Abstract
We consider a mechanical system consisting of a body moving on a horizontal plane and a mobile internal mass, which moves in a circle with a constant velocity. Dry anis ot ropic friction ...force acts between the body and the plane. The body moves without jumping. Five periodic modes of motion are established and conditions of their existence are found. A qualitative analysis of each periodic modes has been performed. In the plane of parameters the domains corresponding to the above periodic modes are determined.
Abstract
The Covid-19 pandemic has hampered many activities, one of which is the waste bank activity. As the pandemic period has passed, many activities have returned to normal. There are several ...waste bank units in Semarang City, one of which is in the Gedawang Village, Banyumanik District, which is still active after the pandemic. The purpose of this study is to find out the development of waste banks post-pandemic. Research techniques using survey methods, with in-depth interviews, observations, questionnaires, and documentation. The analysis technique uses quantitative and qualitative analysis. The results of the study show that in 2023 the number of active waste banks in Gedawang Village, Banyumanik District, will be 23 units spread throughout the urban village area with an average number of customers for each waste bank of around 140 families. After the pandemic, the development of waste banks has increased, as evidenced by the answers from 63.6% of respondents who came from waste bank managers. The reason for this development is the government’s encouragement and concern for the environment (45.5% of respondents). The level of enthusiasm from the community is still relatively moderate (54.5%) and the increase in post-pandemic waste bank performance is 54.5%.
Thematic analysis is a widely used, yet often misunderstood, method of qualitative data analysis. It is a useful and accessible tool for qualitative researchers, but confusion regarding the method's ...philosophical underpinnings and imprecision in how it has been described have complicated its use and acceptance among researchers. In this Guide, we outline what thematic analysis is, positioning it in relation to other methods of qualitative analysis, and describe when it is appropriate to use the method under a variety of epistemological frameworks. We also provide a detailed definition of a theme, as this term is often misapplied. Next, we describe the most commonly used six-step framework for conducting thematic analysis, illustrating each step using examples from our own research. Finally, we discuss advantages and disadvantages of this method and alert researchers to pitfalls to avoid when using thematic analysis. We aim to highlight thematic analysis as a powerful and flexible method of qualitative analysis and to empower researchers at all levels of experience to conduct thematic analysis in rigorous and thoughtful way.
The evaluation on the level of smart scenic spots is crucial in the planning and development of smart tourism destinations. However, existing evaluation approaches for smart scenic spots lack ...scientific rigor and practical applicability. To address this issue, this study proposes a comprehensive evaluation method that combines qualitative analysis and quantitative calculation to establish a weighted index system for assessing the level of smart scenic spots. The approach utilizes a fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model, integrating linear weighted comprehensive evaluation methods, fuzzy mathematics, and the concept of two-tuple. Moreover, the concept of level eigenvalue is introduced to facilitate the evaluation of smart scenic spots. The proposed two-tuple model and evaluation method demonstrate strong operability, applicability, and promotional potential, as evidenced through example calculations and analysis.
Abstract
In article of the methods for baseline determining of signals from a fluorescent detector of a genetic analyzer are discussed. The simulated for signal which has characteristics identical to ...the characteristics of a real signal is performed. The comparison of the methods to the criterion of mean square error and calculation speed for model signals is done. A qualitative analysis of the effectiveness of methods on real signals is carried out. The theoretical calculations by these methods and research results are presented.
The detection of microplastics and nanoplastics in the environment, especially plastic particles in aquatic environments in situ, still faces challenges due to the limitations of current methods, ...instruments and size of plastic particles. This paper evaluates the potential of surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy for the analysis of microplastics and nanoplastics. The condition of different tests including the volume ratio of sample to silver colloid, the concentrations of NaCl, and the concentrations of the samples, are assessed for the study of microplastics and nanoplastics (polystyrene (PS), polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP)) in pure water and seawater. A method based on SERS, that uses silver colloid as the active substrate, is developed for the qualitative analysis of microplastics and nanoplastics in aquatic environments. The particle sizes of microplastics and nanoplastics include 100 nm, 500 nm and 10 μm. The Raman signals of microplastics and nanoplastics in pure water and seawater both show good enhancement efficiency. The optimal enhancement factor is 4 × 104. The SERS-based detection method overcomes the limitations of microplastics and nanoplastics in liquids and can detect 100 nm plastics down to 40 μg/mL. It provides more possibility for the rapid detection of microplastics and nanoplastics in aquatic environments in the future.

Abstract
The purpose of this research was to know the higher misconception between Pascal's law and Archimedes' law. The research method was qualitative descriptive. The question analysis is used to ...know the misconception using the four-tier test. The research subject was senior high school students in South Borneo with the purposive sampling technique. The object of this research was the senior high school students who had received the fluid static material. The result of the research showed that Archimedes' Law Material was the material with higher misconception than Pascal's law. The misconception of Archimedes' law had 51.62%, and Pascal's law at 20.52%. The implication of this research was to determine suitable learning on the Archimedes Law learning.
Location-based services (LBSs) provide enhanced functionality and convenience of ubiquitous computing, but they open up new vulnerabilities that can be utilized to violate the users’ privacy. The ...leakage of private location data in the LBS context has drawn significant attention from academics and industry due to its importance, leading to numerous research efforts aiming to confront the related challenges. However, to the best of our knowledge, none of relevant studies have performed a qualitative and quantitative comparison and analysis of the complex topic of designing countermeasures and discussed the viability of their use with different kinds of services and the potential elements that could be deployed to meet new challenges. Accordingly, the purpose of this survey is to examine the privacy-preserving techniques in LBSs. We categorize and provide an inside-out review of the existing techniques. Performing a retrospective analysis of several typical studies in each category, we summarize their basic principles and recent advances. Additionally, we highlight the use of privacy-preserving techniques in LBSs for enabling new research opportunities. Providing an up-to-date and comprehensive overview of existing studies, this survey may further stimulate new research efforts into this promising field.
