In this paper, we propose a research agenda to support the recovery of Alexander Bogdanov's philosophical and systemic thinking that culminated in his magnum opus, Tektology. Our main reason for ...doing so is to re‐address enduring questions about the unity of science and the unity of the systems paradigm. Since the turn of the new millennium, there has been renewed interest in the ideal of the unity of science. General system theory (GST), cybernetics and complexity science are three significant intellectual sources inspiring this renewal. It is not unusual for these ideas to be grouped under the umbrella terms systems science or systems thinking, which are two ways to present a single systems paradigm, and we will explain why its “unity” is both necessary and problematic. Bringing Bogdanov's work back to address the unity question can help us to progress toward unity in diversity.
Abstract
The Ethiopian Federal Democratic Republic (EFDR) Constitution is promulgated in 1994. Under Article (45) of the EFDR the country is restructured from presidential to parliamentary system of ...government. Since then, the country has been ravaged by the gross violation of the liberty of citizens and the crisis of national unity and consensus among the diversified ethnic groups. The impact of the parliamentary system in aggravating those critical challenges and the comparative advantage of presidantialism is the most ignored political research topic. In this Article, I investigated that the blurry separation of powers of the parliamentary structure of the country has created fusion of powers which has undermined the system of checks and balances. Thus, the executive organ of the government has enabled to concentrate unchecked and unaccountable power which has manifested in the gross violation of the liberty of citizens. Likewise, Article (73) of EFDR has declared that the prime minister and council of ministers of the country to be appointed by the legislators. This has deprived their boarder popular base and authenticity; and equivocally undermined their potency and decisiveness in addressing the existing crisis of national unity and consensus. Comparatively, the presidential structure of government is defined by the firm separation of powers and genuine system of checks and balances. The direct popular election of the president enables the president and council of ministers to secure broader popular base and authenticity. Thus, it is advantageous over parliamentarian structure in terms of protecting the liberty of citizens and addressing the crisis of national unity and consensus in Ethiopia.
Energy harvesting is expected to be ubiquitous and essential to modern‐day life in the future. The limitations of ambient sources, such as thermal, mechanical, and solar, for energy harvesting can be ...overcome by RF energy harvesting for low‐power devices. With the help of perfect metasurface absorbers, an electromagnetic wave can be used as an ambient source for energy harvesting. In this paper, a simple polarization‐insensitive triple‐band perfect metasurface absorber is proposed for RF energy harvesting applications. The three‐layer (metal–dielectric–metal) meta‐atom of the designed metasurface consists of a cross‐shaped metal patch surrounded by slotted square‐shaped metallic patches and of 9
×
9 $9\times 9$ meta‐atoms. The absorber is typically developed in S‐ and C‐bands with resonant frequencies of 3.06, 3.9, and 5.97 GHz. The absorption is near unity which persists over a wide angle of incidence. The experimental results are in close agreement, within 2%, with the simulation results. The reliability of the proposed absorber has been determined for the RF energy harvesting applications, and a high harvesting efficiency of 94.4% and 84% has been observed at 3.07 and 5.97 GHz, respectively.
Considerable progress in wireless power transfer has been made in the realm of non-radiative transfer, which employs magnetic-field coupling in the near field. A combination of circuit resonance and ...impedance transformation is often used to help to achieve efficient transfer of power over a predetermined distance of about the size of the resonators. The development of non-radiative wireless power transfer has paved the way towards real-world applications such as wireless powering of implantable medical devices and wireless charging of stationary electric vehicles. However, it remains a fundamental challenge to create a wireless power transfer system in which the transfer efficiency is robust against the variation of operating conditions. Here we propose theoretically and demonstrate experimentally that a parity-time-symmetric circuit incorporating a nonlinear gain saturation element provides robust wireless power transfer. Our results show that the transfer efficiency remains near unity over a distance variation of approximately one metre, without the need for any tuning. This is in contrast with conventional methods where high transfer efficiency can only be maintained by constantly tuning the frequency or the internal coupling parameters as the transfer distance or the relative orientation of the source and receiver units is varied. The use of a nonlinear parity-time-symmetric circuit should enable robust wireless power transfer to moving devices or vehicles.
