Using the pleasure, arousal, and dominance (PAD) model, this study seeks to extend existing knowledge about consumers' activities in online retail environments by focusing on the largely ignored role ...of perceived dominance. In online environments, perceived dominance might influence purchasing intentions both directly and indirectly through pleasure. Furthermore, consumers' perceptions of Web site atmospherics (informativeness, navigational cues, perceived organization, and entertainment) likely affect two dimensions of emotion (perceived dominance and arousal). This study also investigates the moderating effects of situational involvement on the relationships among the PAD dimensions for online consumers. The results affirm that perceived dominance has direct effects on purchasing intentions, as well as indirect impacts through pleasure. The impact of perceived dominance on pleasure also is moderated by situational involvement. Whereas high task-relevant cues exert significant effects on perceived dominance, low task-relevant cues influence arousal. Therefore, this research shows that perceived dominance relates to online customers' purchasing intentions, which represents an extension of existing knowledge about the PAD model applied online; it also provides notable managerial implications for e-marketers.
•We demonstrate that perceived dominance is an important customer's emotion and should not be ignored in online context.•We investigate the moderating effect of situational involvement on the inter-relationships among PAD dimensions.•The results reveal the significant effects of high task-relevant cues on dominance and low task-relevant cues on arousal.•The impact of dominance on pleasure is moderated by the situational involvement.
Unbalanced structure of the assortment leads to the decrease in the level of proft, loss of the competitive position of enterprises, including wine ones, in promising markets. In the conditions of ...the modern wine market, there is a tendency to increase consumer influence on the formation of the assortment range of wineries, focusing on wines with original consumer properties, in particular ice.
Ice wine is a rare wine of a special type, the technology of which involves the use of non-classical methods of processing grapes. Therefore, ice wine is characterized by original consumer properties leading to increased interestamong consumers who increasingly use distance means of buying goods. In this regard, in this article the monitoring of the ice wine assortment was conducted, which is presented on the sites of Ukrainian online stores, both general retail and specialized wine networks.Coefcient estimation methods were used to evaluate the assortment of ice wines based on comparison with the benchmark system. According to the results of the study, the low coefcients of breadth and depth of ice wine assortment presented in the onlinestoresin Ukraine were obtained.
It was determined that most ice wines are wines of foreign producers made from Riesling grapes. The Rozetka online store has the entire list of ice wines on sale, but the largest assortment of ice wines from around the world is not available for orders on the website of the specialized wine online store Wine Style. It should be noted that not a single position of ice wine was found in the online stores of Ukrainian grocery retail chains. Therefore, the subsequent formation of an assortment of ice wines is an urgent task, which will allow us to correctly propose effective methods to increase the competitiveness of ice wines on the Ukrainian retail market.

PurposeThis study examines the dynamic relationships of visit behavior in the multiple channels personal computer (PC) and mobile channels on online store sales ...performance.Design/methodology/approachThe empirical data were from an online store for the period between August 14, 2015 and May 15, 2016. The data consisted of consumer visit behavior and online store sales performance. Vector autoregression with an exogenous variables model was adopted to investigate the dynamic relationships.FindingsThe empirical results show significant relationships between visit behavior metrics (number of visitors, average number of visits per visitor and average length of each visit) in the two channels and online store sales performance. The number of visitors through the PC and mobile channels strongly and positively affects online store sales performance both in the short term and in the longer term. Moreover, the number of visitors in the PC channel has the strongest influence on sales performance metrics, followed by the number of visitors and the average number of visits in the mobile channel. The PC channel's visit behavior metrics explain a larger proportion of the sales performance variance than that in the mobile channel.Originality/valueThe previous literature on consumer behavior in multichannel marketing mainly focuses on channel selection or migration, and examines the different factors affecting channel choice behavior. Little is known about the impacts of visit behavior in the multiple channels. This study adopts the heuristic-systematic information processing theory to unveil the impacts of visit behavior metrics in the PC and mobile channels on online store sales performance.
Most online stores provide product review facilities that contain responses to a product. The number of reviews makes it difficult for potential customers to make conclusions, so that sentiment ...analysis is needed to extract information from these reviews. Most sentiment analysis is done at the document level, so the results were still lacking in detail because the classification is based on the entire sentence or document and does not identify the specific aspect discussed. This research aims to classify aspect-based sentiments from online store reviews using the convolutional neural network (CNN) method with the extraction of features using Word2Vec. The dataset used is Indonesian review data from the site bukalapak.com. The test results on the built system showed that CNN's method of Word2Vec feature extraction has a better score than the naive bayes method with an accuracy value of 85.54%, 96.12% precision, 88.39% recall, and f-measure 92.02%. Classification without using stemming preprocessing on the dataset increases the accuracy by 2.77%.
