Patricia Arquette as Olivia and Ethan Hawke as Mason Sr., the boy's divorced parents; and Lorelei Linklater (the director's daughter) as Mason's slightly older sister. (Potential "big" moments, such ...as Olivia's physical abuse at the hands of her alcoholic second husband, played by Marco Perella, happen off-screen.) NEWS BITES US - NASDAQ News Story NEW YORK & LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Premium entertainment network EPIX celebrates Golden Globe(Registered) winners and Academy Award(Registered) Nominees with ...an encore primetime marathon of Hollywood Sessions February 9 through February 13 at 8pm ET/PT, 7C, to coincide with the return of Oscar(Registered) ballots. About the Los Angeles Times The Pulitzer Prize-winning Los Angeles Times is the largest metropolitan daily newspaper in the country and has been covering Southern California for more than 132 years.
Fans of Richard Linklater's will recognize the voices of some familiar actors from his past films, including Wiley Wiggins, who made his acting debut in "Dazed and Confused," Nicky Katt from ..."SubUrbia," and Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy who played the young lovers in "Sunrise." Here, they've immersed themselves in the world of ideas so completely that their lives seem to contain little or no physical activity other than hand gestures and the periodic raising of eyebrows. The lone exception is one sequence in which a minor character douses himself with gasoline and lights himself on fire with deadpan calm ("Got a match?" he asks Wiggins in a voice of unsettling equanimity).
