Three men, an RAF officer and a pilot instructor and pupil were killed when a Gloucester ...Gauntlet Plane from Duxford and a de Havilland Tiger Moth plane collided in midair and crashed in flames at Smallford, near St Albans, Hertfordshire._x000D_
The service plane fell in a field adjoining a brickyard and the civil machine, crashed into a gravel pit, causing 20 men to run for their lives._x000D_
