The presence of 25 species was reported during a survey carried out in the municipality of O Rosal (Pontevedra, NW Spain). Among them, Arthonia anglica and A. ligniaria are new records for the ...Iberian Peninsula, while Rinodina colobinoides and Usnea erinacea are new records for Spain. In addition, Agonimia opuntiella, Cliostomum griffithii, Coppinsiella ulcerosa, Lecanora barkmaniana, Micarea synotheoides, Physcia vitii, Reichlingia zwackhii, Rinodina biloculata, R. excrecens, R. conradii and R. pyrina are recorded for the first time in Galicia. Another 10 species included in this publication are new records for the province of Pontevedra.
An overview of the orchid genus Corybas in Vietnam is presented. It was known to be represented by a single species, C. annamensis. In this article, we report two new records, C. himalaicus, and C. ...geminigibbus. Detailed descriptions, synonyms, type data, information on ecology and phenology, distribution and color plates are provided for all three species along with the key to their identification.
The study presents a new collection of Psocodea (Insecta) from Unguja Island (Zanzibar, Tanzania), conducted during March 3rd to 9th, 2024. Despite recent efforts to explore Psocodea fauna in ...equatorial and tropical Africa, comprehensive studies in East Africa, particularly along the east coast and inland areas, remain limited. This research contributes to filling these gaps by documenting 16 species, including nine new records for the Zanzibar autonomic region and seven new records for Tanzania. Notably, one species (Nanopsocus sp.) may potentially be new to science.
New records for Türkiye of Ceutorhynchinae weevils are reported. Poophagus sisymbrii (Fabricius, 1977) is reported for the first time from Türkiye. In addition, Datonychus melanostictus (Marsham, ...1802), Pelenomus commari (Panzer, 1795) and Rhinonchus bruchoides (Herbst, 1784), already known from the Anatolian part of Türkiye, are recorded for the first time from Turkish Thrace. Additional localities of a few species already known from Thrace region are also given.
Arctosa cervina is removed from a junior synonym of Arctosa subamylacea, because it can be distinguished by the morphology of the epigyne and palpal organ. Arctosa cervina is newly recorded in Japan ...by the specimens collected in Saitama and Yamanashi Prefectures.

The Japanese species of the genus Leptobatopsis Ashmead, 1900 are revised. A total of eight species are recorded from Japan, including a new species, Leptobatopsis yaima sp. nov., and three species, ...L. annularis Kasparyan, 2007, L. koreana Lee & Kang, 2015, and L. nigricapitis Chandra & Gupta, 1977, newly recorded from Japan. A Chinese species L. annularis Sheng & Sun, 2013 is a homonym of L. annularis Kasparyan, 2007. Both species are clearly different, and we therefore propose a new replacement name for the former, L. sinica (nom. nov.). Leptobatopsis daedeokensis Lee & Kang, 2015 is newly synonymised with L. annularis Kasparyan, 2007. The taxonomic position of L. nigra immaculata Momoi, 1971 is changed from a subspecies of L. nigra Cushman, 1933 to separate species, L. immaculata. The female of L. badia Momoi, 1970 is newly described. A key to the Japanese species of this genus is proposed.
The composition and distributions of tabanids occurring in Maritime Canada are relatively well-known (see Teskey 1990; Marshall 2007; Thomas and Marshall 2009; Thomas 2011). However, some species ...have remained undetected until very recently. From New Brunswick in particular, field studies by several surveyors have yielded significant and new records of tabanids (Thomas 2018). Here we further add to the regional knowledge of this charismatic group and include a new record for the Maritimes and two additional provincial records.
