To prove the positive association between resilience and clinical communication ability among Chinese nursing students, and to determine whether coping styles play a mediating role in the ...relationship between them.Four hundred and seventy-one nursing students from a traditional Chinese Medical university were enrolled in this study. They completed some questionnaires, which included the Chinese Version of the Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire (SCSQ), Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale Chinese Version, and Clinical Communication Ability Scale. Structural equation modeling was utilized to analyses the relationships between coping styles, resilience, and clinical communication ability.Resilience was positively associated with clinical communication ability (P < .01). Coping styles which included positive coping and negative coping both significantly affected clinical communication ability (P < .01) and intermediated the relationship between resilience and clinical communication ability (P < .01).Resilience is positively related to clinical communication ability among Chinese nursing students, and coping styles intermediated the relationship between them, which may provide scientific evidence to aid in developing intervention strategies to improve interpersonal skills.
This study aims to test the MCA (Mathematical Communication Ability) in Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted Probing Prompting Technique (PBL PP), to achieve learning mastery, to know the ...average ratio of MCA of students on learning model of PBL PP and PBL only, to differ the MCA of male students with female students in PBL PP, and to describe MCA of students based on gender difference. The results of this research are the MCA’s students with PBL PP learning reaches the learning mastery, the average ratio of MCA in PBL PP is better than PBL model, the MCA of male and female students have no significant difference, and there are some differences of MCA in each indicators based on gender difference.
Purpose
The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of salesperson empathy, both cognitive and affective, on business-to-business buyer-salesperson relational outcomes. Specifically, the ...direct impact of empathy is examined in relation to both the salesperson’s communication ability and customer-oriented behavior. The impact of empathy is then examined as a direct and indirect influencer of satisfaction with the salesperson and commitment to the salesperson.
Design/methodology/approach
To attain the objective of this research, an empirical study was conducted using 248 business-to-business purchasing agents.
Findings
The study found that cognitive empathy and affective empathy had a positive relationship with customer-oriented behaviors, information communication ability and commitment to the salesperson. However, only cognitive empathy was found to have a positive relationship with customer’s satisfaction with the salesperson.
Originality/value
Although empathy has found to have a positive effect on sales, sales research has yet to provide conclusive evidence on whether cognitive empathy and affective empathy would have a similar effect on a salesperson-customer relationship. This study provides evidence that not all facets of empathy influence relational outcomes the same way and differ in magnitude. This provides strong support for the importance of studying the impact of empathy from a faceted viewpoint rather than a uni-dimensional perspective when examining the influence on buyer-seller relational outcomes.
Objective
This study evaluated family of origin adversity and later marital satisfaction, and the possible moderating role of relational communication ability of husbands and wives.
Background
Family ...of origin adversity, including parental marital conflict, has a significant negative relationship with offspring's marital decisions, dynamics, and outcomes. Because people with family of origin adversity cannot change their past experiences, studying moderating factors could be helpful for couples' marital satisfaction.
Method
This study examined dyadic data from the Couple Relationships and Transition Experience (CREATE) study, a nationally representative sample of 1,471 newlywed couples in the United States. The study employed an actor–partner interdependence model to evaluate communication as a moderator for links between family of origin adversity and relationship satisfaction.
Results
The study confirmed the negative relationship between family of origin adversity and subsequent marital satisfaction for actors and partners for both husbands and wives. Further, the study found that relational communication ability by either partner offset negative links between wives' family of origin adversity and husbands' martial satisfaction, but not wives' martial satisfaction.
Conclusion
This study confirmed the salience of family of origin adversity as couples establish new marriages. It also highlighted the value of communication as a possible path toward intervention regarding negative experiences from a family of origin, particularly when considering connections between wives' family of origin adversity and husbands' relationship satisfaction.
Implications
This research suggests couple communication may be a valuable tool with application for couples, family life educators, and couple therapists as they help couples successfully navigate difficulties from their families of origin.
