Democracy is a moral and practical system conveying living proximity,
including definition of love-AGAPE, conflict, inequality, power. First we highlight
what it is love and what it is power. Then, ...in order to overcome inequality we
apply the love theory to an acknowledgment theory to figure out the mediator
figure, that is able to build a social space where love-AGAPE may thrive and
power may be restored to its relational nature, that is negotiable. From this
point we go on analyzing the distributed power (horizontal). At last, thank to A.
Gramsci s hegemony notion, we point out the ideal of radical democracy as the
most fertile along the others, to which a common action from different types
of qualified mediators should tend.
The First Christian Communities did assume the widespread symposium habit of the Ancient societies as theirs. From the beginning, they celebrated banquets or ritual meals that were used to strengthen the community ties and to consolidate their own religious identity. At the bosom of this kind of gathering, originally known as the Agape term, did emerge the Eucharistic meal. From the New Testament writings, the Christian literary sources speak us with some profusion about the religious banquets, and, from the third century, they appeared represented on Christian funerary fresco paintings and mosaics.
In the current article, the author deals with the comprehension of the falling in love as a psychological fact of undeniable sociological importance. He presents a first approach to everything ...relating to its nature, predominantly erotic. Subsequently he revises the main and best-known theories on it and he criticizes some of these theories. He establishes the concept of "encrusted love". And finally, based on the Freudian theories and on Castilla del Pino's theory of feelings, he exposes the falling in love as a process across different phases, explained in a didactic way.
We intend to make clear the importance of love in the christian philosophical-theological reflection through one of its greatest masters: St. Buenaventura. We will focus on the different meanings of the term "love" by looking at its two main subjects, that is, Man and God. Besides,we will try to comprehend some consequences of the statement "God is Love" according to this Franciscan thinker. St. Buenaventura shows a great command of the currents of thinking previos to his own. This, added to his being Franciscan, makes his doctrine truly orignal and suggestive.
The article reviews the topic of love on the original letters of Paul (Rm, 1-2 Co, Ga, Flp, 1 Ts, Flm). And it does so from the point of view of the Messianic event, which is the core to both the theological reflection and the missionary activity by Paul. The first part is dedicated to the releasing powers of Messianic love, that is to say, the maginific salvation acts carried out by the God of inconditional Love through Jesuschrist, who is his Messianic agent. After adducing the splendid text on Rm 8,31-39, we find a review of the texts by Paul on God's releasing Love, which is displayed on the death of the Messiah. This is done in order to quote, later on, Paul's texts on God's Love regarding a Messianic choice. The second part of the article aims at the love for the Messianic community, which has been made possible thanks to the new field opened by the Messianic event. In the first section, we revise Paul's texts on the principles of love according to Messianic norms, which are based on Jesus's "proexistence". Jesus, who died in order to save us all. In the second section, several of Paul's texts are alleged. Such texts introduce affective love as the centre to multiple manifestations of life within the Messianic community. We will finish with a wonderful praise addressed to the fragment on 1 Cor 13.

ABSTRACT
This article aims at demonstrating the semantics of the term Eros in Christian tradition, pointing out the limitations of the term in Portuguese. The scope of its meaning is much wider in Greek. If Christian tradition has charged the word with a negative feature, other priests have read it in tune with Agape and other meanings. The mystical perspective interprets it as an ‘erotic’ relationship between man and God. Such intimacy attempts to explain God’s desire and the mutual relation between the one who loves and the beloved, rooted in mankind’s most intimate longing. To deny, on account of prejudice, words charged with non-divine desires unworthy of humanity, as happened in antiquity, is to reduce their semantic field in history. That word reflects the soul’s love for God in a mystical perspective and assumes meaningful variations, among which Christ’s love, ‘Agape’ or God’s love for men, and individual love connected with God: ‘Eros’ as virtue and chastity. The comprehension of the dimensions of love takes place in the capacity to realize that they are all positive and relevant to human life’s balance, in the harmony of those dimensions that constitute life.Key words: Eros; Patristics; Love; Soul; The mystical; Virtue; Chastity; Agape.

"Conjugal Love: Integration of Eros and Agape (Deus Caritas est, nn. 1-11)" offers some reflections about this binomium which the first Encyclical of Benedict XVI suggests. Reacting against a ...historical separation between eros and agape, the Pope proposes the integration as something really human and christian also. This integration has positive effects in the human couple.
