This study aims at evaluating new service development (NSD) process of renewable energy investments. A novel fuzzy hybrid multi-criteria decision-making model is then introduced. Firstly, selected ...criteria are weighted with a multi stepwise weight assessment ratio analysis (M-SWARA) methodology based on bipolar q-rung orthopair fuzzy sets (q-ROFSs) and golden cut. Secondly, balanced scorecard (BSC)-based project network for the NSD process of renewable energy investments is constructed. These alternatives are ranked by using the elimination and choice translating reality (ELECTRE) approach with bipolar q-ROFSs and golden cut. Afterwards, the Project Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT) diagram is developed by defining immediate predecessors based on the ranking results. Consequently, different paths are created to understand effective ways to generate NSD process. Our findings will show the crucial processes for the NSD process of renewable energy investments, and the PERT analysis will provide optimal paths to increase the performance of NSD process of the renewable energies. It is concluded that analysis is the most critical NSD process for clean energy investment projects. The findings indicate that the shortest path is defined as Path 2 with 48.6% of the total importance degree. On the other hand, the longest path is determined as Path 1 with 100%. Path 4 has the weakest importance with 65.2% in comparison to Path 3 with 83.4% with respect to the comparison same activity numbers. It is strongly recommended that both technical and financial aspects should be evaluated with necessary research while generating new products. This issue can have a positive contribution to the early solution of any potential problems.

This study aims to rank sustainable industry alternatives in emerging markets based on the directional impact relations of the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) index components for a ...socially and environmentally conscious investment strategy. To achieve this goal, we employ a golden cut-enhanced quantum spherical fuzzy decision-making approach. Specifically, we first use a quantum spherical fuzzy DEMATEL technique to identify the impact-relation directions and the weights of the ESG criteria set. Second, we employ the extended TOPSIS with the quantum spherical fuzzy sets to rank the industry alternatives concerning their directional ESG performances. The findings show that (i) H20 Emissions, Innovation, Community Investment, Gender Equity, Human Rights, and CSR Strategy are the main influencing factors based on their impact-relations directional scores, (ii) Resource Usage, Product Responsibility, and Shareholders’ Rights are the set of criteria under the influence of remaining ESG, (iii) Innovation is the strongest ESG performance criterion, whereas Human Rights is the weakest, (iv) technology and communication are the best-performing industries based on the directional ESG index performance scores, whereas real estate and basic materials industries are the worst performing. The study provides valuable and actionable insights for companies that aim to make socially responsible investments.
•Sustainable industry alternatives in emerging markets are ranked based on ESG index.•The golden cut-enhanced quantum spherical fuzzy decision-making approach is used.•H2O Emissions, Innovation, Community Investment found to be the influencing factors.•Innovation came out to be the strongest ESG performance criterion.•Technology and communication are found to the best-performing industries.
Energy costs are the key factors regarding the selection of appropriate renewable energy (RWG) alternatives. All costs of a power plant, such as investment, operation, maintenance, and repair are ...considered in the scope of levelized costs. Therefore, for the effective determination of the selling price of the energy, levelized cost has a guiding role. Because the levelized costs of RWG alternatives develop the sustainable production and energy consumption for the long term, the leading indicators of these costs should be analyzed significantly. Accordingly, in this study, it is aimed to investigate the levelized cost of RWG alternatives by using bipolar q-rung orthopair fuzzy (q-ROF) hybrid decision-making approach. The novelty of this study is to recommend an integrated decision-making model based on bipolar and q-ROFSs with golden cut. At the first stage, bipolar q-ROF multi stepwise weight assessment ratio analysis (M-SWARA) is employed for weighting the selected criteria of levelized costs of RWG alternatives. At the following stage, bipolar q-ROF technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) is considered to rank the alternatives in terms of the levelized cost performance. On the other side, vise kriterijumska optimizacija i kompromisno resenje (VIKOR) model is also considered to rank the alternatives. In addition to this issue, the sensitivity analysis is also performed with four cases comparatively. Hence, consistency, reliability and coherency of the proposed model can be measured. It is identified that capacity loss has the greatest importance regarding the levelized cost of RWG projects. Solar is found as the best clean energy type with respect to the levelized cost management performance. In this context, it would be appropriate for investors to design projects close to the center. This will contribute to increasing the efficiency and productivity of these projects.
A new hybrid fuzzy decision-making model is created in this study to evaluate significant factors of renewable energy storage investments and select the appropriate energy types. The factors are ...analyzed with golden cut-oriented bipolar q-rung orthopair fuzzy (q-ROF) multi-stepwise weight assessment ratio analysis (M-SWARA). Moreover, alternatives are examined by golden cut-oriented bipolar q-ROF elimination and choice translating reality (ELECTRE). The calculations are also made with IFSs and PFSs to measure the reliability. This study gives a novel approach to selection problem of renewable energy storage investments with golden cut, bipolar, and q-ROFSs. It is identified that capacity protection has the greatest weight with respect to the storage investments. Additionally, regarding the ranking results, solar is the best clean energy alternative for the energy storage. Hence, investors should give priorities avoiding the delays with the full capacity of renewable energy production. Minimizing the energy loss in the energy storage process will contribute to the increase in performance. In this way, it will be possible to ensure sustainability by increasing the profitability of the projects. It would be the right decision for investors to prioritize solar energy projects to increase their energy storage efficiency. Especially in recent years, very important technological developments have occurred for energy storage process in solar energy projects. Therefore, by prioritizing the solar energy for this purpose, the sustainability of the energy projects can be provided.
