The transformation of existing infrastructure into smart cities cannot ignore the smart management of the parking systems. The cities with high population density (Metro cities inclusive) ...specifically face the problem of finding the nearest available parking space. The rising number of vehicles daily makes this problem more severe that questions the safety of vehicles as well. In this study, the issue of finding parking spaces in smart cities is addressed using an IoT-based methodology. The proposed Intelligent Parking System (IPS) consists of an IoT framework that collects real-time data, send it to the cloud, and thereby suggests to the user a suitable place for parking the vehicle at a nearby location. As a component of the framework, a mobile application has been developed that enables users to check the availability of nearby parking spots and subsequently reserve a parking place. This paper also describes different use-cases of a person for finding a parking space and parking it in right place. The proposed system has been implemented using Raspberry Pi, NodeMCU, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), and Infrared (IR) sensors. The results discussed in the later sections support the usability of this IPS.
Managers of universities have a responsibility to ensure that parking is available for all stakeholders, particularly students. When there is not enough parking space for the quantity of vehicles ...arriving, issues occur. Consequently, the atmosphere was no longer favorable due to the pandemonium of vehicles that had taken over. This research's objective is to create a working prototype of an vehicles parking system that can control the flow of vehicles into the campus area. This system's controller is a Wemos D1 Mini, which may be used with the ESP 8266 module to connect to the internet, RFID card for students' identities for drivers of motor vehicles, servo motors to control gateways, infrared proximity sensors to count the number of vehicless entering and exiting the parking area, and Google Firebase for student lecture scheduling databases are all examples of technology used in parking area today. The test results reveal that the system can successfully verify the schedule saved in Firebase and read the student's identity contained on the RFID card. Only students with class schedules on that day are permitted access to the parking area.
Budidaya ikan merupakan salah satu sektor yang dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan perekonomian di Indonesia. Salah satu permasalahan yang dijumpai oleh pembudidaya ikan adalah teknik pemberian pakan ...yang kurang efisien, misal harus dilakukan secara manual. Hal ini tentu saja akan kurang efisien apabila peternak memiliki banyak kolam yang harus dikelola dan memiliki pekerjaan sampingan, seperti mengelola sawah atau kebun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggabungkan konsep IoT dengan alat pakan ikan, khususnya ikan lele, sehingga peternak ikan tetap dapat memberikan pakan dari jarak jauh, di mana saja dan kapan saja serta dapat memonitoring sisa pakan ikan. Modul NodeMCU digunakan sebagai mikrokontroler yang terintegrasi dengan modul wi-fi. Sistem monitoring dibuat menggunakan realtime database firebase. Sisa pakan dalam wadah penampung dapat terdeteksi oleh sensor ultrasonik. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian, diperoleh tingkat akurasi alat sebesar 96,8%. Pengujian QoS yakni delay, throughput, packet loss, dan jitter terhadap komunikasi sistem monitoring menghasilkan nilai yang sangat bagus dan berindeks 4 berdasarkan standar TIPHON.

The speeding ticket is a ...medium for the police to write fines and violations against road users who commit traffic violations. In this modern era ideas and ideas have emerged to develop a system or application that can facilitate the performance, needs and human activities through an intermediary smartphone. E-ticketing is a digitization of the manual ticketing process that fills offenders data on the ticketing sheet. The e-ticket helps the police in the ticketing process by entering data in the application, utilizing the Firebase Realtime Database technology through smartphone intermediaries. The purpose of this study is to create a traffic violator or E-ticketing system using the Firebase Realtime Database technology. Then provide attachments to offenders in the form of notifications through the E-ticket application, and assist the police in an effort to deal with traffic offenders. The results of this study showed 80.5% of respondents rated the Application of Firebase Realtime Database on the Android-based Smartphone Mobile E-Ticket Application in accordance with the needs of the police in carrying out the ticketing process.
The presented paper describes the creation of a mobile application module for showing a current menu at Mendel University cafeterias. Nowadays, the students and the university staff have the menu ...accessible through a static webpage. The presented solution serves as a dynamic presentation of the current menu for all Mendel University in Brno cafeterias. Most cafeteria menu applications use the REST architectures for the server backend. The contribution of the paper is in usage of the Google Firebase Realtime database as a server backend. Unlike in traditional REST architecture, the data e.g. the food rating is instantaneously changed and the users have an up to date information. Part of the presented solution is also a mobile application module for both Android and iOS where university students and staff can see the current cafeterias menus.

The need for public facilities in densely populated areas is an important matter. One of the needs for public facilities is a public toilet or commonly called MCK. However, the MCK facilities do not ...yet have management of charging water and electricity. One way to overcome this problem is to use a system that is able to manage water filling and electrical power in the MCK. The problem of insufficient power can be overcome by applying Solar Cell using a Hybrid system so that the existing power becomes more efficient. This study uses a water management system in the toilet bowl using ultrasonic sensors and solenoid valves. The duration of using MCK is known from the PIR sensor. The power management itself uses a hybrid solar cell system where the resources used are batteries and PLN. Then the sensor reading data is sent to firebase and displayed on the website. Based on the test, it was found that the performance of the solar cell during testing on Saturday 10 July 2021 to Monday 12 July 2021 produced an average power of 20.28Watt and the average intensity of sunlight was 680062.32lx. The power used by the load for 3 days is 0.81 kWh. The average usage on the 3 days of the trial was 9.72 Min. Quality of Service testing on a 3-day trial system obtained an average delay of 0.9637308s and packet loss of 2.2%.
Forest fires have become a major threat these days. The hazard posed by forest fires has increased globally. It has a detrimental effect on both human and forest ecosystems. Forest fires can be due ...to natural changes such as changes in the climate and the Greenhouse effect is due to human activities. Human activities are the major reason for forest fires interestingly. It is important to spot the fires early to reduce the major destruction and loss. In this project, we have proposed a system and methodology which is a wireless sensor network to identify forest fires in early stage. Our project will help to detect the fire in the early stage by using the sensor and intimate through a buzzer and a message to the administration of the forest, therefore the immediate necessary actions can be taken in time and can stop the fire. Administrative officers are constantly monitored. This system has many benefits and protects the environment, forest survivors, infrastructure, lives, and ecosystem. Saving our environment is a major thing in this developing country and world. Forest fire is a biggest natural and man-made calamity int he world. It’s a environment tragedy. Once the fire is not detected and it spreads over a huge area destroying everything, such destruction should be avoided and should save our forest habitats effort of this project is to create and implement a IoT based system that can sense and detect forest fires in early and notify to the responsible officials.
