Originally a small market town in Northern Hungary, Sárospatak (Patak) deserves attention for more than just the role it played in a series of historical events that were to define the future of this ...country throughout the 17th18th centuries. The cultural, educational and musical legacy of the period is also outstanding, and the functioning of the Patak College (Pataki Kollégium), which soon gained considerable prestige, played a key part in this. The aim of this paper is to present the musical aspects of this most valuable set of interconnected cultural assets.
Resumo: Trata-se de uma investigação que, à luz da história cultural, busca compreender cinco eventos ocorridos no Brasil nos anos 1920: Conferência Interestadual do Ensino Primário (Brasil, 1922); ...Congresso de Ensino Primário e Normal (Paraná, 1926); Primeiro Congresso de Instrução Primária (Minas Gerais, 1927a); Primeira Conferência Estadual do Ensino Primário (Santa Catarina, 1927); Primeira Conferência Nacional de Educação (1927), promovida por intermédio da Associação Brasileira de Educação. Como hipótese investigativa, apresenta-se a seguinte questão: que representações são possíveis de serem interpretadas acerca do campo educacional brasileiro nos ritos e nas materialidades das conferências e dos congressos ocorridos nos anos 1920? O percurso teórico-metodológico circundou referenciais da história cultural, considerando os conceitos de cultura material e representação.
Since its first issue, of January 1, 1936, the Însemnri ieene Notes from Jassy Magazine (1936-1940) has emphasized the orientation of a group of intellectuals that aimed to continue the tradition of ...the literary, cultural and scientific circles from Moldavia, with a focus on a series of ideas related to national specificity, popular language, cultural unification. For almost five years, the magazine polarized intellectuals from all over Moldavia and had an intense program of dissemination of the Romanian culture through the organization of itinerant conferences in the cities of Jassy, Tighina, Kishinev, Soroca and Balti. The September 1, 1940 issue of the magazine was dedicated to Bessarabia and Bukovina and was remarkable for its spiritual Romanian essence. The present paper dwells on the importance of this special issue of the magazine, which deal swith a number of representative topics announced by the article titles such as: Basarabia pân la 1812 Bessarabia until1812, Viaa româneasc în Basarabia (1812-1918) Romanian Life in Bessarabia (1812-1918), Mrturii moldoveneti la Nistru Moldavian Testimonies on the Dniester River, Basarabia provincie istoric ruseasc? BessarabiaRussian Historical Province?, Universitatea din Cernui The University of Chernivtsi, A doua pierdere a Bucovineii Basarabiei The Second Loss of Bukovina and Bessarabia, Iar vremuri de bejanie, New Times of Turmoil,i totui, nu dezndjduim! And Yet, We Do Not Despair! and many more. This unique issue was illustrated with numerous images from Bessarabia and Northern Bukovina, as well as with portraits of cultural personalities born in the Romanian land between the Prut and Dniester rivers, all meant to discuss and emphasize the national identity of Romanians through culture.

Without doubt, one of the most outstanding piece of the goliard poetry is the anonymous poem which nowadays become known as Phyllis et Flora (Altercatio Phyllidis et Florae). It was preserved to us ...in many manuscripts, whose each one contains parts of diff erent length of this poem. One of these copies especially diff ers from any of others: it preserves a complete poem that begins with the eight initial stanzas of the original poem, and continues with seven new-composed stanzas until its end. After the discovery of this manuscript, it become part of the tradition of the poem although it was considered just as a very corrupt witness of the poem’s fi rst eight stanzas. However, in the recent past, thanks to a lucky occasion, it was discovered a second copy of this variant poem, transcribed at the same period as the already known one. Th e new discovery fundamentally changes our relation to the variant: the new copy has made it obvious, that this is not a peculiar composition of the fantasy of its scribe, but a self-suffi cient late variant of the original poem, which had been supposedly more widespread, than its traces testify. Not only the radical alteration of its length, but – due to its late construction – that of its content and thought is also remarkable.