This article is dedicated analyzing the interdependence of oil prices and exchange rate movements of oil exporting countries (the Russian ruble, Euro, Canadian dollar, Chinese yuan, Brazil real, ...Nigerian naira, Algerian dinar). The study also considers risk-based oil market spillovers in global crisis periods with integrated decision recommendation systems. For this purpose, a fuzzy decision-making model is created by considering the bipolar model and imputation of expert evaluations with collaborative filtering. The main contribution of this study is both its econometric analysis and evaluations based on expert opinions. This helps reach more crucial results. All three of the recent shocks (2008, 2012, 2020) in the oil market are transmitted to foreign exchange markets of oil-producing countries. At the same time, the last shock of 2020 caused by the COVID-19 pandemic has not yet been fully reflected on the Russian ruble exchange rate. Correlation parameters became weaker in the last year, as the Russian ruble correlation coefficient fluctuates between − 0.5 and 0.5. However, before 2020 the spillover effect had a higher significance (in the range from − 0.8 to − 0.1). Nigerian naira and Algerian dinar were showing almost the same movements, while the Russian Ruble was in a different trading range.
This research paper analyzes revenue trends in e-commerce, a sector with an annual sales volume of more than 340 billion dollars. The article evaluates, despite a scarcity of data, the effects on ...e-commerce development of the ubiquitous lockdowns and restriction measures introduced by most countries during the pandemic period. The analysis covers monthly data from January 1996 to February 2021. The research paper analyzes relative changes in the original time series through the autocorrelation function. The objects of this analysis are Amazon and Alibaba, as they are benchmarks in the e-commerce industry. This paper tests the shock effect on the e-commerce companies Alibaba in China and Amazon in the USA, concluding that it is weaker for companies with small market capitalizations. As a result, the effect on estimated e-trade volume in the USA was approximately 35% in 2020. Another evaluation considers fuzzy decision-making methodology. For this purpose, balanced scorecard-based open financial innovation models for the e-commerce industry are weighted with multistepwise weight assessment ratio analysis based on q-rung orthopair fuzzy sets and the golden cut. Within this framework, a detailed analysis of competitors should be made. The paper proves that this situation positively affects the development of successful financial innovation models for the e-commerce industry. Therefore, it may be possible to attract greater attention from e-commerce companies for these financial innovation products.
Green energy projects contribute to sustainable economic development of countries with the employment of environmentally friendly energy production strategies. However, environmental priorities ...should be examined for this situation. Therefore, priority analysis should be executed for the environmental issues while implementing green investment projects. Accordingly, this study aims at proposing a unique decision-making model based on orthopair fuzzy sets and the golden cut degrees for the environmental priorities of green project investments. The main novelty of the study stems from its proposed integrated model by equipping the Multi-SWARA, and TOPSIS based on the q-ROFSs technique with the golden cut. A set of criteria is identified for measuring the green projects' environmental priorities while several project alternatives are also determined with the supporting literature. Appropriately, the extensions of Multi-SWARA and TOPSIS methods have been applied for weighting and ranking the factors, respectively, in the integrated approach. Additionally, a comparative evaluation is performed with the help of VIKOR method to rank the alternatives. Besides, the sensitivity analysis is applied to illustrate the coherency of the weighting results in the decision-making approach. Accordingly, 5 cases are considered to measure the effects of changing weight results. It is defined that this model is coherent and could be extended for further studies. It is concluded that the reduction of emissions is the most essential item for the environmental priorities of green project investments. Pollution control, waste management and eco-friendly transportation activities are the most critical alternatives. Therefore, this study recommends that investors of green projects should prioritize the strategies of minimizing carbon emissions problem. In this context, investing in renewable energy technologies will help green project investors solve this problem.
This study aims to create a strategy for reducing energy costs in hospitals to ensure the sustainability of health services. In this framework, a novel hybrid decision making approach is generated ...based on golden cut-oriented bipolar and q-rung orthopair fuzzy sets (q-ROFs). Firstly, balanced scorecard (BSC)-based criteria are evaluated by using multi stepwise weight assessment ratio analysis (M-SWARA) approach. Secondly, alternatives are examined with the help of technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) technique. The novelty of this study is to find critical factors that affect the energy costs of health institutions with an original fuzzy decision-making model. This proposed model has also some superiorities by comparing with previous models in the literature. First, SWARA method is improved, and this technique is generated with the name of M-SWARA. Hence, the relationship between the criteria can be examined owing to this issue. Additionally, golden cut is taken into consideration to compute the degrees in bipolar q-ROFSs to achieve more accurate results. These two issues have an important impact on the originality of the proposed model. The findings demonstrate that consciousness level of employees has the highest weight with respect to the energy costs in hospitals. Additionally, the type of energy used also plays a significant role for this issue. Thus, renewable energy sources should be considered in meeting the energy needs of hospitals. Although the installation costs of these energy types are higher, it will be possible to significantly reduce energy costs in the long run.
