This paper first traces the development of competencies for professional evaluators and identifies interpersonal competencies as a key component of evaluator education in the future. It then outlines ...two roles for evaluators that may affect the application of interpersonal competencies, discusses four ideas for their development, and briefly addresses the possibility of evaluation capacity building. It concludes with a brief discussion of where and how evaluator training or education might effectively teach these competencies and know that people had learned them.
Background: The Covid-19 Pandemic has emphasized the need for evaluators to reorient their skills based on ongoing learnings from evaluations. As a result, evaluators must possess a variety of ...competencies to meet the challenges created by such unprecedented circumstances. Purpose: Using existing literature about evaluators' competencies and the experiences of conducting evaluations during pandemic, this paper proposes a set of competencies that enable an evaluator to collaborate meaningfully with grassroots organizations and co-design evaluations with communities that empower evaluators to think beyond the boundaries of a project intervention towards achieving a larger goal. Setting: Covid 19 Pandemic and evaluation practice in India Intervention: NA Research Design: Case study with interpretive approach Data Collection and analysis: NA Findings: The paper suggests that acquiring 'strategic thinking' and 'emotional intelligence and resilience' strengthens evaluators' competencies to be flexible and innovative in evolving evaluation methods.

In our knowledge society and economy, doctoral education is increasingly considered as a means to produce knowledge workers to feed the needs of the global employment market. This raises concerns ...about the competencies developed through doctoral training. Surprisingly, only a few studies have addressed this question and most of them are restricted to very limited populations or lack empirical evidences. In this context, we performed a national survey answered by 2794 PhDs. From the data collected, we built a reference framework containing 111 competencies organized in 6 main categories. From statistical analysis, we identified a set of 'core' competencies that are shared by doctorate holders (Microsoft Excel spreadsheet Chi squared goodness-of-fit test, alpha level .05). This study therefore demonstrates that PhDs develop a set of common competencies and delineate its boundaries.

This paper reports on a case study that explored the broader contextual factors influencing the implementation of the CompHP Core Competencies at a country level in Ireland and Italy between 2011 and ...2018. The sample comprised key informants who were Health Promotion experts and were knowledgeable about how the competencies had been used in their country. These experts formed National Reference Groups that guided the research process in each country and helped identify additional key informants. Qualitative methods were utilized consisting of a desk review and semi-structured interviews. The data from each country were analyzed separately using a thematic analysis approach, with the findings then compared and reviewed by the National Reference Groups. A total of 26 interviews were completed (13 in each country). The findings show that both the focus and rate of progress of implementing the competencies differed across the two countries and that this reflected their levels of Health Promotion infrastructure and capacity development. A lack of awareness of the competencies was identified as a major limiting factor in implementation in both countries, of particular concern in relation to employers and decision-makers. While the case study focused on implementing the competencies in two European countries, there are insights from their experience that can inform implementation in other countries. The study also begins to address the gap in empirical evidence on the use and impact of Health Promotion competencies and the factors that influence their implementation.
Digital transformation has generated a multifaceted shift in the financial industry through financial technology (FinTech). This study focuses on the effect that a series of the most impactful ...technological tools adopted by banks have on their business model, with a special focus on the evolution of human capital and traditional capital intensity in the sector. To our knowledge, the latter represents a gap in current intellectual capital literature that our paper aims to fill by investigating the impact of digital transformation on human capital efficiency and intensity in the European banking system. Our data on 1,250 banks in the European Union suggest the banking sector is going through a transformation of its very core business model, further translated into improved efficiency and profitability. Evidence highlights a shift of banking institutions towards a more capital-intensive model, contradicting centuries-old business traditions, as well as a simultaneous rise in the competency level and intensity of highly qualified human capital that shape the new model.
Education is a constantly evolving field, driven by the increasing demand for innovative teaching methods. Teachers, often seen as the cornerstone of education, assume a multifaceted role that ...extends beyond the classroom. They actively engage in educational research, contributing significantly to the advancement of teaching and learning. This study aimed to collect, analyze, and comprehend the perceptions of teachers at the Philippine Science High School-Ilocos Region Campus in conducting and writing meaningful research. Utilizing a quantitative research approach, the study includes twenty-five (25) teachers from the Philippine Science High School-Ilocos Region Campus as respondents. A researcher-developed survey questionnaire, designed based on existing literature, serves as the primary data collection tool. Key findings from this research reveal that: teachers tend to hold a relatively negative perception of research-related factors within their school environment; teachers maintain a positive stance toward research in their professional roles; teachers are intrinsically motivated by research in their professional development; teachers recognize the presence of research-related difficulties within their professional roles; teachers exhibit a strong aptitude for planning research-related activities; teachers demonstrate impressive writing skills in the context of research. In summary, this study sheds light on the perceptions and experiences of teachers engaged in research activities at the Philippine Science High School-Ilocos Region Campus. It highlights the nuanced dynamics of their involvement, from mixed perceptions of research support to their unwavering motivation and commendable skills in planning and writing research papers. This research provides valuable insights for educators and institutions seeking to enhance research engagement and productivity among their teaching staff.
Organisational capability is considered as organisations developing its strength ofcompetencies in the midst of economic hardship, and when faced with stiff competition so as to secure aplace ...especially with its workforce in this present dynamic business environment. Research information management (RIM) and reporting is an emerging, heterogeneous field of work for which there is currently no systematic overview of the performed tasks and required competencies. ...Such an overview would be valuable for training, further education and recruiting. This paper presents data on task areas and competency requirements from a national survey of personnel responsible for RIM, CRIS management and reporting in Germany (N =224). With the help of a factor-analytical design, we were able to identify task profiles, such as System development & data modeling and Communication with stakeholders. The task profiles were then compared with a competency model which we developed to support further education and recruiting in research information management. Implications for further development of the competency model are discussed.
