This article presents aspects of the leadership of a Thai music band, connecting with the theory of leadership in order to describe the phenomena and answer the author’s question “Why is the Ranad-Ek ...player obligatory to have a leadership ?” and “How are the music and the leadership related?” Data were collected by documents, research and interviewing Thai music experts to create a conclusion linking to the author’s views and illustrate some examples of situations. The author hopes that this article will serve as useful information for the field of Thai music and Ranad-Ek player.
Why Noncompliance traces the history of noncompliance within the European Union (EU), focusing on which states continuously do or do not follow EU Law, why, and how that affects the governance in the ...EU and beyond. n exploring the EU's long and varied history of noncompliance, Tanja A. Börzel takes a close look at the diverse groups of noncompliant states throughout the EU's existence. Why do states that are vocally critical of the EU have a better record of compliance than those that support the EU? Why has noncompliance been declining since the 1990s, even though the EU was adding member-states and numerous laws? Börzel debunks conventional wisdoms in EU compliance research, showing that noncompliance in the EU is not caused by the new Central and Eastern European member states, nor by the Eurosceptic member states. So why do these states take the brunt of Europe's misplaced ire? Why Noncompliance introduces politicization as an explanatory factor that has been long overlooked in the literature and scholarship surrounding the European Union. Börzel argues that political controversy combined with voting power and administrative capacity, explains why noncompliance with EU law has been declining since the completion of the Single Market, cannot be blamed on the EU's Central and Easter European member states, and is concentrated in areas where EU seeks to protect citizen rights.

The study examines the role of green transformational leadership (GTL) in fostering pro-environmental behaviors (PEBs) through green human resource management (GHRM). In addition, a moderating role of environmental knowledge is also investigated. The partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) technique is employed to test the hypothesized relationships. The findings revealed the significance of GTL in predicting employees' PEBs through the mediating role of GHRM. Further, the moderating role of environmental knowledge is also confirmed. This study presents a thorough and synergistic comprehension of the process through which PEBs can be promoted. In doing so, the study offers a deeper understanding of the interconnected mechanisms that promote PEBs and eventually guide organizational practice.
Cheung Ek Lake is the biggest wastewater lake inside Phnom Penh City and has massive water and nutrient inflow. Around 70 % of rain runoff and wastewater in Phnom Penh flows into Cheung Ek Lake ...through three main canals: Trabek Canal, Stung Meanchey Canal, and Lou Pram Canal, before discharging into the Bassac River. Since 2008, the rapid urbanization of the satellite city in Phnom Penh has decreased the area of the lake and contributed to the degradation of the lake's water quality. Cheung Ek Lake performs many functions such as flood control, natural wastewater treatment, and provision of water for vegetable production. Previous studies identified the positive and negative impact of lake water on the local ecosystem and human livelihoods. The aim of the current study was to monitor seasonal changes in water quality in Cheung Ek Lake, Cambodia. Additionally, the objectives of this study were to (i) analyze the changes in water quality parameters in the rainy season and the dry season and (ii) describe daily and hourly changes in phosphate (PO43-) concentration in the lake. For that, selected chemical parameters such as pH, electroconductivity (EC), phosphate, nitrate (NO3-), iron (Fe2+), and dissolved oxygen (DO) were measured in the rainy and dry seasons. In addition, phosphate (PO43-) was analyzed hourly for a week in the dry season. The water samples were collected at 3 points: inlet, middle, and outlet of the lake, at a depth of 0.5 m. Water samples were analyzed in situ using a spectrophotometer. The decreased values of EC, NO3-, PO43-, and Fe2+ from inlet to outlet show that the lake has the potential to reduce the nutrient level in both seasons. Phosphate increases at 10 am, 1 pm, and 7 pm indicated that water quality was remarkably affected by daily rush hours of household activities. This further suggested that household activities could be the main sources of the presence of a high concentration of PO43- in the lake.
Photoionization of chiral molecules by circularly polarized radiation gives rise to a strong forward/backward asymmetry in the photoelectron angular distribution, referred to as photoelectron ...circular dichroism (PECD). Here we show that PECD is a universal effect that reveals the inherent chirality of the target in all ionization regimes: single photon, multiphoton, above-threshold and tunnel ionization. These different regimes provide complementary spectroscopic information at electronic and vibrational levels. The universality of the PECD can be understood in terms of a classical picture of the ionizing process, in which electron scattering on the chiral potential under the influence of a circularly polarized electric field results in a strong forward/backward asymmetry.

