As part of the work on the article, two 2D games were created – one based on the Unity environment and the other based on LibGDX. Main focus in the work was to compare the performance of both games. ...For this purpose, research was carried out to determine which game has a better impact on the usage of CPU and RAM resources. Attention was also paid to community support for both tools and the programmer’s comfort during the work in both of these tools. The results of the performance studies suggest that LibGDX may be a better choice for creating small projects where performance is a priority. However, the support of the community and the comfort of working with the environment and the lack of need to use external programs speak in favor of Unity.
Przedmiotem artykułu jest próba ukazania dziejów szkoły bazyliańskiej w Humaniuw kontekście zaszłych na terenach południowo-wschodniej Rzeczypospolitej końca XVIII i początkuXIX w. przemian ...społeczno-politycznych. Autorzy dowodzą, iż system edukacyjny bazylianów był przezkilka stuleci nierozerwalnie związany z interakcją polskich i rusko-ukraińskich oraz katolickich i prawosławnychelementów kulturowych. Doprowadziła ona do ukształtowania w mentalności unitów przekonaniao istnieniu w ramach Rzeczypospolitej jedności narodowej (łączącej Polaków i Rusinów orazLitwinów) i konfesyjnej (katolicy obydwu obrządków). Jedności tej zagrażali prawosławni stanowiącywroga zewnętrznego (Moskwa) i wewnętrznego (Kozacy, duchowni prawosławni Rzeczypospolitej). Ideajedności metaforyzowała wszelkie myślenie/działanie bazyliańskich zakonników, zarówno ich teologię,historiografię, jak i pedagogikę. To właśnie humańska szkoła, jako jedna z najsłynniejszych na prawobrzeżnejUkrainie, wpisała się we wszelkie przemiany targające organizmem upadłej Rzeczypospolitej.Po pierwszym etapie działalności szkoły i przerwie wynikającej z krwawych wydarzeń humańskich1768 r. nastąpił znaczny jej rozkwit, trwający praktycznie do jej zamknięcia przez władze rosyjskiejw 1834 r.
Computer games have become a part of everyone's life today. They occupy a large part of the entertainment industry. The gaming industry is growing and evolving every day thanks to new technologies, ...platforms, and trends. For example, esports has become a popular way to spend leisure time. Game broadcasts on platforms such as Twitch and YouTube have become very popular. A large number of esports competitions involve computer-controlled players (bots). The game intelligence of bots affects the level of complexity and strategies of the game. It can be designed for bots of different skill levels, from beginners to very highly skilled opponents. If game intelligence provides smart opponents, the game becomes more challenging and interesting. Players can feel the impact of their decisions as they see how the game intelligence of bots responds to their actions. An example is the game «Dark Souls», where intelligent and merciless enemies create an extremely challenging gaming experience. Game intelligence can also control the creation of the game's plot and dialogues. Intelligent bots can create intriguing scenes and decisions for players that affect the plot. An example of such bots can be seen in the game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, where game intelligence influences the plot development. The purpose of the paper is to study the use of game intelligence and its construction as a basis for further implementation of the logic of game objects. Game intelligence is implemented in the C# programming language, taking into account the features of the Unity game engine and object-oriented design methods. It can be used by programmers of different levels and will remain relevant and easy to use at different stages of product development.
Within the context of composite beam structure modeling, a refined model is combined with a simpler one solely within a region of interest, aiming to enhance result accuracy. The purpose is to gain ...computational cost without loss of precision. For that, the Partition Unity Method (PUM) is used to ensure the continuity condition on the displacement field. A 1D refined Sinus model and a 2D approach are involved to demonstrate the capability of the method. It is assessed on different numerical examples involving both laminated and sandwich beams. The accuracy of the results is shown using reference solutions and computations using a mono-model. The interest of the method is further demonstrating by estimating the computational cost with or without the coupling. The results are rather very promising.

This paper proposes two novel 5-level active neutral-point-clamped (ANPC) inverters that double the voltage gain of the conventional topology from half to unity. Each phase of the proposed topologies ...is constituted by three half-bridges that control a flying capacitor to generate 5 symmetrical ac voltage levels. The natural voltage balancing of dc-link and flying capacitors in the proposed topologies implies that the sensors and voltage balancing controller commonly used in the conventional ANPC inverter are no longer necessary. In addition to switch count reduction, the most noteworthy merit of the proposed topology is its ease of implementation with commercial half-bridge modules, where the design of dedicated circuit is not needed. The operation of the proposed 5-level unity-gain ANPC (5L-UG-ANPC) inverters is analyzed and validated through simulation and experimental tests.

The authors present a method to interconnect the Visualisation Toolkit (VTK) and Unity. This integration enables them to exploit the visualisation capabilities of VTK with Unity's widespread support ...of virtual, augmented, and mixed reality displays, and interaction and manipulation devices, for the development of medical image applications for virtual environments. The proposed method utilises OpenGL context sharing between Unity and VTK to render VTK objects into the Unity scene via a Unity native plugin. The proposed method is demonstrated in a simple Unity application that performs VTK volume rendering to display thoracic computed tomography and cardiac magnetic resonance images. Quantitative measurements of the achieved frame rates show that this approach provides over 90 fps using standard hardware, which is suitable for current augmented reality/virtual reality display devices.
Este artículo analiza las condiciones de creación y producción cinematográfica durante el gobierno de la Unidad Popular. Para ello examina tres ejes principales. En primer lugar, los problemas ...políticos que tuvieron que afrontar los cineastas. En segundo lugar, los problemas ideológicos que atravesaron los espacios de producción ligados al proyecto de construcción socialista. En tercer lugar, los problemas económicos que se concretaron en la dificultad para acceder a materiales y recursos necesarios para los rodajes y la postproducción. Esos problemas económicos estaban ligados al bloqueo invisible con que las multinacionales norteamericanas golpearon a la economía chilena, y de forma muy llamativa al sector cinematográfico. El artículo alude también al modo en que muchos de los cineastas identificados con el proyecto de la Unidad Popular debieron desarollar, a partir de septiembre de 1973, buena parte de su cinematografía en el exilio.
