2D seismic reflection and wellbore data were used to investigate the structure and stratigraphy of the East Pande block, offshore Tanzania, allowing an assessment to be made of basin development and ...the occurrence of petroleum system elements. Interpretation of the 2D seismic data showed that patterns of sedimentation were controlled by the Cretaceous- Quaternary oceanic circulation (including bottom currents) together with sea level changes and the basin-ward input of detrital material from the Tanzania mainland, resulting in the development of at least five reservoir-seal combinations. The identified reservoir rocks include hybrid turbidite-contourite deposits together with channel sands and their associated levee successions which have moderate porosity and a low shale volume. Regionally, the hybrid turbidite-contourite deposits have not been studied in detail; their presence in the East Pande area may be of interest to both local and regional researchers. Potential structural traps in the study area include faults and local folds; another trapping mechanism is provided by stratigraphic pinch-outs which are characterized in seismic data by flat spots indicative of hydrocarbon accumulations. Deep-rooted faults and erosive channel bases are interpreted to have allowed petroleum migration from underlying source rocks to shallower reservoir intervals. The mapped faults in the study area have N–S to NNW-SSE trends which conform to the Permo-Triassic fault systems of the coastal Tanzania basin. This suggests that the locations and orientations of younger faults was controlled by the pre-existing structural grain linked to Karoo (Permo-Triassic) faulting. The results of this study suggest that the East Pande area offshore Tanzania may have significant petroleum prospectivity.

La comunidad cientifica se encuentra ante uno de sus mayores retos para resolver un problema sanitario de alcance global como es la pandemia del Covid-19. Esta situacion ha generado un volumen de ...publicaciones sin precedentes, pero ?cual es el volumen, en terminos de publicaciones, de la investigacion sobre Covid-19? Conseguir una vision global sobre el crecimiento diario de la produccion cientifica sobre Covid-19 en diferentes fuentes de informacion (Dimensions, Web of Science Core Collection, Scopus, PubMed y ocho repositorios) es el objetivo general de este trabajo de investigacion. En relacion a los resultados obtenidos, Dimensions indexa un total de 9.435 publicaciones (69% con revision por pares y 2.677 preprints) muy por encima de Scopus (1.568) y WoS (718). Nos encontramos ante un fenomeno clasico bibliometrico de crecimiento exponencial (R.sup.2 =0,92). El ritmo de crecimiento a nivel global es de 500 publicaciones diarias en los ultimos dias y la produccion de duplica cada 15 dias. En el caso de PubMed el crecimiento semanal esta en torno a las 1.000 publicaciones, tanto en Dimensions como en LitCovid. De los ocho repositorios analizados se situan a la cabeza PubMed Central, medRxiv y SSRN, a pesar de la enorme contribucion de estos las revistas siguen siendo el nucleo de la comunicacion cientifica. Finalmente se ha establecido que tres de cada cuatro publicaciones sobre el Covid-19 estan disponibles en acceso abierto. Estas cifras exigen una respuesta de los profesionales de la informacion ante una explosion de informacion sin precedentes que nos situa en el centro de la pandemia informativa. The scientific community is facing one of its greatest challenges in solving a global health problem: the Covid-19 pandemic. This situation has generated an unprecedented volume of publications. What is the volume of scientific publications on Covid-19? The general objective of this research work is to obtain a global vision of the daily growth of scientific production on Covid-19 in various databases (Dimensions, Web of Science Core Collection, Scopus, PubMed, and eight repositories). In relation to the results obtained, Dimensions indexes a total of 9,435 publications (69% with peer review and 2,677 preprints) well above Scopus (1,568) and WoS (718). This is a classic bibliometric phenomenon of exponential growth (R.sup.2 = 0.92). The daily global growth rate is 500 publications and the production doubles every 15 days. In the case of PubMed the weekly growth is around 1,000 publications. Of the eight repositories studied, PubMed Central, medRxiv and SSRN are the leaders, but despite their contribution, journals continue to be the core of scientific communication. Finally, it has been established that three of every four publications on the Covid-19 are available in open access. The information explosion which places us, information professionals, at the centre of the information pandemic demands a serious and coordinated response. La educación durante los últimos años viene haciendo un llamado a la transformación constante debido, tanto al desarrollo de la tecnología, como al reciente evento mundial de la pandemia del ...COVID-19. El objetivo de este artículo reflexivo se centra en el reconocimiento de lo que generó la educación confinada y las posibilidades del uso de algunos dispositivos tecnológicos y herramientas digitales que se pudieron adoptar y adaptar a las diversas situaciones, saberes y contextos de las comunidades educativas. De otro lado, busca comprender el reclamo a algunas instituciones educativas rurales y urbanas para la transformación de la educación acordes a los retos y desafíos del siglo XXI. Con una metodología de corte cualitativo y el uso de la técnica de análisis documental, se utilizaron para la recolección y organización de la información instrumentos como matrices, fichas de análisis de categorías y fichas de análisis bibliográfico, lo cual permitió agrupar y clasificar la información para su posterior interpretación y producción reflexiva. Como conclusión principal se resalta la importancia para todos los actores educativos, de adquirir la conciencia contextualizada, en cuanto a la serie de cambios que se vienen presentando en los últimos años en el sistema educativo.
