With the COVID-19 pandemic sweeping the world, there is an increased focus on intergenerational relationships, community mental health issues, and well-being in community contexts. This paper ...assesses the effectiveness of a co-creation approach for intergenerational integration at the theoretical level. The study used a collaborative co-creation design method in the community design process to explore whether the participation of community residents of all ages in addressing community issues promoted communication and alleviated stereotyping between the various generations. This study was conducted in Shanghai's Hongqiao New Village square, where we conducted participatory research and co-creation workshops in response to the demand for the use of the public space as a location for social interactions. The results showed that intervention in community creation through collaborative design is conducive to promoting friendly relations among different age groups, forming a sense of social security and thus enhancing social well-being. Finally, this paper combines practical cases and theoretical models of collaborative co-creative design approaches to promote the intergenerational integration of communities and is summarized from the input and output parts as well as the influencing factors and constraints of the collaborative co-creative. In addition, it provides new ideas on how to improve intergenerational relationships and form a positive and sustainable community mental health environment in the future.
The Polish diaspora is one of the largest in the world. Australia's 2011 census identifies 48 611 born in Poland and 170 000 claiming Polish ancestry. Using the census, we assess the structural ...(socio-economic) and spatial integration of the first (Poles who arrived in the post-World War II period as largely displaced persons and refugees), second (their children) and third (grandchildren) generations, and compare the first generation with another cohort: the skilled first-generation ('Solidarity') immigrants who arrived in the 1980s and early 1990s. Key OECD indicators of integration-education attainment, proficiency in English, employment status and occupational progression, home ownership, naturalisation, return rates and patterns of residential distribution-are examined. Results point to their successful integration, with high levels of labour market participation, earnings, and naturalisation, levels of spatial integration as exemplified in a Melbourne case study (where the highest proportions of those of Polish birth or ancestry reside), return migration and language retention, and levels of owner-occupied housing (the 'middle-class dream') higher than among Australians generally.
This study defined intergenerational integration in communities at a theoretical level and verified whether a series of measures could facilitate negotiation and communication between community ...residents and other stakeholders to generate a positive and healthy community environment and gradually improve intergroup relations. Specifically, we applied community psychology and used Hongqiao New Village in Shanghai, China, as a research site to explore intergenerational conflict in public community spaces. The research was divided into two stages: an input stage and an output stage. In the input stage, participatory research and tea parties were used to deeply explore residents' public space requirements. In the output stage, we tested the validity of the theory by using the Intergenerational Attitude Scale to investigate whether the intergenerational relationships were changed by the co-creation intervention. The results showed that the intervention caused a decrease in the incidence of conflict between residents using the square and caused some children to join the older groups in their activities. We thus propose a theoretical system model of intergenerational integration strategies that incorporates elements of integration, disagreement, and synergy in intergenerational interactions. Overall, this paper provides new ideas for building a community environment that supports mental health and improves intergenerational relationships and social well-being.

Demographic analyses indicate an ongoing and global process of ageing of societies, which results from two phenomena, on the one hand rising life expectancy, on the other declining birth rate. A ...circumstance that has never existed before in such a large dimension is the possibility of interaction among representatives of several generations. This is of an unquestionable value, but at the same time poses numerous challenges, particularly in terms of mutual obligations and intergenerational solidarity. The quality of social relationships depends on how representatives of each generation respond to each other. The most complex situation seems to be that of the oldest members of the society. It is them who most often experience age discrimination. The article presents the results of a survey conducted to obtain the opinions of representatives of various age groups on ageing and old age, as well as the place of the elderly in social space. The collected empirical data also enabled the author to determine the factors differentiating opinions within the respondent group.
Originality/Value: The value added of this paper is to draw attention to the role of physical activity in shaping intergenerational relations and social integration. In addition, it seems interesting ...to use conditional formatting as a method of data analysis.

Purpose
– The purpose of this paper is to explore the value, often overlooked, inherent within a society where people are living longer, healthier and more productively than ever before.
...Design/methodology/approach
– This paper is a summary of the activities, achievements and objectives of “The Age of No Retirement” movement for social change since its inception on 1st October 2014.
Findings
– The spectacular demand for new thinking and design-led action across all sectors of society to break down the ageist stereotypes that are impeding age-neutral societal progress in the UK.
Practical implications
– Communities, employers, individuals – EVERYONE – can begin to harness the incredible power of the Xtra 10 (the extra ten years of healthy life expectancy that modern generations can now expect – in the middle of their lives!).
Social implications
– The social implications are almost limitless – for a new era of over-50 makers, designers, entrepreneurs, workers, leaders, learners, teachers, doers, intergenerational catalysts, etc., the list goes on.
Originality/value
– The Age of No Retirement is a design-led social enterprise that is driving new thinking in the Age space.
Međugeneracijska integracija je idealan oblik ostvarivanja međugeneracijske solidarnosti, koja ima veliku važnost i danas, kao i uvijek, zbog sve većeg porasta starije populacije. Malo je stvari koje ...doprinose činjenici da starije osobe mogu doživljavati svoj život kao nešto vrijedno, kao i činjenicu da je mlađa generacija ozbiljno koristi svoja životna iskustva i sluša starije. Mladi ljudi koji se druže s drugim generacijama imaju pozitivniji pogled na starenje i stjeću uzor za vlastitu starost. Studija je utvrdila utjecaj stare generacije na mlađe, a naglašava se svjestan napor za očuvanje i jačanje međugeneracijskih odnosa, kao potrebe koja mora biti zadovoljena za postizanje kvalitetnog starenja.
The Cyber Family program was developed by the Research Institute of Science for the Better Living of the Elderly (RISBLE) in 2006 with funding from the Korean Commission for Youth. Through the use of ...a website(www.wellageing.com), the program brought elders together with a younger generation of middle school students. This program encouraged the young and older generations to have open discussions on topics centered around living a meaningful life, thus promoting intergenerational integration. The Cyber Family Program utilized cyberspace to create dialogue on the website and conducted several offline events. The participants were students from 6 middle schools and 20 older persons who are members of RISBLE. The older adults, rather than giving advice, responded with sympathy toward the youth who expressed issues they had with identity. After listening to the youth express the inner chaos that they often seemed to feel, the elders responded with loving and caring comments, and a bond across generations was formed. The Cyber Family program proved to be a successful intergenerational program and way for older persons to achieve greater social integration
