This paper examines different ways of using audiovisual materials in the Celje Museum of Recent History. It also explores the term museological film - although it does not yet exist as a special ...genre. However, museum curators dealing with audiovisual materials in the course of their daily work do identify certain characteristics that distinguish museological films from, for example, documentaries or from ethnographic films.
The Periadriatic Line (PAL) is a remarkable, several hundred kilometer long fault system of the Alpine orogen. Its dextral character was documented by several authors using diverse criteria, but ...detailed kinematics and timing of movements had not been investigated along its whole length. Structural and paleomagnetic measurements, mapping, and stratigraphic and sedimentological studies have helped to unravel the Miocene‐Pliocene evolution of the Slovenian segment of the PAL. Brittle deformation was characterized by NW‐SE to N‐S compression and perpendicular tension. Deformation has resulted in dextral strike‐slip faulting, folding, and tilting of beds. The first transpressional event corresponds to the first phase of lateral extrusion of the East Alpine‐Western Carpathian‐Northern Pannonian block in the early Miocene (24–17.5 Ma). After a short period of transtension during the Karpatian (17.5–16.5 Ma), dextral transpression reoccurred during the middle Miocene to Pliocene and lasted up to the Quaternary. Middle Miocene dextral slip can be connected to the second phase of extrusion. The highly deformed rocks within the dextral shear zones show variable clockwise, sometimes counterclockwise, rotations. The mechanism of rotation seems to be complex, ranging from regional rotation to local folding due to pure or simple shear (domino‐type rotation).
Article deals with graffiti as a visual element of urban space. In the article, the main locations with graffiti in Celje are discussed. The purpose of the study was to examine locations of the ...graffiti in Celje, with the aim to determine the impact of graffiti to the urban space of Celje. On these locations noticeable graffiti can be found - they appear in various colors and styles. This special type of graffiti, subcultural graffiti (also writing), is the most common type of graffiti in Celje. The author gathered information about graffiti from graffiti artists and from residents of Celje. There is an emphasis on noticeability of graffiti from point of view of the residents.
Background:Vaccination against hepatitis B has been obligatory for Slovenian health care workers since 1989, because the risk for hepatitis B infection is greater among health care workers compared ...to other professional groups or general population. We wanted to obtain data about vaccination of health care workers and their management treatment regarding hepatitis B in the Celje region. Methods: We carried out a retrospective crosssectional survey at the Department of Epidemiology of the Institute of Public Health Celje during 2010 and 2011. The aim of the survey was to estimate vaccination coverage of health care workers, employed in the Celje region. At that time there were 4,763 registered employees in the Celje Database of Health Care Workers, who received a structured questionnaire. Cooperation in the study was voluntary, as health care workers themselves fulfilled and sent the questionnaire back to the Institute of Public Health Celje. We analysed the data with Epi Info, version 3.5.1 and we proved statistical significance with the chi-square test. For in-depth analysis, we used multivariate logistic regression method. Statistical significance was determined at p < 0,05.Results: Response rate reached 45 %; we received 2,123 completed questionnaires. 79 % of the cooperating health care workers reported having been vaccinated against hepatitis B with three or four doses of vaccine, 21 % reported not having been vaccinated or beeing vaccinated with less than three doses. Vaccination coverage was the highest among those who were employed in home care for adults (87 %) and in private dental clinics (86.5 %), doctors of dental medicine (90 %) and among graduated medical workers and nurses (88 %). Injuries with sharp objects, which could have been the cause of infection with hepatitis B, were mentioned by 40 % of respondents. Conclusions:All exposed health care workers in the Celje region are not vaccinated against hepatitis B, although it is required by the risk assessment of their workplace. For this reason, we should strive towards achieving higher vaccination coverage among health care workers. It would be necessary to implement periodical examinations of antibody titre among health care workers with the highest exposure who have not been protected after primary vaccination.
Teharje kosezi community enjoyed a particular legal status which it successfully preserved until the abolishment of feudalism in 1848. Thus the community had its own first-instance judiciary for ...civil cases, performed its obligations, corvee exempt, to the lord and the state collectively, kosezi could sell their land without hindrance, had the right to bear arms, freely elect the sodin and the mayors of their zupas. Such legal status, obtained through manorial service under the margraviate of Celje, was founded on the privilege issued by the lord. The oldest privilege preserved, issued by Ferdinand I. of Habsburg, dates to 1537. Tribunal had its sub judicial area that included, aside from Teharje settlement, sixteen kosezi settlements in Savinjska valley. Representatives of all settlements gathered once a year around St. George's Day (April 23rd) on the day of sodin elections that had to be confirmed by either the vidame in Celje or the leaser of Forhtenek manor. The function of the tribunal itself can be made out from its preserved tribunal register for the period from 1715 to 1849 where most entries date between 1715 and 1718. During this time, the register lists 68 cases, predominantly unsettled debts, whereas handled by the tribunal were verbal injuries (verbal iniuri), corporal injuries, and disputes on inheritance. As a rule, proceedings took place monthly in the center of Teharje settlement or, in case of poor weather, the nearby church of St. Stephen.
Sophocles’s Antigone has a rich and unique history of being performed on Slovenian professional stages for over a century. It began with the unsuccessful performance directed by Hinko Nučič in the ...Drama Ljubljana in 1912. It continued with Fran Lipah’s popular production in the same theatre on the eve of World War II. After the war, the Celje City Theatre took the lead in staging the tragedy; in fact, it was the only Slovenian professional theatre to stage it, first in 1956 (dir. Herbert Grün), then in 1973 (dir. Franci Križaj), and most recently in 2011 (dir. Anđelka Nikolić). The main reason for the odd absence of Sophocles’s Antigone on other Slovenian professional stages was probably the extraordinary popularity of Smole’s play by the same title, which was staged no less than eight times over this period. In addition, Sophocles was also ousted by the (rarer) staging of other modern Antigones (Dušan Jovanović, Miro Gavran, Janusz Głowacki). However, the last decade has seen revived interest in Sophocles’s version (and, at the same time, declining interest in staging Smole, which confirms our speculation that they compete for a place in the programme). Following the critically well-received production directed by A. Nikolić, the year 2013 was the first to see two productions, one in the Ljubljana City Theatre (play reading, dir. Ira Ratej) and the other in the Ljubljana Puppet Theatre (dir. Marko Čeh). Lastly, in 2017, Antigone also made a striking return to SNT Drama Ljubljana (dir. Eduard Miler). The article gives an overview of all these productions and evaluates them by drawing on their reception by contemporary critics and later theatre historians.
Srečamo jih v glavnem v večjih, predvsem mestnih naseljih, na nekaterih premožnejših hišah na podeželju in le na redkih pokopališčih. Članek predstavi nekaj balkonskih, stopniščnih, uličnih in vrtnih ograj dunajske livarne R. Ph.
