The subject of this paper lies on a song compilation recorded between the years of 2000 and 2010 at bailes funk of the Rio de Janeiro’s favelas, and disseminated via homemade CD-Rs, through which we ...address the constitution of a musical scene at Rio de Janeiro’s periphery. It occurs due to factors which intervened at the form on how were framed the speeches propagated through the lyrics of the musical subgenre named Proibidão. This research broaches the specific case of live-presented street party songs, sold at the informal market slums’ stands CDs. The chosen method to comprehend the slums operation as “emotional communities” was reflecting upon the production and the hearing within the musical subgenre. A subgenre which express a micro-location identitary process, glance shifting our attention to zones where new intersubjective experiences emerge, where cultural values, representation strategies, and the marks of a small collectivity belongingness are all negotiated.
Tendo como objeto de estudo coletâneas de músicas difundidas em CDs gravados nos bailes funk promovidos em favelas do Rio de Janeiro entre 2000 e 2010, abordamos neste trabalho a constituição de um circuito musical na periferia carioca em função de fatores que interferiram na forma como se constituiriam os discursos veiculados através das letras do subgênero do Funk Carioca que se chamou “Proibidão”. A pesquisa aborda o caso específico das músicas apresentadas ao vivo em festas de rua e difundidas através de CDs vendidos no mercado informal. O método escolhido para tentar compreender o funcionamento das favelas como “comunidades de sentimentos” foi o de pensar a produção e a escuta de um subgênero musical que expressa um processo de microlocalização identitária, deslocando o olhar para zonas onde emergem novas experiências intersubjetivas e se negociam valores culturais, estratégias de representação e marcas de pertencimento a pequenas coletividades.
Partiendo del estudio de los registros musicales hechos en CDs de canciones grabadas en bailes funk promovidos en favelas de Río de Janeiro entre 2000 y 2010, este artículo brinda un panorama general de la constitución de un circuito musical en la periferia carioca y discute los factores que interfirieron de modo directo en la forma como se constituyeron los discursos transmitidos a través de las letras del subgénero del Funk Carioca que se llamó “Proibidão”. La investigación se dedica a las músicas presentadas en fiestas callejeras y distribuidas en el mercado informal de comunidades populares. El método elegido para intentar comprender las favelas como zonas donde surgen nuevas experiencias intersubjetivas y se negocian otras estrategias de representación fue el de pensar, desde un punto de vista sociológico y también en sus dimensiones estéticas, la producción y la escucha de un subgénero musical que expresa un complejo proceso de microlocalización identitaria.

Cross-domain collaborative filtering, which transfers rating knowledge across multiple domains, has become a new way to effectively alleviate the sparsity problem in recommender systems. Different auxiliary domains are generally different in the importance to the target domain, which is hard to evaluate using previous approaches. Besides, most recommender systems only take advantage of information from user- or item-side auxiliary domains. To overcome these drawbacks, we propose a cross-domain collaborative filtering algorithm with expanding user and item features via the latent factor space of auxiliary domains in this paper. In the proposed algorithm, the recommendation problem is first formulated as a classification problem in the target domain, which takes user and item location as the feature vector, their rating as the label. Then, Funk-SVD decomposition is employed to extract extra user and item features from user- and item-side auxiliary domains, respectively, with the purpose of expanding the two-dimensional location feature vector. Finally, a classifier is trained using the C4.5 decision tree algorithm for predicting missing ratings. The proposed algorithm can make full use of user- and item-side information. We conduct extensive experiments and compare the proposed algorithm with various state-of-the-art single- and cross-domain collaborative filtering algorithms. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm has advantages in terms of four different evaluation metrics.
O artigo discute as transformações e consequências da generalização da lógica da mercadoria e do dinheiro nas margens sociais nas expectativas, nos desejos e no imaginário dos jovens periféricos. ...Seguindo o pressuposto do paralelismo entre narcisismo e fetichismo da mercadoria, mostramos que a ostentação é uma disposição que orienta o comportamento social dos jovens no sentido da dialética da onipotência e da impotência. O revezamento constante entre a ostentação e o ressentimento era impelido pela perspectiva desesperadora de serem socialmente descartados e pela angústia permanente que decorria das experiências que permeavam todas as esferas e o revezamento entre ilícito, legal e ilegal. Assim, os jovens viviam permanentemente entre uma alternativa auto sacrifical; apostando na “vida loka”, e uma vida de impotência diante de desejos de consumos ilimitados e horizontes de vida rebaixados como trabalhador.
This article aims to present a research about the Brazilian musical genre funk, taking into consideration that it is an imported rhythm that became very popular in the artistic manifestations that ...were born in the favelas of Brazil, and that is still stigmatized by a large amount of the population. Therefore, we intend to demystify pre-existent prejudices, and bring funk closer to the history teaching in public schools. We opted for a bibliographic methodology, within a qualitative approach from an interpretative and reflexive reading of authors such as, Oliveira (2017), Arnodlt (2019), Ribeiro (2018), and Bittencourt (2008).We concluded through this article that the prejudice and marginalization of funk are tied to the roots of racism, and that the use of this rhythm in history lessons is important to the valorization of the local culture, in addition to escaping from traditional education, allowing the entry of an innovative element that would bring together teachers and students through music.

O artigo, derivado de uma pesquisa em curso, adota as narrativas do funk para incursões sobre a problemática de gênero pelo viés da educação inter-cultural. Considerada uma expressão cultural ...híbrida, o funk insinua “performances” e linguagens de cunho sexista. Para verificar essa premissa no universo escolar, estudantes do 5º ano do ensino fundamental de uma escola pública paraibana desenvolveram uma perspectiva analítica das letras. Observou-se que o repertório instiga coreografias provocativas e é constituído por termos obscenos e/ou pejorativos que reverberam alusões depreciativas e discriminatórias em torno da mulher numa incitação da exploração sexual. Sugere-se, portanto, que a apropriação das letras do funk nos espaços-tempos escolares, por meio de observações semântico-culturais, pode fomentar reflexões pedagógicas sobre as questões do feminino
As a phenomenon, funk is wider than its specificities as a musical genre. The cultural space it occupies highlights issues related to the body, gender, race and social classes as sociopolitical ...aspects in constant friction with elite culture and the media, which absorb it and attempt to sanitize it. If something needs to be sanitized through the erasure of social and racial traits of funk singers and dancers, it is because this condition is seen as abject – immund. This article makes use of the concept of immund to analyze the black and LGBT body within the funk universe by examining the portraits of six young men in light of theoretical reflections derived from the fields of dance, performance art and politics.