God Almighty in his manifestations as Lord Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva (Tri Murti) is an object of substance that can be reached by Hindu society to be revered. This is related to the profession that put into operation is ‘memande’ at perapen (per-api-an) to make household appliance and various weapons. Brahma god symbolized as fire (agni) is of course considered the closest in providing holy rays, protection, rezeki abundant and prosperity for the class of Pande in carrying out his profession. The worship of the God Brahma is evident during the celebration of the Tumpek Landep holy day which falls every 210 days. Tumpek Landep used as a medium of respect for God in the form of Brahma as the whole nature creator included of earth elements made from metal, such as iron, steel, gold, silver, and copper. Therefore, between Tumpek Landep and Perapen are closely related and even become a symbol of identity booster for the existence class of Pande in Bali.
In this work, the distinct lattice spring model (DLSM) is further developed for handling practical geotechnical problems. The Zienkiewicz-Pande (ZP) constitutive model is implemented into the DLSM ...for a better prediction of soil plasticity. The beam finite element is introduced to simulate supporting structures. The birth–death particle method is developed for the DLSM to simulate the multistage construction. The accuracy and stability of the enriched DLSM are verified against both analytical solutions and numerical results from well-established commercial software. Following this, the enriched DLSM is applied to analyze the stability of one actual deep foundation pit construction project, and its numerical prediction is compared with the actual monitoring data. Finally, a preliminary trial on the design of the foundation pit supporting structure is carried out by using the enriched DLSM. These applications show that the enriched DLSM can be an alternative numerical method for the stability and collapse analysis of deep foundation pit excavation.
Introducción:
El consumo de drogas durante la pandemia ha tenido un impacto significativo en la salud mental de la población mundial, especialmente entre los jóvenes.
Objetivo:
se pretende describir ...la prevalencia del consumo de drogas antes de la pandemia, la frecuencia de consumo y los lugares y circunstancias asociados al consumo entre los estudiantes de la Licenciatura en Educación Física de diversas universidades públicas de la región Caribe colombiana, durante la pandemia del virus SARS CoV-2.
Metodología:
Se llevó a cabo un estudio descriptivo-transversal con estudiantes de la Licenciatura en Educación Física de diferentes universidades de la región Caribe colombiana en el año 2021. La muestra estuvo compuesta por 678 estudiantes. Se utilizó el cuestionario “Percepción Social e Imaginarios Culturales de las Drogas en Población Universitaria” (SIDEC) para recopilar los datos.
Resultados:
Antes de la pandemia, se observó la disponibilidad de drogas legales e ilegales en los entornos universitarios. Durante la pandemia, se observó un aumento en el consumo de alcohol y marihuana, y los estudiantes optaron por actividades extraescolares como el ocio inactivo, el uso de tecnologías y actividad física, las cuales fueron las actividades preferidas.
Conclusiones:
Los hallazgos resaltan la necesidad de implementar campañas de prevención y promoción de la salud mental, especialmente en vista de las situaciones que representan un riesgo para la salud mental de los estudiantes.
