Kredi Temerrüt Swap (CDS) primleri, ülkelerin kredi riskinin bir göstergesi olarak kabul edilmektedir. Bu çalışmada Türkiye’nin CDS primlerini etkileyen makroekonomik faktörlerin belirlenmesi ...amaçlanmaktadır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda, makroekonomik faktörler arasından dış borç stoku, reel efektif döviz kuru, uluslararası altın ve döviz rezervleri değişkenleri ele alınmış ve 2008:Q4-2022:Q2 dönemi üçer aylık veriler kullanılarak analizler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışma kapsamında Doğrusal Olmayan Otoregresif Gecikmesi Dağıtılmış (NARDL) modeller kullanılarak, makroekonomik faktörlerde meydana gelen pozitif ve negatif şokların etkilerinin ayrı ayrı gözlemlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. NARDL modelinden elde edilen bulgular, dış borç stokunda meydana gelecek artışın CDS primlerinde artışa neden olacağını, dış borç stokunda meydana gelecek azalışın ise CDS primlerinde azalışa neden olacağını göstermektedir. Yine elde edilen sonuçlar, reel efektif döviz kurunda meydana gelecek artışların CDS primlerinde azalışa neden olacağını göstermektedir. Uluslararası döviz rezervlerinde meydana gelecek artışlar CDS primleri üzerinde anlamlı etkiye sahip iken, döviz rezervlerinde meydana gelecek azalışların CDS primleri üzerinde anlamlı etkiye sahip olmadığı belirlenmiştir. Son olarak uluslararası altın rezervleri değerlendirildiğinde, rezervlerin Türkiye’nin CDS primleri üzerinde uzun dönemde etkin olduğu ve etkinin asimetrik olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
Credit Default Swap (CDS) premiums are accepted as an indicator of countries' credit risk. The aim of the study is to determine the macroeconomic factors which affect Turkey's CDS premiums. For this purpose, among the macroeconomic factors external debt stock, real effective exchange rate, international gold and foreign exchange reserves are considered and quarterly data for the period of 2008: Q4-2022: Q2 are analyzed. Within the scope of the study, it is aimed to observe the effects of positive and negative shocks in macroeconomic factors separately by using Nonlinear Autoregressive Delay Distributed (NARDL) models. According to long-term model, it is found that the positive shocks in external debt cause an increase in CDS premiums, negative shocks in external debt cause a decrease in CDS premiums. Moreover, the real effective exchange rate has a negative and statistically significant effect on CDS premiums. In addition, while positive shocks in international foreign exchange reserve have statistically significant effect on CDS premiums, the effects of negative shocks in international foreign exchange reserves are not statistically significant. On the other hand, positive and negative shocks in international gold reserves have statistically significant effect on CDS premiums, and the effect is asymmetrical.
Bu çalışmada Küresel Kriz sonrası sermaye kontrollerine dair teorik ve ampirik literatürün gözden geçirilmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Küresel Kriz sonrasında ortaya çıkan teorik literatür, konjonktür ...karşıtı uygulanan ihtiyati sermaye kontrollerinin, makroekonomik ve finansal istikrarı artırabileceğini savunmaktadır. Aynı dönemde gelişen ampirik literatürde, sermaye kontrollerinin genellikle konjonktür karşıtı kullanılmadığı, fakat Kriz sonrası dönemde bazı ülkelerin kontrolleri konjonktür karşıtı biçimde uygulamayı başardıkları tespit ediliyor. Ayrıca sermaye kontrollerinin hem ihtiyati hem de merkantilist amaçla kullanıldığı, fakat Kriz sonrasında ihtiyati güdünün payının arttığı bulgusuna ulaşılıyor. Çalışmaların çoğunda, sermaye kontrollerinin sermaye girişlerinin bileşimini değiştirmede, para politikası özerkliğini artırmada ve finansal kırılganlıkları hafifletmede etkili olduğu kanıtlanıyor. İlave olarak çok sayıda çalışma, kontrollerin sermaye girişlerinin hacmini ve döviz kuru baskılarını azaltabileceğini buluyor. Diğer yandan, sermaye kontrollerinin diğer ülkeler üzerinde olumsuz yayılma etkilerine yol açabileceği gösteriliyor.