Gjatë zhvillimit të tij evolucionar, njerëzimi lëvizi në drejtime të ndryshme të kushtëzuara kryesisht nga faktorë natyrorë, duke krijuar ngadalë por me siguri qytetërimet e para - kulturat e Lindjes ...së Lashtë të cilat, përmes Kretës dhe Mikenës, do të rezultonin në kulturën Greke dhe Romake (antike) si themele të civilizimit evropian. Do të jetë themeli që do të qëndrojë si bazament i shtëpisë sonë - Duklës, Zetës dhe Malit të Zi, në historinë e saj të vështirë dhe të pasur shumë shekullore. Lufta për liri (vetëm një njeri i lirë është një njeri i lumtur) dhe identiteti personal në një zonë historikisht “të lëkundur”, do të rezultojë në ndikime të ndryshme civilizuese, fetare, kombëtare, kulturore, duke krijuar një pasuri të diversitetit. Kështu, falë mbijetesës edhe më të vështirë dhe këmbëngulëse të Malit të Zi gjatë shekujve, e kaluara e vështirë do të rezultojë në frytet më të bukura, multikulturalizmin e civilizimit të tij, i cili është dhe sot tipari më i bukur i botës moderne. Duke u ndodhur dhe gjeografikisht në qendër të civilizimit – Mesdheu, Mediterraneum (Media - qendër; Terra - vend) si vend i vogël ku do të “puthen” civilizime të ndryshme - Greke, Romake, Bizantine, Osmane, Venedikase, Evropiane moderne - duke krijuar një peizazh kulturorë të pazakontë dhe unik. Bashkësitë e pakicave, kryesisht autoktone, me karakteristikat e tyre, janë pjesë e pasurisë së saj kulturore, përkatësisht historisë së saj kulturore. Prandaj, ky projekt i ka vendosur vetes qëllimin që përmes njohjes me segmentet e ndryshme të trashëgimisë kulturore materiale dhe jomateriale të pakicave te Malit të Zi, të tregojë vlerën e tyre në mbushjen e siperfaqes së rrethit te përgjithshëm të historisë kulturore malazeze. Kjo nevojë tregohet si e domosdoshme, veçanërisht nëse kemi parasysh përhapjen e ekstremizmit fetar dhe kombëtar, dëshmitarët e të cilit jemi në tri dekadat e fundit. Kështu, kufijtë e njerëzëve, për fat të keq, bëhen kufij midis njerëzve. Por kufijtë janë aty për t’u kaluar, apo jo? Abuzimi i fakteve, të historisë së përgjithshme si dhe asaj kulturore, e përdor larminë si bazë për kundërshtim, e jo për pasuri dhe harmoni. “Mendjet dembele” të cilat nuk munden dhe nuk dinë ta vërejnë peizazhin e rrallë të pasurive kulturore të Malit të Zi (bazës dhe pakicave) e shohin atë si një problem, në vend që ta shohin si një thesar që duhet të ruhet, zhvillohet dhe ushqehet, ndër të tjera, nga të tilla projekte. Sfidat në zhvillimin e tyre janë të shumta, gjë që kërkon planifikim studimor, qasje multiperspektive ndaj temave, të cilat ndjekin fakte historike të konfirmuara nga burime historike, kronologji të qartë dhe precize me mjete adekuate metodologjike dhe arsimore, duke respektuar parimet pedagogjike dhe psikologjike. Gjatë punës disa mujore në projekt, nga planifikimi deri tek zbatimi i segmenteve të ndryshme, unë veçanërisht do të doja të theksoja pjesën në të cilën fituesit e përzgjedhur pranuan sugjerimet e dhëna për përmirësimin e përgatitjeve, në përputhje me rekomandimet e listuara tashmë. Kështu, fjalët bashkëpunim dhe respekt reciprok u bënë baza e të gjithë projektit, nëpërmjet përgatitjeve dhe temave të ndryshme pati synimin për të qenë udhëzues dhe ndihmë për edukatorët e shkencave humane sociale në vendin tonë me mesazhin “Mali i Zi është kopsht parajsor ku puthen civilizime të ndryshme.”
The aim of this paper is to highlight and briefly discuss some of the most problematic terms and concepts that recur in art historiography: for example, the words Byzantine, post-Byzantine, Eastern, ...Western and Local. These concepts are used in a misleading way not only by American and Western European authors, but also by Eastern and South-Eastern European ones: in fact, the “Balkan” art historiography based itself on the Western-European one, adopting its periodisation, terminology and interpretative framework, which led to a number of methodological problems that researchers are now trying to identify, discuss and, if possible, solve.
The article draws upon the reading of “Western” travelogues from the Ottoman Empire that describe cultural contacts in the early modern era more or less openly in terms of purity and impurity. What ...does this reading observation mean? It means: whosoever explores concepts of purity and impurity explores an exclusive pattern of meaningfully interpreting the world that serves to convey ambiguity into unambiguity. A pattern that I would like to call a cultural code. The hypothesis of this article is: purity as a cultural code is an invention of the (European) early modern era. Or, expressed slightly differently: it is only in the early modern era that purity becomes the “white ribbon“ that points order in the “right“ direction. The following fields of inquiry will play a special role here: the victory march of the principle of ethical purity since the late Middle Ages; genesis and raising the profile of confessional cultures; and, not least, naturalization and biologization of lineage.
The historical Serbian Orthodox cemeteries have a multi-faceted value in the construction and cultural-historical heritage of Sarajevo. The Old Cemetery in Carina and the Holy Archangels Michael and ...Gabriel Cemetery in Koševo with the Vidovdan Heroes Chapel are the spatial testimonies to social and urban development. The Chapel and gravestones are the spiritual and material heritage of Sarajevo’s Serbs in the historical context of duration and belonging. These guardians of individual and collective memories of the people and events of the past times are an invaluable and reliable cornerstone of the reception of national history and cultural identity of the city.
