The subject of the paper is the relationship between Putin's justification of the war in Ukraine, as well as his foreign policy and geopolitical views, with the geopolitical thought of Russian philosopher Alexandr Dugin. Since the beginning of the "special military operation" in February 2022 there has been a surge in interest for understanding Dugin's geopolitical views and the Russian world-historical mission, his Eurasianism, because of which the already controversial "Putin's brain" has become widely read in the West. While the parallels between Dugin's claims and Putin's, as well as Kremlin-issued statements in general, is staggering, the paper aims to show their ideological connections, rather than any possible personal relations between them. The goal of the paper is philosophical, and consists of highlighting the moral eschatological characteristics of Dugin's geopolitical thought and his critique of the West, as well as the complementary characteristics of Putin's justification of the war in Ukraine. Subsequently, the paper offers their critique in light of the relationship between Dugin's geopolitical and eschatological determinism on the one hand, and on the other, his neglect of the freedom of action and decision making which are precluded by his determinism, but are necessary conditions for his moral critique of the West.

The paper discusses the “modernity” of the disinformation phenomenon through
the prism of the historical development of the media by taking into consideration
the political and economic aspects of each phase, the nature of truth, and
disinformation as a tool for manipulation. It also examines the escalation of
disinformation in the corpus of public knowledge with a special focus on the
role of social networks. Social networks eliminated the communication monopoly
which had hitherto been reserved for an elite circle of people. As a result,
mass communication has become globally accessible to every skilled individual.
The paper also focuses on the model for counteracting the impact of disinformation
according to the principles of the European approach to counteracting disinformation.
It also emphasizes that fighting for the truth is a more appropriate
model than fighting against lies

‘stabilizirajuće i sveobuhvatno ...jastvo’ (Anderson).
neupitno pribadaju tradiciji autobiografskog izričaja (de Man). U Ispovijestima, prvom
u igru istine i laži. Dijalozi se poigravaju multipliciranjem sebstva i na taj način otvoreno
prokazuju autorove fikcionalizacije sebstva, upozoravajući na nemogućnost transparentnog
autobiografskog izričaja. U posljednjm djelu u trilogiji, Sanjarijama usamljenog
Rousseauovi autobiografski tekstovi žele izreći istinu no ona ostaje sekundarna

Sandstone petrographic and U–Pb detrital zircon analyses of Upper Triassic sedimentary rocks from the northern margin of India (Tethyan Himalaya Sequence) and southern margin of Eurasia (Lhasa ...terrane) provide new constraints on the Mesozoic paleogeography of Neo–Tethyan Ocean basins. The Upper Triassic Nieru Formation of the Tethyan Himalaya Sequence (THS) near Lazi city (∼29°N, 87.5°E) is dominated by Indian-affinity, Precambrian detrital zircons, which are typical of the majority of the THS. However, the Upper Triassic Langjiexue Formation of the THS exposed to the east (at 90–93°E longitude) includes significant populations of Permian to Early Jurassic (291–184 Ma) detrital zircons for which there is no known Indian source. In addition, the Upper Triassic Nieru Formation near Kangma town (∼28.5°N, 90°E), located ∼200 km to the southeast of Lazi city, yielded detrital zircon age spectra that are similar to those of Langjiexue Formation. Based on detrital zircon age spectra comparisons, we propose that both the Langjiexue and Nieru formations were derived from continental crustal fragments that were adjacent to the northwestern margin of Australia. Furthermore, we suggest that these THS units, and age-equivalent strata in Northwest Australia, West Sulawesi, Timor and West Papua, comprised a Late Triassic submarine fan along the northern Australian shelf. The Upper Triassic Mailonggang Formation in the southern Lhasa terrane (35 km northeast of Lhasa city, ∼30°N, 91.5°E) is dominated by Permian detrital zircons, which were likely derived from proximal Lhasa terrane sources. The Mailonggang Formation differs from all age-equivalent strata in the Tethyan Himalaya; therefore we interpret that it was separated from Greater India by the Neo–Tethyan Ocean.
•Upper Triassic strata record early Mesozoic paleogeography of Neo–Tethyan margins.•Langjiexue Fm. was deposited on India's margin and was sourced from West Papua.•Nieru Fm. near Lazi is typical of the Indian craton derived Tethyan Himalaya Sequence.•Nieru Fm. near Kangma are similar to the Upper Triassic strata in NW Australia.•Mailonggang Fm. was separated from Greater India by the Neo–Tethyan Ocean.
The character of arcs varies over time with significant temporal fluctuations in the quantity and spatiotemporal patterns of magmatism. However, the driving mechanisms for this episodic behavior of ...arcs need more constraints. This paper analyzed the published data along with our new zircon U-Pb dating and Hf isotopic and whole-rock geochemical data of plutonic rocks in the Gangdese belt in southern Tibet to explore the features, potential drivers, and tectonic implications of episodic arc activity in the Gangdese arc. A comprehensive compilation of U-Pb ages and Lu-Hf isotopic analyses of zircon grains from igneous rocks in the Gangdese belt, sedimentary rocks in trench fill sequences, forearc basins and foreland basins, and sands from modern river reveals that: 1) Gangdese arc activity was episodic during Late Cretaceous to Middle Eocene, displaying two magmatic flare-ups (ca. 100–80 and 65–45 Ma) and one magmatic lull (ca. 80–65 Ma), and 2) both flare-up magmas show relatively positive εHf(t) values (+5 ~ +15) indicative of juvenile sources suggesting these magmas are dominated by contributions from the depleted mantle. In contrast, the magmatic lull between these two magmatic flare-ups could be caused by flat subduction of the Neotethyan slab beneath the southern margin of the Lhasa terrane. These flare-ups likely contributed greatly to the crustal thickening of the Gangdese belt. Constraints from paleo-elevation and geochemical proxies for crustal thickness showed that the ~100–80 Ma flare-up was accompanied by the formation of a thick arc root while the ~65–45 Ma flare-up likely developed in a thinner crust without an arc root.

•Gangdese arc activity was episodic, displaying magmatic flare-ups (~100–80 and ~65–45 Ma).•Flare-up magmatism contributed to crustal thickening.•Gangdese batholith had an arc root at ~90 Ma.

The personality of Pacorus/Bakur the king of Lazi has become the subject of an interesting historiographic discussion in recent years. The discovery of a pitcher in Achmarda with the inscription “Ἐγὼ ...Πάκουρος ὁ βασιλεὺς τοῖς ἀ μνοῖς ἒδωκα” played a key role in stimulating discussion of this issue. There is every reason to believe that king Pacorus/Bakur played an active role in the events that occurred on the territory of Georgia in the third quarter of the 3rd century CE. We take into account the information provided in the “Scriptores Historiae Augustae”, on the facts of the discovery of Greek inscriptions on the signet from Zhinvali and on silver vessels from Gagra and Maikop, and also take into account the passage from “Life of Kartli”. There is every reason to believe that Pacorus/Bakur became king of Lazi at the behest of Antoninus Pius. The Lazi managed to unite the whole Western Georgia under their rule after half of a century. Pacorus/Bakur also supposedly participated in the power struggle in Iberia. The very fact of the discovery of a pitcher that attracted our attention suggests that Pacorus/Bakur controlled the area of modern Gagra.