Bu çalışmada 2008 Mortgage konut krizi sonrası 2010-2019 yılları arasında Türkiye’de konut fiyatlarını belirleyen makroekonomik göstergelerin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmada Döviz Kuru, Faiz ...Oranı, Para Arzı, Ekonomik Büyüme ve Tüketici Fiyat Endeksi gibi makroekonomik göstergeler açıklayıcı değişkenler olarak kullanılarak konut fiyatlarını belirleme hususundaki etkileri ortaya çıkarılmaya çalışılmıştır. Konut piyasası ile seçili makroekonomik göstergeler arasındaki uzun dönemli ilişkinin incelenmesinde birim kök testi sonuçları dikkate alınarak Maki Eşbütünleşme Testi (2012) veya ARDL Sınır Testi kullanılmıştır. Ayrıca değişkenler arasındaki nedensellik ilişkisinin belirlenmesinde Hacker ve Hatemi-J (2008) tarafından geliştirilen Bootstrap Toda-Yamamato nedensellik testi kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın sonuçları konut fiyatları ile tüm makroekonomik göstergeler arasında uzun dönemli bir eşbütünleşme ilişkisinin olduğunu göstermektedir. Ayrıca çalışmanın sonucunda, konut fiyat endeksi ile faiz oranları ekonomik büyüme, tüketici fiyat endeksi ve para arzı arasında çift yönlü, konut fiyatlarından döviz kurlarına doğru ise tek yönlü bir nedensellik ilişkisinin varlığı tespit edilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular konut sektöründe yer alan yatırımcılara önemli bilgiler sunmaktadır.
Türkiye’deki tüm işletmelerin %99,8’ini küçük ve orta ölçekli işletmeler oluşturmaktadır. Küçük ve orta ölçekli işletmeler ülkedeki istihdamın %73,8’ini sağlarken, toplam ihracatın %56,3’ünü ...gerçekleştirmektedir. Bu çalışmada küçük ve orta ölçekli işletmelerin Türkiye ekonomisindeki önemi göz önüne alınarak makroekonomik göstergelerin KOBİ endeksi üzerindeki etkisinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Aralık 2013-Temmuz 2021 dönemi için KOBİ endeksi üzerinde etkisi olduğu düşünülen Dolar kuru, Euro kuru, ticari kredi faiz oranı, reel güven endeksi, tüketici güven endeksi ve sanayi üretim endeksi değişkenlerine ilişkin aylık veriler çok değişkenli uyarlanabilir regresyon eğrileri (MARS) yöntemiyle analiz edilmiştir. Analiz sonuçlarına göre Euro kuru, Dolar kuru, ticari kredi faiz oranı ve borsa endeksi değişkenlerinin KOBİ endeksi üzerinde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı etkiye sahip olduğu belirlenmiştir. Genel olarak borsa endeksi, Dolar kuru ve Euro kurunun KOBİ endeksini artırıcı bir etkiye sahip olduğu, ticari kredi faiz oranının ise endeks ile ters yönlü azaltıcı etki gösterdiği ifade edilebilir. Ayrıca MARS yöntemine göre Euro kuru endeks üzerinde en yüksek etkiye sahip değişken olarak bulunurken, onu sırasıyla Dolar kuru, ticari kredi faiz oranı ve borsa endeksi izlemiştir. Elde edilen bu sonuçlar düzenleyici otoritelerin faiz oranı ve döviz kurlarını koruma yönündeki politikalar benimsemesinin küçük ve orta ölçekli işletmeler üzerinde olumlu etki yaratacağını göstermektedir.
Ekonomik kırılganlık mikro ve makroekonomik açıdan ele alınmaktadır. Mikroekonomik perspektif şokların bireysel hane halklarının refahı üzerindeki etkisiyle ilgilenirken, makroekonomik perspektif ise ...bu şokların ekonomik büyüme üzerindeki etkisine odaklanmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı makroekonomik kırılganlık ile ekonomik büyüme arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektir. Bu yazıda 1987-2018 dönemini kapsayan yıllık veriler kullanılarak Çin örneğinde makroekonomik kırılganlık ile ekonomik büyüme arasında nedensellik ilişkisini ortaya koymak için Johansen eşbütünleşme ve Granger nedensellik testleri kullanılmıştır. Analizlerden üç önemli sonuç elde edilmiştir. Birincisi, Çin’in makroekonomik kırılganlığı 2011'den beri artmaktadır; İkincisi, makroekonomik kırılganlık ile büyüme arasında uzun dönem ilişki mevcuttur; Üçüncüsü, ekonomik büyüme ile makroekonomik kırılganlık arasında çift yönlü bir nedensellik ilişkisi vardır.
