The flow behaviors of magnetorheological (MR) suspensions containing Pickering emulsion polymerized Fe2O3/polystyrene (PS) composite particles were reanalyzed using the Seo–Seo model. The experimental shear stress data obtained experimentally from the magnetorheological fluid fit well to the Seo–Seo model, indicating that this model can describe the structural reformation process of the aligned fibers at various shear rates. Unlike the dynamic yield stress obtained from the Cho–Choi–Jhon (CCJ) model, the static yield stresses obtained from the Seo–Seo model exhibit the same quadratic dependence on the magnetic field strength for both pure Fe2O3 particle suspension and Fe2O3/PS particle suspensions, which is in agreement with the predictions of the polarization model. The static yield stress plausibly explains the difference in underlying mechanism of MR fluids.
The development of aqueous zinc metal batteries (AZMBs) is significantly impeded by the poor cycle stability of Zn anodes due to the uncontrolled dendrite growth and low Coulombic efficiency (CE). ...Herein, for the first time, SeO2 additives are introduced into ZnSO4 electrolyte to enhance the stability of the Zn anode. According to the experimental results, the protective ZnSe layer is initially in‐situ formed on the Zn surface prior to the Zn plating, which acts as a shield for inhibiting the parasitic reactions and dendrite formation. Moreover, this additive strategy yields the unique characteristic of self‐healing for recovering the cracks in the consequence of huge volume change, ensuring the durability of ZnSe layer. Consequently, Zn|Zn symmetric cell using SeO2 additive delivers an enhanced cumulative plated capacity of 2.1 Ah cm−2 under practical test conditions, which far exceeds the previously reported works. Meanwhile, the average CE of 99.6% for 250 cycles is also demonstrated in Zn|Cu half cells with the presence of the SeO2 additive. In addition, the positive effect of the SeO2 additive is further illustrated in the Zn‐MnO2 full cells with a limited Zn.
SeO2 additive is first introduced as solid electrolyte interphase (SEI)−forming agent for stabilizing Zn anodes. With the addition of SeO2, Zn symmetric cells display a high cumulative plated capacity of 2.1 Ah cm−2 and a high average Coulombic efficiency of 99.6% under harsh test conditions (2 mA cm−2, 2 mAh cm−2).
Due to their widespread use, search engines, and specifically Google, are extremely important to attract qualified traffic and thereby achieve the commercial objectives of corporations. Search engine ...optimization (SEO) allows enhanced connection of corporate websites with their audiences through search engines, using certain keywords. This study describes a methodology to determine the most important Spanish companies offering SEO services to third parties, representing an exploratory study of applied cybermetrics for the construction of a universe of companies. One of the relevant results of this work is the design of an information retrieval strategy based on a statistical analysis of search terms and the performance of geolocated searches in all the provincial capitals and Spanish cities with more than 100,000 inhabitants. After cleaning and reviewing the unique URLs, it is concluded that there are 1,043 companies offering SEO services in Spain positioned in Google. These are basically companies with more than one person, operating from a single location, and that offer other services in their portfolio together with SEO. In addition to providing a starting point for future research on the SEO sector in Spain, this research proposes a methodology for the creation of study universes of brands or companies.
Flotation costs represent a significant loss of capital to firms and are positively related to information asymmetry between managers and outside investors. We measure a firm's information asymmetry ...by its accounting information quality based on two extensions of the Dechow and Dichev 2002. The quality of accruals and earnings: the role of accrual estimation errors. Accounting Review 77, 35–59 earnings accruals model, which is a more direct approach to assessing the information available to outside investors than the more commonly used proxies. Our main hypothesis is that poor accounting information quality raises uncertainty about a firm's financial condition for outside investors, though not necessarily for insiders. This accounting effect lowers demand for a firm's new equity, thereby raising underwriting costs and risk. Using a large sample of seasoned equity offerings (SEOs), we show that poor accounting information quality is associated with higher flotation costs in terms of larger underwriting fees, larger negative SEO announcement effects, and a higher probability of SEO withdrawals. These results are robust to joint determination of offer size and flotation cost components and to adjustments for sample selection bias.

The flow behavior of electrorheological suspensions containing graphene oxide/polyaniline composite particles was reanalyzed using a model we proposed recently. The shear stress data obtained experimentally from an electrorheological fluid revealed that the structural reformation of the aligned fibers depended on the shear rate, in good agreement with the model. The static yield stress was depended quadratically on the field strength, in agreement with the predictions of the polarization model. A scaling function was used to model the yield stress behavior of the fluid over a range of electric fields, and it correctly predicted the static yield stress behavior.
We assess the role of both accruals manipulation (AM) and real activities manipulation (RAM) in inducing overvaluation at the time of a seasoned equity offering (SEO). Our results reveal that ...earnings management is most consistently and predictably linked with post-SEO stock market underperformance when it is driven by RAM; in particular, the opportunistic reduction of expenditures on R&D and selling, general, and administrative activities. Thus, overvaluation at the time of the SEO is more likely when managers actively engage in more opaque channels to overstate earnings. Our findings are particularly relevant because managers exhibit a greater propensity for RAM at the time of SEOs, even though RAM is more costly in the long run.
La mejora de la empleabilidad es uno de los objetivos clave de las Universidades, para lo cual es imprescindible identificar las competencias de los perfiles profesionales surgidos en la era digital, ...como el especialista en posicionamiento web o SEO (Search Engine Optimizer). Este artículo realiza una propuesta de perfil competencial y compara el grado de importancia otorgado por empresas y profesionales de un conjunto de competencias previamente identificado. Se ha seguido un diseño exploratorio secuencial (Dexplos), en su modalidad derivativa, que combina una metodología mixta por etapas. Se parte del análisis de demanda laboral sobre SEO y se realizan 23 entrevistas a expertos. De esta fase se extraen las competencias y se crea un instrumento cuantitativo que se lanza a modo de encuesta a dos poblaciones: los negocios y las personas que trabajan en SEO. La encuesta obtuvo 340 respuestas de empresas y 311 de profesionales. Se aplican descriptivos y se comparan los grados de importancia con la prueba T de diferencias de medias para muestras independientes. Los resultados muestran que, además de demandar una combinación de competencias específicas de comunicación, marketing y tecnología, se confiere mucha importancia a las competencias genéricas, especialmente a la capacidad de actualización. Los profesionales otorgan más peso a todas ellas hasta el punto de mostrar diferencias significativas con la empresa en la mayoría de las competencias; pero se observan similitudes en el ranking de relevancia, cuestión que conduce a realizar una propuesta válida de cara a crear una oferta formativa que responda a las necesidades en la sociedad digital.
