Liječenje kronične boli velik je izazov u kliničkoj praksi. Jedan od razloga jest nedovoljno poznavanje neurobiologije i patofiziologije kompleksnih kroničnih bolnih stanja. Svaka kronična bol ima ...akutnu fazu pa se postavlja pitanje bi li pravodobna učinkovita terapija spriječila složene patofiziološke procese koji dovode do kronifikacije boli. Soli ibuprofena, primjerice ibuprofen-lizin, osiguravaju brz nastup djelovanja te intenzivniji i dugotrajniji analgetski učinak u odnosu prema standardnom obliku ibuprofena, uz smanjenje potrebe za remedikacijom.
Experimental diets with 0.5% L-lysine (HCl) having 25, 30, 35 and 40% protein were formulated with purified ingredients except soya meal. At each protein level a diet devoid of L-lysine was used as ...control. Performance parameters were assessed by conducting feeding trail experiments in pearl spot (Etroplus suratensis) for a period of 41 days. Irrespective of the dietary protein levels, growth of E. suratensis was higher in fish received L-lysine supplemented diets when compared to those reared on control diets. The data on feed conversion ratio (FCR) revealed that the effect of L-lysine supplementation was significantly higher (P < 0.05) at low protein diets (25 and 30%) fed fish than the others. The influence of L-lysine supplementation on Specific Growth Rate (SGR) of E. suratensis was more pronounced at low protein levels than those reared at high protein levels. The protein consumption rate of E. suratensis fed with diets having 25 and 35% protein was higher than that of fish reared on control diet at the same protein level. Similarly the protein production rate was 20.37, 19.74, 3.55 and 3.64 % more than those received diets devoid of L-lysine respectively at 25, 30, 35 and 40% protein levels. The protein utilization efficiency ratio ranged between 73.73 +/- 1.35 to 85.95 +/- 0.72 % and 76.49 +/- 0.99 to 86.21 +/- 0.51 % for the control and the experimental diets fed fishes, respectively. The Protein Production Value (PPV) was greater in the experimental diets fed fish than those fed with control diets and the variation between them was statistically significant (P < 0.05) for those fish reared on low protein diets.

In this research smoking and canning techniques were applied to cultured mussels (Mytilus galloprovincialis, L.) from the Çanakkkale Strait in Eceabat, Turkey. Mussels that were smoked by liquid and ...traditional methods were canned in different sauces. The chemical composition and amino acid composition of the canned smoked mussels were determined by the results of laboratory analyses. As a result of smoking and canning mussels, a food with high nutritional value was obtained. It was determined that the heat applied to the product during smoking and canning did not effect amino acid composition negatively and that if any losses occur, they may be replaced by the sauce contents.
Bu araştırmada Çanakkale boğazı Eceabat mevkii'nde kültür yoluyla üretilen midye (Mytilus galloprovincialis, L.)ye tütsüleme ve konserveleme teknikleri uygulanmıştır. Likid ve geleneksel yöntemle tütsü aroması kazandırılmış midyeler, farklı sos içeriklerinde konservelenmiştir. Tütsülenmiş-konservelenmiş midyelerin kimyasal kompozisyon ve amino asit kompozisyonu laboratuvar analiz sonuçları ile belirlenmiştir. Midyelerin tütsülenerek konservelenmesi neticesinde besin değeri yüksek bir ürün ortaya çıkmıştır. Tütsüleme ve konserveleme sonucu ürünlere uygulanan sıcaklığın amino asit kompozisyonunu olumsuz yönde etkilemediği; olabilecek kayıpların ise konserve sos içerikleriyle giderildiği tespit edilmiştir.

Metabolism and growth trials were conducted to study true digestible methionine (tMet) and lysine (tLys) requirements for growing Lohmann egg-type cockerels and to evaluate the effects of 2 dietary ...tMet levels and 4 tLys levels in a factorial arrangement on growth, nitrogen balance and serum biochemical indices. In the metabolism trial, 20 caecectomised and anus-stitch-surgery healthy adult male birds were used to determine the true digestibility of Met and Lys. In the growth trial, 30 Lohmann egg-type cockerels were allocated to each of 32 floor pens (total 960 birds). During the 0-6 week starting period, 2 levels of tMet (0.37, 0.42%) and 4 levels of tLys (0.84, 0.92, 1.00, 1.08%) were fed to birds, while during the 7-10 week finishing period tMet levels were 0.29% and 0.33% and tLys levels 0.73%, 0.80%, 0.87% and 0.94%, respectively. The results showed that the survival rate in all treatments was 100% during the whole period, indicating that levels of tMet and tLys in the experiment had no influence on the rate. Considering the average daily gain (ADG), average daily feed intake (ADFI), feed conversion ratio (FCR), nitrogen retention ratio (N-retention), and serum uric acid (UA) content of all treatments together with Met and Lys digestibility, optimal tMet and tLys levels were 0.42%/l .00% (T7) for the starter diet and 0.33%/0.94% (T8) for the finisher diet. Although serum growth hormone (GH), thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3) contents of chicks indicated significant differences among the treatments during the whole period, the relationship between dietary tMet and tLys levels and serum GH, T4 and T3 contents seemed irregular. The results also showed that there were interactions between tMet and tLys, and that this interaction had influenced ADG, ADFI, FCR, N-retention, serum UA and hormone contents significantly during the whole period.

Changes in proximate composition and amino acid content of frozen (-18 °C) wild sea bass (Dicentrarchus labrax, L. 1758) fillets were investigated during 9 months of storage. Initial protein and lipid contents were 19.75% and 1.22%, respectively, and changed to 19.31% and 3.58% in the 9th month of storage. Amino acid analyses were performed at intervals in the initial, third, sixth and ninth months of storage. The initial ratio of essential/nonessential amino acid (g amino acid/16 g N) was 0.75. The reduction of the ratio was 0.01 in the 3rd month, 0.05 in the 6th month and 0.08 in the 9th month of frozen storage. The most abundant amino acids in sea bass fillets were aspartic acid, glutamic acid and lysine. Methionine, tyrosine and histidine were in lower concentrations than the other amino acids during the frozen storage.