The theoretical part describes the bases for the communication process and its disruption in a broader context, focusing on school age and reflection in the current and educational communication ...situation. The research part offers the results of the survey, which results from long-term cooperation with two primary schools of inclusive type, in which pupils with different forms of special educational needs are educated. In these schools, precisely, in these classrooms in which pupils with impaired communication ability were educated, the activities aimed at strengthening communicative competence and social ties were carried out at regular intervals during one school year.

Abstract The UCSD Performance-Based Skills Assessment (UPSA) is a performance-based measure of functional capacity. The brief, two-domain (finance and communication ability) version of the assessment ...(UPSA-B) is now widely used in both clinical research and treatment trials. To date, research has not examined possible demographic-UPSA-B relationships within a non-psychiatric population. We aimed to produce and describe preliminary normative scores for the UPSA-B over a full range of ages and educational attainment. The finance and communication subscales of the UPSA were administered to 190 healthy participants in the context of three separate studies. These data were combined to examine the effects of age, sex, and educational attainment on the UPSA-B domain and total scores. Fractional polynomial regression was used to compute demographically-corrected T-scores for the UPSA-B total score, and percentile rank conversion was used for the two subscales. Age and education both had significant non-linear effects on the UPSA-B total score. The finance subscale was significantly related to both gender and years of education, whereas the communication subscale was not significantly related to any of the demographic characteristics. Demographically corrected T-scores and percentile ranks for UPSA-B scores are now available for use in clinical research.
Title: Gender Typical in Communicating Middle School Mathematical Problem Solving. The emphasis of mathematics learning, especially students' communication skills, needs to be considered from gender ...equality in solving mathematical problems. This study aims to describe: 1) the potential Mathematical Communication Skills (MCS) of students based on gender; 2) gender equality in communicating mathematical problem solving, and 3) the suitability of the form of the model or the applied form to develop students' MCS based on gender at school. This research is descriptive qualitative research conducted on all junior high school students in Langsa with a purposive sampling technique of 283 students. The data were collected through MCS and questionnaire tests which were analyzed descriptively using the concept of Miles and Huberman. The results showed that: 1) MCS of female students were better than male students in solving mathematical problems; 2) MCS of male students are better in suburban schools and female students are better in downtown schools, and 3) learning implementation plans are still limited in emphasizing MCS and learning tends to be cooperative and individual. It is recommended that learning plans refer to developing MCS that pay attention to students' gender equality in order to optimize mathematical problem-solving.
Culture is inescapable in education, incorporating cross-cultural dialogue and serving as the foundation of Chinese foreign education (CIE). This study aims to investigate, from the standpoint of ...intercultural communication, the impact of sports on the development of a positive psychological climate in CIE. The study employed quantitative and qualitative methods, collected data through tests, classroom observation, and interviews, and conducted a quasi-experimental comparison of the experimental group learning CIE and culture curriculum and the control group learning traditional language skills curriculum. This study determined that the experimental group's cross-cultural attitude improved more rapidly after the systematic study of cultural courses, which plays a more significant influence in fostering a positive psychological climate in CIE. In addition, the study indicated that culture is transmitted through language and that cultural elements play an essential role in language acquisition. In addition, most learners of a second language originate from nations and areas with different cultural backgrounds than the target language. Comparing one's culture with students and determining the most effective cross-cultural communication strategies are essential for teaching.
The general terms of complex disorders of brain development are Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and autism. Difficulties in social interaction, verbal and nonverbal communication and repetitive ...behaviors are characteristics of this disorders. So an interactive application is proposed which will help an autistic child in his or her speech ability along with the verbal communication ability. A complete guide has been prepared to help the caretaker in curing of autism. Also doctors can be contacted whenever needed through the contact numbers specified according to the location of the patient. As children loves to learn new things visually we developed a real time pictographic images to teach them about the known things in their surroundings. Moreover, the child will also be taught about small sentences along with the basic mathematics. Their progress can be evaluated through the module.
