Literary hybridity necessitated by cultural differences is a distinct feature of Postcolonial Europhone African Literatures. This is evident in Chimamanda Adichie's Purple Hibiscus (2000). This paper ...examines the hybridity in the source text (ST) and their translation from English into German. Instances of hybridity in the source text and their translation were identified. This highlights the translation strategies in the process of analyzing the translation choices and their implications, especially in transferring culture-specific elements in the source text into the target text (TT). Some challenges of intercultural translation are discussed in relation to the reflection of the author's style in literary translation. The paper reveals the consciousness of the translator to preserve the culture-specific elements that portray the author's culture and purpose through the adoption of ethnocentric strategies. Nida's equivalence theory was adopted to examine the translation of cultural phrases to determine how they were transferred to German language, and also discuss the implications of some choices made by the translator in propelling intercultural dialogue through translation. The study concludes that the translator's effort to strike a balance between the source and the target text was challenged as a result of inability to provide explanation for some unexplained culture-specific terms of vernacular origin in the source text.

This research has the purpose of analyzing the material provision of popular democracy as the validity of human rights in today's societies. It is a bibliographical study of a diachronic nature from the deductive rationalist approach. He insists that the administration of the means of production by a few, in liberal democracy or in statism, causes injustice by generating classist, racist and sexist societies. Contrary to the capitalist configuration, the equitable distribution of productive structures causes just societies, by allowing the various human associations to use goods to meet collective needs instead of validating the accumulation of capital. Consequently, it promotes the characteristic values of intercultural dialogue as a basis for consensus that allows communities to deliberate in favor of highlighting the inherent dignity of life. The contemporary society is characterised by a strong presence of different religious expressions, both traditional and new, community-based and individual. Therefore, we speak of a post-secular age ...in which there is a continuous exchange between beliefs and non-beliefs in everyday life. In this sense, the religious question takes on an increasingly intercultural connotation in the continuous biographical exchanges among people who give different existential meanings according to their own conscience. It is precisely the dimension of meaning, determined by the choice of values, based on a perspective linked to Frankl’s existential analysis and logotherapy, that will be the subject of this contribution. In particular, proposing a theoretical approach to the question (also based on empirical studies), we will outline what could be some aspects of Frankl’s psychology useful to lay the foundation of an educational stance on religiosity that could promote a democratic and supportive coexistence within an intercultural horizon.
In the midst of globalisation, intercultural dialogue has become a necessity in today's society, contributing to the development of the ability to learn from experience and to empathetically resonate ...with other points of view. Interculturality, being a set of psychological, relational, group or institutional processes, involves interaction between different cultural communities, which are in mutual exchange but at the same time preserve their cultural identity. Interculturality is a UNESCO objective, which sees it as a dynamic relationship between the development of relations between different cultural groups, with a view to equitable interaction and the possibility of exchanging cultural expressions through dialogue. Interculturality is also a component of the new secondary school curricula (2017), as the need for effective participation of today's young people in social and professional life is well known. Pupils must actively face the multi-ethnic and multicultural character of society in order to relate to this diversity in a constructive and positive way. Intercultural dialogue can help to bring young people into line with European values and educational standards, create mechanisms for collaboration and promote multicultural experiences.