With the growth of e-commerce and numerous online businesses, more attention has been paid to the behavior of women who are an important part of consumers in this field. The purpose of the present ...study is to explore the influential factors on the intention of women to purchase clothing from online stores. In this regard, data were collected from 400 women in Khuzestan province using a questionnaire through convenience sampling. The conceptual model of the research was tested by structural equation modeling using SmartPLS3 software. The results revealed that the impacts of habitual online usage, subjective norm, and attitude toward online purchase were positive and significant on the intention to purchase online. In addition, the impact of perceived benefits on the intention to purchase online was also positive and significant. Furthermore, the results obtained from the Sobel test also revealed that attitude toward online purchase plays a mediating role between the perceived benefits and online purchase intention.
Retailer price promotions are an important marketing strategy to attract consumers. However, there is scarce evidence on how retail price promotions are being implemented by e-cigarette online ...stores, particularly for e-liquid products that are not often found in brick-and-mortar stores and sold in lower prices compared to other types of e-cigarettes.
We collect data on e-liquid price-promotion activities from online stores using web scraping. From February to May 2021, we scraped the price promotion data of over 14,000 e-liquid products, from five popular online vape shops that sell nationwide in the US. We present descriptive analyses of price promotion on those products, assess price promotion practices in online stores, and discuss components of the final purchase price paid by online customers.
Of the 14,000 e-liquid products and over, 13,326 (92.36%) were on sale, and each online store on average offered discounts from 9.20% to 47.53% for these products. The distribution of the after-discount price was largely similar across the five stores, and there is evidence that each store had adopted different price-promotion strategies.
Despite low prices, price promotions are common for e-liquid products, which may undermine the effect of e-cigarette pricing policies such as excise tax that are designed to raise e-cigarette prices.

These banking products and services are related to the receipt of deposits, ...the management of funds in the account, the provision of credit, electronic payment, financial advice, the provision of other electronic payment products and services such as electronic money.
Trade with the use of internet technology (e-commerce) provides new opportunities for expansion on a larger scale for already existing business entities and offers prospects for rapid development for ...new companies. This is possible due to the low entry barriers that encourage the sale of products. Online retail trade is gaining increased popularity in Poland. This article aims to analyze e-commerce development in Poland from 2010-2020. This analysis is based on data from the Central Statistical Office. The results of the analysis clearly show that the share of purchases made via the internet has been systematically growing from year to year. This growth contributes to the faster development of transport logistics, as well as the transport of the goods itself.
•Actual self-congruity positively affects the evaluation of visual and information atmospheric cues of an online store.•Ideal self-congruity negatively affects the evaluation of visual and ...information atmospheric cues of an online store.•The positive evaluations of visual and information atmospheric cues lead to delight.•Delight increases the consumer’s purchasing intention from an online store.
Recognizing that a consumer’s congruity judgment with a store image can be formed with both actual and ideal self-images, this study investigates the differential effects that these two congruity judgments might have on a consumer’s evaluation of an online store. The results indicate that the closer the image of an online store is to the consumer’s actual self, the more favorably the store is evaluated. Interestingly, however, the proximity between the image of an online store and a consumer’s ideal self has a negative effect on consumer evaluation toward the store. The results also indicate that the positive visual cues of an online store generate consumer delight more significantly than information cues do. Consumer delight is found to significantly increase the intention to make an initial purchase from the store.
Augmented reality (AR) is increasingly coming into the spotlight for its potential to improve the consumer experience through the creation of presence. This research aims to explore the theoretical ...mechanisms through which AR‐based product presentation influences online store attractiveness and whether the effects differ in the purchasing contexts of hedonic and utilitarian product types. From the perspective of consumers' bidimensional experience, we find that AR increases online store attractiveness by creating perceived coolness (intrinsic attribute) and spatial presence experience (extrinsic attribute), which would further have a positive impact on consumers' purchase intention. The mediating mechanisms are different in purchasing contexts of various product types: for hedonic products, perceived coolness and spatial presence are parallel mediating factors leading to the improvement of online store attractiveness; while for utilitarian products, only the mediation effect of spatial presence presents. Our findings enrich the literature on AR marketing by proposing an insightful mediating force (i.e., perceived coolness) to complement the effect of presence, and explore the different purchasing contexts. We also provide managerial guidance for e‐retailers to differentiate AR interface design for diverse product types to apply AR technology effectively.
