Material and Methods: This study is ...cross-sectional, comprised of eight hundred and and thirty eight participants (n=838) drawn from communities in eight different countries; Turkey (Agri), Nigeria (Ibadan), Pakistan (Charsadda), India (Assam), Malaysia (Ipoh), Madagascar (Antananarivo), Indonesia (Bandung), and Nepal (Kathmandu) between September-October 2020.
Results: The Health Literacy scale total score mean was 54.92±23.64. Vaccine Reliability Scale Total Score Means 55.38±12.99. It was found that there was a statistically significant negative correlation between Health Literacy scale total score mean and Vaccine Reliability Scale Total Score Means and two Vaccine Reliability Scale sub dimension; Vaccine Benefit Perception and Trust in Healthcare Professionals.
Conclusions: The Health Literacy total score mean was found to be statistically significantly higher among Nepal nationality, male, civil servant and those who do not think the COVID-19 vaccine will be effective and those who do not think they will receive the COVID vaccine if it is free (p

Charting her travels from Ireland to Bath, the manuscript diary (1796–97) of Charity Lecky is exceptionally useful in exploring intersections with other genres, particularly the novel, while also affording us with an adolescent’s observations on life, and on Bath as international marriage market. The categories of youth, gender, and nation all play strong roles in Charity’s evolving sense of self, and enable us to explore these intersections and how they can inform a young person’s sense of worth. Frequently dismissed by male contemporaries as preoccupied only with balls and marriage prospects, the voices of such figures were repeatedly marginalised. This article prioritises both these voices and the diary form itself, and fuses their legitimate interest in courtship with a concern and fascination with national identity, recognising the value of young women’s opinions, and demonstrating how we might better understand the evolution of personal identities through inclusion of such source material.
AIM: To investigate the prevalence and risk factors of pterygium in Zhuang and Miao nationality adults aged 40 and over in Wenshan prefecture, Yunnan Province.METHODS: An epidemiological survey of ...Zhuang and Miao nationality in Yunnan Province was conducted by using the portable slit-lamp and Keratograph-D eye surface analyzer. The Logistic regression analysis was operated to determine the impact of gender, age, occupation, outdoor activities and nationality on pterygium.RESULTS: Totally 1 239 participants were included from March to November 2019, 437 people had pterygium in one or both eyes, and the total prevalence was 35.27%. Pterygium of both eyes accounted for 59.27% while pterygium of single eye accounted for 40.73%. The prevalence of pterygium was 34.84%(224 people)in Zhuang population and 35.74%(213 people)in Miao population, there was no significant difference between the two groups(P=0.740). According to the result of Logistic regression analysis, opening of meibomian is the influencing factor of pterygium(P=0.019), with OR=1.348. Gender, age, education, outdoor activities, hypertension and eating habits were not the influencing factors of pterygium. Logistic regression was used to analyze the invasion degree of pterygium. The results showed that the height of lacrimal river was the influencing factor of pterygium(P=0.048). The lower the lacrimal river height, the greater the degree of invasion.CONCLUSION: The prevalence of pterygium in Zhuang and Miao nationality aged 40 and over in Wenshan prefecture, Yunnan Province is high, with no significant difference between the two nationalities. The function of meibomian gland, the quality and quantity of tears are related to pterygium.
Indonesian Jewish communities rarely appear in academic or scientific research. Some existing articles are about Jewish community in other countries or other minorities in Indonesia. This article is ...aimed to answer the question: “How is the identity and the sense of belonging of Indonesian Jewish Community, to Indonesia or to Israel? In this research, qualitative method is used to examine the issue. The approaches for this research are the concept of identity by Patricia Goff and Kevin Dunn and trying to us Asabiyyah concept by Ibn Khaldun. The finding of this research is the fact that Indonesian Jewish community have a strong relationship and sense of belonging to Indonesia and identify themselves more as an Indonesian. Indonesian Jewish community had contributed to Indonesia’s nation building in the past during the participation of war of independence. And furthermore, with more understanding on the community, the community can take part in building the Indonesian nation in the future.
Statelessness is a continuing international legal issue, with individuals lacking the protection of fundamental rights within the jurisdiction of a State. One aspect contributing to this problem is ...customary cross-border marriage between people of different nationalities, particularly in local border towns, for a variety of reasons. This study examines the phenomenon as a cause of statelessness and undocumented individuals and what the legal protection that international human rights instruments provide for States to comply. This study uses legal research by comparing the East Timor Constitution. Based on the study's results, the potential for statelessness and undocumented people due to cross-border marriage by custom has a detrimental effect on both women and children since it is difficult for them to obtain residence documents. Cross-border marriages between East Timorese men and Indonesian women by customary causing unregistered in Indonesia and East Timor. Field research shows that Indonesian women/wives in East Timor cannot exercise their rights since they are not East Timorese nationals. Noting the conflict of nationality laws between States, especially bordering States, the failure of both States to accommodate women that married are non-nationals breaches Article 9 of CEDAW and constitutes as discrimination against women defined under Article 1 of CEDAW
Spiritual intelligence is the soul of national education. Forgetting this creates a gap between ideals and the reality of education. Without mapping, educational understanding can be fragmented so ...that education is only seen partially. The academic challenge is how to map the education, character, and context of the digital age as well as the threat of disintegration of the nation can be done. Using the method of literature review with descriptive analytics, this research reveals the essence of education as character formation. At the end of the study, the answer was presented with three things: character education is a vision of national education, continuing education as the times becomes the general mission of national education, and adaptive implementation supports the development of the nation's character.
This article focuses on the interest and ability to acquire destination country nationality among non-EU-born adults in six European countries. While a sizeable literature has emerged on nationality ...policies and acquisition rates among immigrants, the ways that policies affect the acquisition process are less well understood. A key question is how laws and procedures affect the interest of immigrants to acquire nationality and their ability to do so in practice. This article argues that both immigrants’ interest and ability to acquire nationality are largely driven by their context, but in very different ways, depending on their individual, origin and destination country characteristics. The analysis finds that interest to acquire nationality is particularly affected by origin country dual nationality laws and destination country nationality procedures, while destination country nationality laws and procedures are the major determinant of immigrants’ ability to acquire nationality. These findings give citizenship policymakers reason to reflect on the potential impact of their laws and procedures on ability and interest, particularly given the fact that promotional measures and targeted integration support are generally weak across Europe.
