This paper explores social representation theory and its relevance for the understanding of how individuals construct and collectively share knowledge about the social world. It seeks to answer ...questions related to why and how certain social phenomena unite people and others divide them. Besides, the paper touches upon the research methodology and the way in which social representations can be presented visually.

Due to the remarkable boost in cryptocurrency trading on digital blockchain platforms, the utilization of advanced machine learning systems for robust prediction of highly nonlinear and noisy data, gains further popularity by individual and institutional market agents. The purpose of our study is to comparatively evaluate a plethora of Artificial Intelligence systems in forecasting high frequency Bitcoin price series. We employ three different sets of models, i.e., statistical machine learning approaches including support vector regressions (SVR) and Gaussian Poisson regressions (GRP), algorithmic models such as regression trees (RT) and the k-nearest neighbours (kNN) and finally artificial neural network topologies such as feedforward (FFNN), Bayesian regularization (BRNN) and radial basis function networks (RBFNN). To the best of our knowledge, this is the first time an extensive empirical investigation of the comparative predictability of various machine learning models is implemented in high-frequency trading of Bitcoin. The entropy analysis of training and testing samples reveals long memory traits, high levels of stochasticity, and topological complexity. The presence of inherent nonlinear dynamics of Bitcoin time series fully rationalizes the use of advanced machines learning techniques. The optimal parameter values for SVR, GRP and kNN are found via Bayesian optimization. Based on diverse performance metrics, our results show that the BRNN renders an outstanding accuracy in forecasting, while its convergence is unhindered and remarkably fast. The overall superiority of artificial neural networks is due to parallel processing features that efficiently emulate human decision-making in the presence of underlying nonlinear input-output relationships in noisy signal environments.
Based on the observation results of social studies learning materialon social phenomena at PGSD UN PGRI Kediri, it can be concluded that most students are less responsive to problems that occur in ...society in an interdiciplinary manner. This will reduce the meaning of learning social science. Based on some of these shortcomings then classroom action research (CAR) is carried out by applying an interdisciplinary approach and the learning Group Investigation model, because this learning model requires students to be more active in developing their attitudes and knowledge about social studies learning, especially social phenomena material that is in accordance with their respective abilities in constructing their own knowledge. This research design uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the stages of planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The subject of this study were students of PGSD UN PGRI Kediri class 2B, odd semester of the 2019/2020 academic year. The data taken in this study are data from the results of investigation reports and learning outcomes data in the form of tests on the assessment sheet. The results obtained after applying an interdisciplinary approach with the Group Investigation model on the material of social phenomena, namely learning have been successful. It is evident in the results of student performance that there has been an increase from the first cycle, namely the average score is 74.4 and the second cycle the average score is 89.3. Then the student learning outcomes also experienced an increase in scores, namely from the first cycle with an average score of 79.5 and the second cycle average score of 94.
The unanticipated and unsolicited Russian aggression against Ukraine in February 2022 highlighted the urgency of updating general assumptions about post-communist countries. The war has revealed the ...inadequacy of the terms and concepts employed for western democracies for describing, understanding, and predicting the developments in the “hybrid” regimes of Eastern Europe and the former USSR. Magyar and Madlovics strongly argue for a vocabulary and grammar tailored to the specifics of the countries of the former communist bloc. In this concise companion to the 800-page The Anatomy of Post-Communist Regimes (CEU Press, 2020), they develop a conceptual framework in 120 propositions with (1) a typology of post-communist regimes and (2) a detailed presentation of ideal-type actors and the political, economic, and social phenomena in these regimes. Each of the 120 propositions contains a statement and a succinct discussion supported by illustrative tables, figures, and QR-codes that connect the interested reader to the more detailed analysis in the Anatomy. In a condensed form, the holistic approach of the Anatomy is retained by treating political, market, and communal spheres as parts of a single, coherent whole. An analysis of twelve countries illustrates the concrete application of the method.

The social upheaval in Chile, mainly attributed to inequalities, injustices and inequities, and protected by a political, social and economic systems, among others, was not alien to the Chilean ...Olympic Committee, its National Olympic Academy and the High Performance Athletes, who convened and developed in Santiago of Chile, the First Citizen Dialogue of the National Federated Sport to address these issues. The purpose of this study, unprecedented for the Chilean situation, was to analyse different points of view and identify the most important and salient arguments relevant to understanding the main demands and proposals made on behalf of Chileans stakeholders. As a methodological approach, the interpretive paradigm was utilized, along with a qualitative approach, based on hermeneutic phenomenology and associated to the main thematic components in Citizen Dialogues. The discussion group comprised athletes, coaches, and national leaders, forming a sample of n = 285 people that congregated in discussion groups. Grounded Theory was used in the analysis, which led to the determination of conclusions regarding the problems facing sport and then, improvements were proposed. In general, there is consensus among the opinions and arguments of the different actors, and very few disagreements. In conclusion, it is clear that sports activity in Chile is still in a precarious stage, with certain characteristics of amateurism in the various spheres, with the absence of adequate resources and an insufficient institutional and organizational framework which has not ensured adequate policies, security, and incentives to the different taking part actors. In-depth measures are clearly needed.

The launch of Insights into Language, Culture and Communication (ILCC) by the Academy Publishing Center (APC) is a recognition that multi-disciplinarity not only shapes the social landscape of ...language, culture and communication but also establishes a significant and dynamic area of investigation in contemporary communication and interaction. More specifically, the journal marks an important shift in the status of multidisciplinarity theoretically, methodologically, and empirically carving new routes through several disciplinary terrains to consolidate and advance the development of linguistics, culture and media scholarship.
What makes ILCC stand out among recently emerging journals is that it serves as an international forum for the growing body of works in several interlocking disciplines, engages in critical discussions of key contemporary challenges arising from the scale and speed of new media development, and opens up an entirely new line of research premised on a wide range of disciplinary perspectives. ILCC encourages submissions from a wide range of disciplines such as: philosophy, sociology, linguistics, applied linguistics, literary studies, cultural studies, critical theory, media studies, gender studies and the visual arts, all of which assist scholars to shoehorn their multidisciplinary arguments.

Living with people who differracially, ethnically, religiously, or economicallyis the most urgent challenge facing civil society today. We tend socially to avoid engaging with people unlike ...ourselves, and modern politics encourages the politics of the tribe rather than of the city. In this thought-provoking book, Richard Sennett discusses why this has happened and what might be done about it.Sennett contends that cooperation is a craft, and the foundations for skillful cooperation lie in learning to listen well and discuss rather than debate. In Together he explores how people can cooperate online, on street corners, in schools, at work, and in local politics. He traces the evolution of cooperative rituals from medieval times to today, and in situations as diverse as slave communities, socialist groups in Paris, and workers on Wall Street. Divided into three parts, the book addresses the nature of cooperation, why it has become weak, and how it could be strengthened. The author warns that we must learn the craft of cooperation if we are to make our complex society prosper, yet he reassures usand#160;that we can do this, for the capacity for cooperation is embedded in human nature.