Kegiatan pengabdian bagi Kelompok Industri Pande Besi dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kualitas produk pande besi. Ada puluhan industri pande besi baik skala menengah dan kecil di Rejosari Pakis Magelang ...Jawa Tengah dan salah satunya tergabung di kelompok Mijil Karya. Pengembangan kelengkapan sarana anggota industri pande besi pada pelaksanaan kegiatan diarahkan pada peningkatan kapasitas/produktitas dan kualitas produk pande besi. Dan untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, tim pengabdian menyusun langkah kerja atau kegiatan pengabdian meliputi desain tungku, perbaikan tungku, pelaksanaan di industri mitra. Industri pande besi mempunyai beberapa produksi rutin (selain pesanan) yakni perabot rumah tangga (dandang, panci, tempat lampu, hiasan dinding panci bermotif), senjata (sangkur, pedang, keris, tombak), alat pertanian (pacul, alat bajak), alat industri (pisau masak, sabit, parang dan alat potong lain), kerajinan (lampu, kapal, lambu hias, dan hiasan dinding). Pengerjaan tungku di industri pande besi diawali dengan identifikasi tungku perapian dan renovasi (modifikasi) untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan keselamatan kerja pegawai. Realisasi renovasi tungku dikerjakan dengan satu lubang nyala api, perbaikan dinding luar dan perbaikan cerobong. Selanjutnya realisasi peralatan tangan untuk pengerjaan di pande besi dilengkapi beberapa peralatan meliputi klem bangku /catok /ragum, penggores, penitik, mata bor dan mesin bor, gergaji tangan, gunting plat, kikir, palu, mistar baja, tang dan alat solder. Selanjutnya beberapa peralatan digerakkan dengan tenaga mesin meliputi gergaji, bor baik bor tangan dan bor duduk, gerinda potong, gerinda penghalus.
Discussions of Zadie Smith's 2000 novel White Teeth have often focused on the novel as an example of optimistic multiculturalism, seeing both the eclectic style and characters as representative of a ...modern, diverse London. This article moves away from this reading of the text and instead takes a historical approach that draws on concepts of nostalgia and memory. Specifically, it examines how the novel's discussion of Mangal Pande, supposed instigator of the 1857 Indian Rebellion, allows the South Asian characters to reckon with their complex relationship with British colonial violence. By exploring a figure of colonial resistance alongside a narrative of modern-day Britain, Smith shows that memories of the British Empire are still embedded in the everyday lives of British South Asians, and consequently act as both a help and a hindrance to anti-racism activism and the possibilities of successful multiculturalism.
Narrative geographies often curate human and non-human connections in space, which mark the spirit of the place. Beyond this frame, the intricate nexus between human geography, environmental ...mysticism, and theology has been discussed less often. This article seeks to explore the sacred hillscape of the Himalayan ranges and its contingent eco-mysticism through selected post-colonial essays in the collection Between Heaven and Earth: Writings on the Indian Hills, edited by Ruskin Bond and Bulbul Sharma (New Delhi: Speaking Tiger Books, 2022). The decolonial origin of "mysticism" can be traced to the Sanskrit word rahasya, meaning something implicit which is often engraved with the essence of religious spirituality. Across the Indian hills, the spatial network of mysticism and ecology procures an interdisciplinary crossroads with Hindu belief in the divine, which will be examined in this article through the interdisciplinary nodes of the environmental humanities. Further, the integration of Hindu mysticism with the spatial environment not only emphasises the conscious presence of sacredness in human geography, but also permeates the ethical imperative of eco-mysticism, which strives for an alternative consciousness about the contemporary ecological crisis.
The triaxial shear test method with consolidation, low temperature freezing, and radial unloading was applied to simulate the mechanics process of the unloading process of deep artificial frozen clay ...during the excavation of a freezing mine shaft. The triaxial unloading creep test on artificial frozen clay showed that the first and second stages of the creep deformation occur only when the deviatoric stress is low and that creep deformation accounts for >70% of the total deformation. The third stage of creep deformation occurs only when the stress level exceeds a certain critical value, and is characterized by the frozen soil undergoing a large plastic flow, with breaking for 3 to 5h. The creep strength envelope at low confining pressure is linear, in compliance with the Mohr-Coulomb strength criterion, and the critical stress value in the third stage can be described with the improved Zienkiewicz-Pande parabolic yield criterion.
•Strength is one of the main factors influencing the creep of artificial frozen soil at different freezing temperatures.•The characteristics of the stress-strain curve of frozen soil at low temperature can be described with viscous-elastic-plastic deformation law.•The creep strength envelope of artificial frozen soil under high confining pressure can be fitted with the modified Zienkiewicz-Pande parabolic strength criterion.
