i latino-američkih ritmova. Glazbeno se Otoshiana odlikuje uporabom čembala i dvaju klavira, od kojih je jedan preparirani a drugi upotrebljava klaviru imanentne tehnike. Smatra se prvim djelom u kojem je Takemitsu upotrijebio preparirani klavir i primjer je Takemitsuove tendencije da upotrebljava razne tehnike za stvaranje novih zvukova. Ono što također daje ovom djelu osobitu notu jest to da je skladano i izvedeno u suradnji s Toshijem Ichiyanagijem i Yūjijem Takahashijem.
Putem autoričinog intervjua s Yūjijem Takahashijem i s obzirom na njegovu nedavno dovršenu glazbenu satnicu Otoshiane, koja je proizašla iz korespondencije između skladatelja i autorice, članak revidira izvore za glazbu filma Otoshiana i dalje analizira karakteristike ovoga djela. Štoviše, u članku se ističe suradnja trojice glazbenika i naglašava Takemitsuova uloga glazbenog ravnatelja, skladatelja i izvođača.
The purpose of this study is to determine the views of students attending Science and Art Centers (SAC) about Socratic research seminars. This qualitative study was conducted with nine undergraduate ...students. Individual interviews were conducted with students after the seminars, which spanned 10 weeks, about their opinions of the seminars. As a result of the content analysis, it was found that students rated the Socratic research process as a process in which they can freely express their thoughts, have a scientific experience that contributes to their development, individual differences come out, a good method is used for the development of the discussion, questions and discussions about science are held. In addition, students believe that at the end of the seminars, they can ask better questions both quantitatively and qualitatively, change their ideas, question themselves, develop their sense of curiosity, emphatically respond to different opinions and make philosophical inquiries.
