Ljubljana, 2 March: A leading Slovenian entrepreneur has suggested that couples who do not have children should pay a special tax for doing a disservice to Slovenian demographics. In his Slovenian ...version of the one-child policy - which is distinctively different to the Chinese policy - Ivo Boscarol says it should be the goal for all Slovenian couples to have at least one child. Boscarol first mentioned the new tax at Friday's meeting hosted by Slovenian MEP Lojze Peterle. In January, Peterle launched a series of monthly "European meetings" with politicians, scientists and artists to discuss contemporary problems.