The VIENNA rectifier is increasingly being considered as the active front-end converter in many applications that do not require regeneration or controllable input reactive power. In such ...applications, this rectifier is normally operated at unity source displacement factor, which derates its nominal voltampere (VA) rating. Moreover, in the "source voltage oriented" reference frame that is normally used for control, this rectifier has complex operating limits on the rectifier terminal voltage (imposed by the operating conditions), which needs to be computed online to avoid the line currents from going through zero-crossing distortions. Also, the source voltage has to be either measured or estimated, which further increases the cost and/or computational burden. This paper proposes a control method that eliminates the requirement of the input voltage sensors (or estimators) and makes the limits on the rectifier terminal voltage far simpler to compute. The control method is implemented in the input line current oriented reference frame, considering unity displacement factor at the rectifier input terminals, which minimizes the VA rating of the rectifier (for a given rated load power). The proposed sensorless current-oriented control approach is compared with the conventional voltage-oriented control strategy through experimental results.
Mystics from all religions have spoken about a unity in existence. They clearly state that there is really only one being that exists in this Universe, i.e. the Absolute. At the same time, they have ...not denied the multiplicity of creatures that appear to us. These two statements seem to be apparently contradictory to one another. Ontology is a discipline that is concerned with existence. For this reason, they take these mystical utterances seriously and often discuss them in their philosophical investigations from various points of view. The mystics have usually not attempted to prove their claims using rational proofs. Rather, they primarily claim to have directly witnessed the unity of existence in their mystical visions. As a purely rational discipline, philosophy has made attempts to prove this contention of the mystics and to reconcile any apparent contradictions that might exist in their statements. One of the philosophers who made great progress in this area was Mulla Sadra. Mulla Sadra was of the opinion that it is indeed possible to prove that it is only God that truly exists in the Universe without this contradicting the existence of His creatures. He was of the opinion that this unity manifests itself at two levels of being. At a higher level, there is a multiplicity in unity and a lower level there is a unity in multiplicity. Mulla Sadra proves the higher level of unity using a philosophical principle called the Principle of the Simple Reality. He affirms the lower level of unity using the idea that the existence of an effect is a copulative being with respect to its cause. At the same time, Mulla Sadra affirms that both of these levels of existence are levels of one individual being. This paper seeks to explain the second dimension of Mulla Sadra's theory of the unity of being (i.e. the station of unity in multiplicity) as he described it in his famous philosophical treatise, al-Shawahid al-Rububiyyah.

A new heteronuclear EuII–MnII complex Eu(N2O6)MnBr4 (N2O6 = 4,7,13,16,21,24-hexaoxa-1,10-diazabicyclo8.8.8hexacosane) is designed and synthesized, which shows an intense green emission from MnII with ...a near-unity photoluminescence quantum yield. Measurement of excited-state dynamics demonstrated the sensitization process from EuII to MnII, which represents the first example of f → d molecular sensitization. Due to the large optical absorption cross-section of the EuII center, Eu(N2O6)MnBr4 shows an emission intensity 7 to 2500 times stronger than that of the SrII–MnII control complex Sr(N2O6)MnBr4 upon the excitation of near ultraviolet to blue light.
Unity and empathy among Muslims and their peaceful life together has been and is the concern of all sympathetic Muslim experts, but the debates raised about unity by influential thinkers and even ...jurists and religious scholars in many cases, in a space Non-jurisprudence and has been formed with a purely social-corrective literature. Looking at this issue and its necessity from a jurisprudential point of view - as opposed to a non-jurisprudential social view for which there is no horizon beyond recommending and praising unity and explaining its necessity - has the capacity to raise the issue of unity and peaceful coexistence at a higher level than recommending and praise in Islamic societies. Especially, the fact that the issue of unification - which is continuously strengthened by the divisions between Islamic sects - has a jurisprudential identity in addition to its religious nature, requires that the issue of unity and peaceful coexistence be raised in a more powerful and effective atmosphere so that it can be ignored. has the views of unification, and according to the analysis and analysis of the issue of unity from the point of view of jurisprudence and exploration to find its jurisprudential ruling (obligation, sanctity, etc.) based on the rule of Muslim respect, he has this position and power.