Purpose of Review
Fabry Disease (FD) is a rare lysosomal storage disorder characterised by multiorgan accumulation of glycosphingolipid due to deficiency in the enzyme α-galactosidase A. Cardiac ...sphingolipid accumulation triggers various types of arrhythmias, predominantly ventricular arrhythmia, bradyarrhythmia, and atrial fibrillation. Arrhythmia is likely the primary contributor to FD mortality with sudden cardiac death, the most frequent cardiac mode of death. Traditionally FD was seen as a storage cardiomyopathy triggering left ventricular hypertrophy, diastolic dysfunction, and ultimately, systolic dysfunction in advanced disease. The purpose of this review is to outline the current evidence exploring novel mechanisms underlying the arrhythmia substrate.
Recent Findings
There is growing evidence that FD cardiomyopathy is a primary arrhythmic disease with each stage of cardiomyopathy (accumulation, hypertrophy, inflammation, and fibrosis) contributing to the arrhythmia substrate via various intracellular, extracellular, and environmental mechanisms. It is therefore important to understand how these mechanisms contribute to an individual’s risk of arrhythmia in FD.
Summary
In this review, we outline the epidemiology of arrhythmia, pathophysiology of arrhythmogenesis, risk stratification, and cardiac therapy in FD. We explore how advances in conventional cardiac investigations performed in FD patients including 12-lead electrocardiography, transthoracic echocardiography, and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging have enabled early detection of pro-arrhythmic substrate. This has allowed for appropriate risk stratification of FD patients. This paves the way for future work exploring the development of therapeutic initiatives and risk prediction models to reduce the burden of arrhythmia.
Gambang Semarang is one of Indonesia’s traditional music which has an instrument made of wood, namely gambang (xylophone). Thai Pi Phat Ensemble has a Gambang-like instrument called Ranat Ek. In the ...presentation, each of these instruments certainly has a playing pattern that is characteristic of the music itself. This study aims to identify and describe the pattern of traditional music playing in the Gambang Semarang, especially the Gambang instrument and the traditional music of Thai Pi Phat Ensemble, especially the Ranat Ek instrument. The research method used is qualitative with a musicological approach. Data collection techniques were carried out by using observation, interviews, document studies, and Focused Group Discussions. Data analysis was carried out with the stages of data reduction, data classification, and concluding. The results show that the playing pattern of the Gambang instrument in the Gambang Semarang music contains two types of playing patterns, namely sekaran Nglagu and cengkok ajeg. While the playing pattern of the Ranat Ek instrument in the Pi Phat Ensemble consists of kan ti kro, kan ti kep, kan ti siao mue, kan ti sado, and kan ti sabat. The two instruments have similarities and differences in playing patterns which are most likely due to differences in functions and roles in group play.
Research on electrokinetics-permeable reactive barrier (EK-PRB) remediation to date has mainly focused on homogeneous soils or soils with micro-scale heterogeneities. The potential impact of ...macro-scale physical heterogeneities, such as stratified layers or lenses, on EK-PRB remediation has not received much attention. This study investigates the effect of a low permeability stratum on EK-PRB remediation of hexavalent chromium (Cr(VI)). Sandbox experiments were conducted to treat Cr(VI)-contaminated kaolinite/sand media, consisting of vertically-layered high permeability (HPZ) and low permeability zones (LPZ), where distance between LPZ and anode (DLA) was 3, 9, or 15 cm. Parameters including current, moisture content (MC), pH, and removal of Cr(VI) were evaluated. With 72 h of EK-PRB treatment, tests with larger DLA (15 cm) had greater Cr(VI) migration from contaminated area to modified-zeolite PRB. Cr(VI), Cr(III), and Cr(Total) removal and energy utilization efficiency followed the trend as: DLA-15 > DLA-9 > DLA-3. MC generally decreased from anode towards cathode and pH was alkaline in all the zones for DLA-3 and DLA-15. In DLA-9 (LPZ in the middle), MC increased and pH was alkaline in HPZs near cathode whereas HPZs near anode were very dry (MC < 1%) and acidic (pH < 5.5). Our results show that the location of LPZ relative to electrode locations has a significant influence on Cr(VI) removal efficiency and macro-scale physical heterogeneity is an important factor to be considered during EK-PRB remediation.
