The analysis of the epistemological and axiological aspects of Yu.P. Kuznetsov's poetry in general and when implementing the biblical intertext in it in particular is presented. The purpose of the ...work is to study the peculiarities of the realization of the theme of cognition in the works of Yu.P. Kuznetsov in the context of spiritual search and religious exploration of the world. The main goal is to determine, considering the specifics of the type of thinking of the lyrical hero, a set of artistic images of biblical nature, which the author uses while discussing the theme. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the consistent consideration of images and motives of biblical nature related to the problems of gnoseology. Special attention is paid to the consideration of Old Testament images-symbols dating back to the myth of the fall. The main directions of the development of the author's poetic thought regarding the issues of the consistency of scientific knowledge and the idea of progress and related problems of the interaction of rationalistic and intuitive-religious types of thinking are analyzed. It is established that the author prefers a non-rationalistic method of cognition of truth based on the concept of co-creation of man and God, which leads to the sacralization of the creative process and the image of the artist (in the broad sense of the word) as a mediator of the will of God. Kuznetsov uses the religious symbol in order to show the universality and necessity of the intuitively religious approach to cognition that does not depend on specific historical conditions. The poet's interpretation of the biblical image is close to the canon and folk tradition.

Our ability to walk on two legs is not only a characteristic human trait but one of the things that made us human in the first place. Once our ancestors could walk on two legs, they began to do many ...of the things that apes cannot do: cross wide open spaces, manipulate complex tools, communicate with new signal systems, and light fires. Titled after the last two words of Darwin's Descent of Man and written by a leading scholar of human evolution, Lowly Origin is the first book to explain the sources and consequences of bipedalism to a broad audience. Along the way, it accounts for recent fossil discoveries that show us a still incomplete but much bushier family tree than most of us learned about in school. Jonathan Kingdon uses the very latest findings from ecology, biogeography, and paleontology to build a new and up-to-date account of how four-legged apes became two-legged hominins. He describes what it took to get up onto two legs as well as the protracted consequences of that step--some of which led straight to modern humans and others to very different bipeds. This allows him to make sense of recently unearthed evidence suggesting that no fewer than twenty species of humans and hominins have lived and become extinct. Following the evolution of two-legged creatures from our earliest lowly forebears to the present, Kingdon concludes with future options for the last surviving biped. A major new narrative of human evolution, Lowly Origin is the best available account of what it meant--and what it means--to walk on two feet.
In this article the Author focuses on issues related to the widely understood process of translation. The subject of the analysis are mainly Czech and Polish biblical verses which use proper names ...(geographical terminology and executive functions performed). At this point, the Author analyses cultural elements - perceived as figure translation – that is the way they were transferred from the source text to the target text. During the process of translation one may observe the phenomenon associated with both foreignization and domestication (depending on the kind of translation). One is also dealing with a mirror image of the original text, widely understood linguistic adaptation and conversion, direct transfer, definitional development, the so-called metatranslational mistakes consisting in reducing the cultural element or functional equivalence translation. The translated biblical realities narrowed down to, for example, geographical names, means of payment or executive functions performed may be connected with cognitive models, sometimes giving them different terminology, which could be culturally conditioned.

Spośród zwierząt realnych omówiliśmy: strusia, węża, koguta, kruka i czaplę, z fantastycznych zaś: mrówkolwa, jednorożca, Behemota i Lewiatana. Fragmenty z omawianego komentarza podajemy w tłumaczeniu własnym, ponieważ poza naszą monografią i artykułami nie posiadamy na gruncie polskim ani międzynarodowym szczegółowych opracowań dotyczących anonimowego Commentarii in Job.
